  • This paper presents a method of constructing the Linear Digital Switching Function(LDSF) over finite fields. The proposed method is as following. First of all, we extract the input/output relationship of linear characteristics for the given digital switching functions, Next, we convert the input/output relationship to Directed Cyclic Graph(DCG) using basic gates adder and coefficient multiplier that are defined by mathematical properties in finite fields. Also, we propose the new factorization method for matrix characteristics equation that represent the relationship of the input/output characteristics. The proposed method have properties of generalization and regularity. Also, the proposed method is possible to any prime number multiplication expression.

  • A delay switching PLL (DSPLL) is proposed for improvement of the frequency acquisition Performance (pull-in range) while keeping a narrow bandwidth LPF. It has, between the phase detector and the LPF, just a simple RC delay circuit, a switch and another phase detector controlling the switching time. For the common second order PLL, the pull-in capability of the DSPLL is analyzed approximately, without considering additive white noise effect, and verified experimentally. It is shown that the delay switching extends the pull-in range significantly, as much as a half of lock-range. At the phase tracking mode, the delay switching does not function, to make the DSPLL be a normal PLL.

  • This paper proposed a new charge-shared switching MDAC for a pipelined A/D converter The proposed architecture accomplishes the same function of a conventional multiplying-digital-to-analog converter (MDAC). By adopting the proposed scheme, about 40% of the total capacitances could be reduced and the speed of the MDAC increases. The performance of the charge-shared switching MDAC has been Proved by HSPICE simulations.

  • Modern telecommunications are increasingly demanding the addition of complex switching features to switching system software. These improvements also should satisfy customer demands for quick provisioning of new service features. But whenever we have developed the switching system in various types, we met problems that are lack of system engineers and short developments terms. We need new guidelines of software design to meet the demands and overcome our problems. So we propose new software platform, scenario driven call control engine (SDCCE) for ATM switching system software and implement an effective call control software using scenarios for ATM Switching System. A scenario is a set of procedures and supplementary scenarios written in data structure and gives benefits to easy adapt new or modified function by adding a scenario. The goal of SDCCE is to increase reusability and readability of software. Especially, it gives a good software extensibility and maintainability. And when we developed ptmp call processing control software, we could get high productivity by reusing scenarios and procedures of ptp call processing control software. We applied the scenario driven call control software to ATM switching system.

  • In this paper, we have presented a quantitative performance effect of CCP(Call Control Processor) when SAAL(Signalling ATM Adaptation Layer) function is distributed from CCP to SIMs(Subscriber Interface Modules) in an ATM switching system with distributed architecutre. For the performance analysis, SLAM II simulation language is used and subscriber signalling messageand inter-processor communication messages according to Q.2931 based local call processing procedure are taken into consideration in the proposed queuing network model. The results of simulation are compared with in case of processing SAAL function on CCP. It is observed that the processing utilization of CCP reach 24,000 BHCA and 25,700 BHCAwhen SAAL function load amounts to 10% and 20% of the processing time of the total message, respectively. These values shows that the processing utilization of CCP is alleviated about 7% in comparison with 2,000 BHCA in case that SAAL function is carried out on CCP. Consquently, it is shown that we have to consider seriously how to distribute the functions concerning call processing in a large cale ATM switching system architecture accomodating a number of SIMs.

  • This paper deals with the computer method of finding the minimal sum of products for a switching function by using the MASK method derived from the characteristics of the Boolean algebra. The experiments with the program which is dissimilar to the previous computer programs show that the algorithm presented will be more efficient.

  • This paper investigates the theoretical properties of a logic element called the multithreshold threshold element, which is a generalization of the single-threshold threshold element. The primary partition os a systematic method of obtaining the multi-threshold realization of a switching function by the index numbers. The concept of comparable vertices of the same index numbers introduced in this paper is very promising for testing the multi-threshold partition by the initial condition to be defined by the minterms of the same index numbers.

  • A new method for the modeling of non-ideal dc-dc converters whose switching times are finite is proposed. The effects of finite turn-on, turn-off times, delay time, storage time, reverse recovery process on the system stability, dc transfer function and efficiency are investigated. It is verified how system poles are changed and how dc transfer function and efficiency are decreased by non-ideal switching.

  • This paper deals with the computer program of finding the minimal sum-of-products for a switching function by using the MASK method derived from the characteristics of the Boolean algebra. The approach differs from the previous procedures in that all the prime implicants are determined only by the bit operation and the minimal sum-of-products are obtained by the modified Petrick method in this work. The important features are the relatively small amount of the run time and the less memory capacity to solve a problem, as compared to the previous computer programs.

  • This paper focuses on discrete-time sliding mode control with SIIM fuzzy adaptive switching gain. The adaptive switching gain is calculated using the simplified indirect inference fuzzy logic. Two fuzzy inputs are the normal distance from the present state trajectory to the switching function and the distance from the present state trajectory to the equilibrium state. The fuzzy output $f_{out}$(k) out f k is used to adjust the speed the adaptation law depending on the location of the state trajectory. The simulation results showed that the proposed method had no chattering in case of uncertain parameter without disturbance. Moreover the convergent rate of the switching gain was faster and more stable even in case of disturbance.
