The deployment of 5G is in full swing, with a significant yearly growth in the data traffic expected to reach 26% by the year and data consumption to reach 122 EB per month by 2022 [10]. In parallel, the idea of smart cities has been implemented by various governments and private organizations. One of the main objectives of 5G deployment is to help develop and realize smart cities. 5G can support the enhanced data delivery requirements and the mass connection requirements of a smart city environment. However, for specific high-demanding applications like tactile Internet, transportation, and augmented reality, the cloud-based 5G infrastructure cannot deliver the required quality of services. We suggest using multi-access edge computing (MEC) technology for smart cities' environments to provide the necessary support. In cloud computing, the dependency on a central server for computation and storage adds extra cost in terms of higher latency. We present a few scenarios to demonstrate how the MEC, with its distributed architecture and closer proximity to the end nodes can significantly improve the quality of services by reducing the latency. This paper has surveyed the existing work in MEC for 5G and highlights various challenges and opportunities. Moreover, we propose a unique framework based on the use of MEC for 5G in a smart city environment. This framework works at multiple levels, where each level has its own defined functionalities. The proposed framework uses the MEC and introduces edge-sub levels to keep the computing infrastructure much closer to the end nodes.
This study is to understand the preferences of pilots, flight engineers and crew who work in the same aircraft but are exposed to different working environments and perform different mission operations in order to develop an ergonomic flight jacket. Based on a preliminary investigation, a survey of 107 pilots and 36 flight engineers and crew was conducted. The results are as follows; Pilots can control the temperature inside the cockpit, so they are less exposed to the cold when working, while flight engineers and crew are exposed to the cold more because they have many external tasks. The reason for the problem of the current flight jacket was a difference in ranking between two groups, but the highest ranking was poor dimensional suitability due to the habit of wearing layers of clothing. As a result of preferred design, there were significant differences between groups in the item of overall style. Pilots preferred a bomber jacket style(P:68.2%, E&C:44.4%), on the other hand, flight engineers and crew preferred a field jacket style(P:26.2%, E&C:55.6%)(p<.01). They preferred a stand collar(P:71.0%, E&C:86.1%), a fastener slider for a front fastening(P:62.6%, E&C:61.1%), fastener tape cuffs(P:54.2%, E&C:47.2%), a jacket with a softshell(P:86.9%, E&C:83.3%), fleece as softshell material(P:88.8%, E&C:69.4%), and fastener sliders as a attaching method(P:69.2%, E&C:61.1%). A hem fastening will be selected differently according to the overall style of outshell. Additionally, they preferred more than 5ea pockets(P:51.4%, E&C:44.4%), fastener sliders as pocket's fastenings(P:48.6%, E&C:61.1%), armpit ventilations(P:62.9%, E&C:58.5%). The results of above will be considered to design an ergonomic flight jacket.
Background: Like direct infection from COVID-19, psychological concern about infection could affect health. Concern about COVID-19 infection was associated with individual habits to practice rules for preventing infection. Therefore, this study aimed to check occupational types and whether to practice tooth brushing after lunch depending on the occupation of economic workers and find correlations between concerns about infection due to COVID-19 pandemic and tooth brushing after lunch. Methods: The raw data was from the community health survey conducted in 2020. Among 229,269 adult participants aged 19 years and older, 138,970 economic workers were included in the final analysis. The chi-squared test was used to find differences in psychological concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the participants, the rate of practicing tooth brushing after lunch was based on COVID-19-related psychological concerns. Multiple logistic regression analysis was conducted to check the influence of psychological concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic on the rate of practicing tooth brushing after lunch. Results: According to occupational classifications, professionals and office workers and career soldiers had 1.551- and 1.581-times higher practicing rates than managers, respectively, whereas machine operators, agricultural and fishery sector workers, and daily laborers had lower practicing rates. Regarding COVID-19-related psychological concerns, the group with a lower concern about infection had a 1.076 times higher practicing rate than that with greater concern. The group with greater concern about blame from neighbors had 1.119 times higher practicing rate than that with lower concern. Conclusion: The correlations between higher economic workers' concerns about infection and blame from neighbors and higher recognition of the necessity to prevent COVID-19 and practice tooth brushing after lunch were confirmed. It is necessary to prepare measures for practicing tooth brushing after lunch suitable to the characteristics of occupational types and work environments of economic workers.
This study examined the relationship between prosocial motivation and acquiescent, defensive, and relational silence behaviors, and identified the mediating effect of emotional job burnout. We also examined whether these relationships differed depending on whether the organization is currently working virtually or not. To this end, we collected 359 samples from Korean employees working in general office jobs below managerial positions using online survey methods. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and PROCESS Macro, and the results showed that the relationship between prosocial motivation and acquiescent, defensive, and relational silence behaviors was mediated by emotional job burnout, with a partial mediation effect for acquiescent silence and a full mediation effect for defensive and relational silence behaviors. Furthermore, these relationships were found to be the same regardless of whether employees worked virtually or not. Finally, we discuss the implications of our findings, limitations of this study, and suggestions for future research.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to calculate the total daily nursing workload and the optimum number of nurses per intensive care unit (ICU) based on the nursing intensity and the direct nursing time per inpatient using the patient classification. Methods: Two ICUs at one general hospital were investigated. To calculate the nursing intensity, patient classification according to the nursing needs was conducted for 10 days in each unit during September 2018. We performed patient classifications for a total of 167 patient-days in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and 86 patient-days in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). The total number of person-days for nurses who responded to the Nursing Time survey was 151 for MICU and 85 for SICU. In each unit, direct and non-direct nursing hours, nursing intensity score, and direct nursing hours were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, and average calculated using Microsoft Excel. The amount of nursing workload and the optimum number of nurses were calculated according to the formula developed by the authors. Findings: For the MICU, the average direct nursing time per patient was 5.59 hours for Group 1, 6.98 hours for Group 2, and 9.28 hours for Group 3. For the SICU, the average direct nursing time per patient was 5.43 hours for Group 1, 7.21 hours for Group 2, 9.75 hours for Group 3, and 12.82 hours for Group 4. Practical Implications: This study confirmed that the appropriate number of nurses was not secured in the nursing unit of this study, and that leisure time such as meal time during nursing work hours was not properly guaranteed. The findings suggest that to create working environments where nurses can serve for extended periods of time without compromising their professional standards, hospitals should secure an appropriate number of nurses.

This work focuses on the implementation and optimization of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System(AS/RS) which is associated with Logistics Information System(LIS). We survey literature and present a case study for the optimization of Logistics System. In the case study, we examine the adaptation and implementation of AS/RS after we analyzed the processes of the company. Logistics Information System is an important component to keep up with the competitive advantage in the global business environments. The company in the case applies LIS to its efficient physical distribution management. AS/RS leads to some benefits; maximized storage space, increased productivity, reduced labor costs and human error, and improved accuracy. AS/RS is found especially effective when working with narrow aisles and extremely high racks.

This study aimed to explore the influence of family characteristics on the work-life balance of early adolescents. A series of data analyses was conducted on adolescents' use of time in daily life on the basis of 2018 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS 2018). We found that the work-life balance of youth is related to their parents' health status, presence of older siblings, household income, parenting attitude, parent-child communication time, and mother's occupation. The work-life balance of the fifth graders is more likely to be influenced by family characteristics compared with that of the eighth graders. In particular, the fifth graders' sleep deprivation is affected by the mother's occupation, but there is no significant effect on the eighth graders' sleep deprivation. An important factor in skipping breakfast is household income, with adolescents from low-income families tending to skip breakfast more than five days a week. In addition, parents' health status and parenting attitude are significantly related to skipping of breakfast in early adolescents. Household income is related to the after-school private tutoring hours of both the fifth and eighth graders; however, parenting attitude and mother's occupation are also significant influencing factors of the fifth graders' after-school study. Mother's occupation is related to excessive cell phone use; specifically, the fifth graders whose mothers work white-collar jobs, sales and services or manufacturing are more likely to play with cell phones more than three hours a day than those whose mothers are full-time housewives. These results suggest that the work-life balance policies targeted at the family characteristics of adolescents can improve family environments in a manner that enhances adolescents' life balance, thus supporting the well-being of early adolescents and their families.
In this study, we propose the core factors and application of asymmetric virtual reality(VR) content in which head-mounted display(HMD) user and Non-HMD users can work together in a co-located space that can lead to various experiences and high presence. The core of the proposed asymmetric VR content is that all users are immersed in VR and participate in new experiences by reflecting widely a range of users' participation and environments, regardless of whether or not users wear the HMD. For this purpose, this study defines the role relationships between HMD user and Non-HMD users, the viewpoints provided to users, and the speech communication structure available among users. Based on this, we verified the core factors through the process of producing assistive asymmetric VR content and cooperative asymmetric VR content directly. Finally, we conducted a survey to examine the users' presence and their experience of the proposed asymmetric VR content and to analyze the application method. As a result, it was confirmed that if the purpose of asymmetric VR content and core factors between the two types of users are clearly distinguished and defined, the independent experience presented by the VR content together with perceived presence can provide a satisfactory experience to all users.

The purpose of this study is to develop the curriculum for the private certificates of reading instruction newly which can perform a reading instruction effectively in digital environment as the digital technology has changed the overall paradigm of reading. The curriculum for the private certificates of reading instruction was designed and proposed finally through deriving the implications over an study of the changes about reading paradigm in digital environment, searching the features and benefits over an in-depth analysis of domestic and international curriculum practices for training reading specialist, collecting the opinions and verification work over a Delphi survey of experts in the field of reading instruction. The finally developed curriculum consists of 6 kinds of training area, 21 kinds of subject and 82 kinds of training course content respectively to achieve the main function and purpose of the changed reading instruction in digital environment and in order to train reading specialist capable of applying properly them in reading instruction field.
This study was conducted to identify the job stress factors of school foodservice employees and to examine the relationship between job stress and turnover intention through path analysis. Data was collected using a survey of 432 school foodservice employees in elementary and secondary schools in Masan, Kyungsangnam-do. All of the participants were female, and 165(52.9%) were over the age of 45' Additionally, 310(99.4%) of the respondents were married, while 287(92.0%) had less than a high school level of education. Furthermore, 271(86.9%) of the respondents were cooks. Overall, 107(34.3%) of the respondents had worked in the food industry for less than $5{\sim}10$ years. In addition, 208 (66.7%) respondents answered that they had 'never' changed jobs. Among job characteristics that causes job stress, job posture was the primary stress factor, followed by heavy work load and job condition. Job stress was found to be significantly correlated with turnover intention. Additionally, job position was the only moderating variable that was found to be correlated with job characteristics and job stress. Finally, the moderating variables influencing the effects of job stress on turnover intention were identified as performance confidence, job career, and job position. The results of this study will be useful for future studies conducted to evaluate the development of job environments and performance to minimize turnover and job inefficiency as a result of job stress.
