의료 질 향상 활동에 대한 병원장의 인식 및 태도 (Cognition and Attitude of Hospital CEOs toward Healthcare Quality Improvement Activity)

  • Background : The purpose of this study was to investigate the understanding and the attitude of Korean hospital CEOs toward the healthcare quality improvement. Methods : A mailed questionnaire survey to the CEOs of hospitals with 400 beds or more was conducted between September 15 and October 30, 2000. Of the 108 hospitals eligible for the study, 58 participated, yielding a response rate of 54 percent. Result : The hospital CEOs have expressed that their hospital management was arduous job, and they had been pressured by increasing competitions among healthcare providers. They indicated that the low fees of health insurance made their hospital management difficult. The results also indicated that there was general consensus that the improvement of service quality was important in encouraging their organizations, but the investment of manpower and equipment ranked higher than the improvement of service quality. The majority of the CEOs have good understanding about quality improvement activities. However the facts that in general QI must be focused at the process of services and customer satisfaction, meanwhile quality improvement activities are helpful for the organizational productivity embarrassed them. The hospital CEOs responded that there were successful changes in terms of quality of care, patient satisfaction, and process efficiency after QI activities, but no increase in patient number and profit. Lack of understanding to QI activities and limited budget seem to attribute unsatisfactory outcomes. Conclusion : The majority of Korean hospital CEOs have a good understanding and attitude about QI activities. As mentioned in the result, despite of several limitations, several facts regarding the CEOs of hospital in Korean can be elucidated. (1) The general cognition of the QI project is relatively high, and it is accepted with positive concern, (2) the priority of the QI project, however, is not set higher than other projects and (3) the specific concepts of the actual QI project such as customer (patient)-focused work driving, the recognition of the work accomplishment, and the importance of rewards have not sufficiently understood.

초등학교의 흡연교육 실태 (Status of Smoking Prevention Education in Elementary Schools)

  • A survey was conducted from September 15 to December 15 2001. Structured questionnaires were mailed to school nurses in 607 elementary schools around the country in order to determine the current status of anti-smoking education in elementary schools. The result were as followers 1. Of the 607 schools, 535 $(88.1\%)$ offered smoking-prevention education. By region, Jeju-do $(100\%)$ topped the list, followed by Seoul $(90.3\%)$, Gyeongsang-do$(90.2\%)$, Jeolla-do$(88.9\%)$, Gangwon-do $(87.8\%)$, Chungcheong-do $(84.6\%)$, and Gyeonggi-do $(81.4\%)$. 'Recognition of the need for anti-smoking program $(86\%)$' was a major motivation for initiating the program, while 'too much workload $(46.4\%)$' was cited as a main reason for the failure to do so. 2. The classes were offered mostly for 6th-grade students $(87.8\%)$, while $9.0\%$ and $2.0\%$ were implemented at 5th- and 4th- grades, respectively. 3. $49.1\%$ of the classes offered lasted one hour, while $31.8\%$ involved a two-hour program. 4. Programs were mainly about smoking-related diseases, habitual nature of smoking, impediment to growth and development, etc. 5. Audio-visual lecture $(46.5\%)$ was most frequently used as a method of education, followed by lecture. 6. $72.7\%$ of the programs used classroom as a unit of education, while collective education by sex or by grade accounted for $22.6\%$. 7. Video $(51.0\%)$ was the most popular medium for education, while computer ranked second with $26.5\%$. 8. $92.5\%$ of the education was offered by school nurses. 9. $99.2\%$ of school nurses responded in favor of anti-smoking programs. with $60.1\%$ of them answering that such education is a must. 5th grade was the most commonly cited grade for the initiation of the programs, followed by 4th grade and 6th grade. $33.2\%$ picked two hours as the most appropriate length of the program at the elementary school level. while $25.1\%$ chose 3 hours out of the range of 1-11 hour(s). 10. With regard to the evaluation by school nurses on smoking-prevention program, more than $30\%$ felt that hours of education, education materials, medium of education, interests of other teachers, interests of school authorities, etc. were inadequate or insufficient.

소규모사업장 보건관리지원사업에 대한 평가연구 (An Evaluative Study of a Subsidiary Program in Small Scale Industries)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the subsidiary program on occupational health services in small scale industries. The survey of occupational health services was undertaken in 346 industries from July 1 to August 31. 1994. The major results were as follows ; 1. The subsidiary program on occupational health services The evaluation of working environments were conducted in 305 industries, $42.3\%$ of the industries had the harzardous agents exeeding TLV. Special medical examinations were done in 310 industries. the results were detected $C(33.3\%).\;D_1(0.8\%), D_2(5.4\%)$. Health management were done in 341 industries, the average visits for a industry were 3.8 times. The activities of health management were included to check of the workplace. health education, health counselling, etc. 2. The recognition of the employees and employers on occupational health services $91.5\%$ of employers and $87.0\%$ of workers felt healthy themselves. But $39.7\%$ of employers and $21.2\%$ of workers were under the stress from their jobs or home affairs. The workers perceived more harmful for the hazardous agents than the employers. $32.8\%$ of employers and $42.9\%$ of workers perceived that employer's efforts were the most important things to protect for the hazardous agents. The result of the evaluation of working environments were understood by $57.3\%$ of employers and $24.5\%$ of workers. The notification of medical examinations were recognized $83.9\%$ of employers and $50.3\%$ of workers. Many employers and workers felt the necessities of health management in small scale industries. The priorities of health manegement were different between employers and workers. Employers' priorities were as follows ; follow up care of medical examination$(97.3\%)$, health counselling$(93.7\%)$, planning of health$(93.5\%)$, health education of occupational diseases$(93.2\%)$, health education of chronic diseases$(93.5\%)$, etc. Workers' priorities were as follows ; follow up care$(93.4\%)$, health counselling$(94.3\%)$, health education of occupational diseases$(93.0\%)$. first aids$(92.0\%)$. etc.

온라인 패션광고의 지속가능성 평가에 대한 소비자 혁신성 효과 (Effects of Consumer Innovativeness on the Evaluation of the Online Fashion Advertisement Sustainability)

  • 본 연구에서는 소비자 혁신성이 온라인 패션광고의 지속가능성에 대한 평가와 광고제품 구매의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 인터넷과 모바일의 온라인 패션광고를 접한 경험이 있는 소비자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 최종 573명의 데이터가 분석되었다. 수집된 자료는 요인분석, t 검증, 중회귀분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 소비자 혁신성 평균값을 중심으로 혁신성이 높은 집단과 낮은 집단을 구분하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 온라인 패션광고의 지속가능성 개념은 광고표현의 객관성, 광고표현의 비유해성, 개인정보의 보호성, 웹이용 비침해성 등 4개 요인의 하위차원으로 구성되었음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 소비자 혁신성이 높은 집단이 낮은 집단에 비해 인터넷 사용시간 뿐만 아니라 온라인 광고경험이 유의하게 높았다. 그리고 소비자 혁신성 높은 집단이 낮은 집단에 비해 온라인 패션광고의 하위 차원 중에서 개인정보 보호성, 웹이용 비침해성, 광고표현 객관성을 유의하게 높게 인식하고 있었다. 마지막으로, 소비자 혁신성이 높은 집단에서는 광고표현 객관성, 웹이용 비침해성이 광고제품의 구매의도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 소비자 혁신성이 낮은 집단에서는 광고표현 객관성, 개인정보 보호성이 광고제품의 구매의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

수학교사의 테크놀로지 교수 내용 지식(TPACK)에 대한 연구 : TPACK에 대한 인식 및 교육요구도 분석 중심으로 (A study on TPACK of mathematics teachers : Focusing on recognitions and educational needs of TPACK)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between utilization of technology and TPACK in mathematics teachers, and to analyze needs and retentions, difference between needs and retentions, and educational needs of TPACK in mathematics teachers. Furthermore, we will prioritize TPACK items that mathematics teachers want to change, and provide implications for teacher education related to TPACK in the future. To do this, we analyzed 328 mathematics teachers nationwide by using survey on the utilization of technology, averages of TPACK's needs and retentions, t-test of two averages, Borich's educational needs analysis, and the Locus for Focus model. The results are as follows. Firstly, the actual utilization rate was lower than the positive recognition of utilization of technology by mathematics teachers, and many mathematics teachers mentioned the lack of knowledge related to TPACK. Secondly, the characteristics of in-service mathematics teacher's needs and retentions for TPACK were clear, and TPACK's starting line of in-service mathematics teacher can be different from pre-mathematics teacher's. The retentions was high in the order of CK, PCK and PK, and the needs was higher in the order of TPACK, TCK, TK and TPK. All of the higher retentions were knowledge related to PCK, and the value of CK was extremely high among them. In addition, mathematics teachers recognized needs for integrated knowledge related to technology, and they needed more TCK than TPK. The difference between needs and retentions showed that all items except two items in the PK were significant. Retentions of all items in CK was higher than needs, needs of all items in TK, TCK, TPK and TPACK was higher than retentions, PK and PCK were mixed. Thirdly, based on the analysis of Borich's educational needs and the Locus for Focus model, teacher education on TPACK for mathematics teachers needs to focus on TPACK, TK, TCK, and TPK. Specifically, TPACK needs to combine technology in terms of creativity-convergence, mathematical connections, communication, improvement of evaluation quality, and TK needs to new technology acquisition, function of utilizing technology, troubleshoot problems with technology, TCK needs to mathematical value(esthetic, practical) with technology, and TPK needs to consider technology in terms of evaluation methods, teaching and learning methods, improvement of pedagogy. Therefore, when determining the direction of teacher education related to TPACK in the future, if they try to reflect these items in detail, the teachers could participate more actively and receive practical help.

울릉도 현포항 개발 거버넌스 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Developmental Governance of Hyunpo Port)

  • 본 연구는 울릉도 현포항을 대상으로 지속가능한 공간환경 재생을 위한 새로운 패러다임으로서 지역주민, 중앙과 지방정부의 거버넌스에 기초한 어항개발방안을 모색하였다. 연구목적을 수행하기 위해 울릉도 주민을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과 첫째, 현재 울릉도 주거환경의 가장 큰 문제로 접근성 불량, 병원 보건소, 상가 부족 등 생활환경 취약이 높게 지적되었고, 둘째, 현재 정부와 지방자치단체의 울릉도 관련 개발 사업이 실제로 지역경제 활성화 및 울릉도 주민의 삶의 질 개선에 기여하지 못한다는 인식이 많았고, 셋째, 울릉도 관련 개발사업 추진의 애로사항으로 울릉도가 보유하고 있는 각종 자원에 대한 중요성이나 활용에 대한 인식 부족, 중앙정부와 지방자치단체의 지원 부족을 큰 문제로 지적하였고, 넷째, 현재 현포항의 관리수준을 미흡하게 인식하였다. 이상의 조사결과를 바탕으로 개발주체의 지속성, 현포항 개발의 비전제시, 주인의식 전환을 위한 노력, 지역현실을 고려한 단계적 추진, 거대한 테마보다 소규모로 알찬 콘텐츠를 제공할 수 있는 개발이 중요함을 보여주었다.

소방드론 도입에 따른 소방공무원의 인식과 드론의 운용 및 활용에 대한 연구 - 전라남도 소방공무원을 중심으로 (A Study on the Awareness of Firefighters on the Introduction of Drones and the Operation and Application of drones - Focusing on the Firefighters of Jeollanam-do)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 전라남도 소방공무원을 대상으로 소방드론이 필요한 업무 및 활용분야, 드론 교육의 필요성과 참여 여부 등 드론의 활용방안을 분석을 통해 제시하는 것이다. 설문조사 결과, 응답자의 80.29%는 드론을 운용해볼 의사가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 드론이 가장 필요하다고 생각하는 업무 분야는 구조, 화재진압, 생활안전, 구급, 기타 순으로 나타났다. 또한 응답자의 77.38%는 드론이 소방공무원의 안전사고 예방에 기여할 것이라 생각하고 있으며, 70.13%의 응답자는 소방드론 운영인력은 보직 변경을 통해 운영하는 것이 적정하다는 의견을 제시하였으며, 운용 연령대는 40대를 가장 많이 선택하였다. 또한 이들 응답자 중 82.84%가 드론 교육에 참여의사가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 드론의 활용이 소방 공무원의 고령화에 따른 체력관리와 퇴직 관리에 도움이 될 것으로 인식하였다. 소방드론의 업무활용 영역은 요구조자 탐색, 현장 정보 확인, 현장 사전위험도 확인 등의 순으로 나타났다. 드론운영경험에 따른 집단별 차이분석에서는 요구조자들에 대한 안전조치 항목, 드론 운용대원의 확보방안 등의 항목에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 근무경력별 분산분석에서는 드론의 활용분야와 관련된 4가지 항목들, 그리고 드론의 운용대원 연령대 및 퇴직 관리 도움여부 항목 등 총 8개 항목에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있음을 확인하였다.

일부지역 치위생과 학생들의 학사학위 취득을 위한 학점은행제 요구도 조사 (A study on the needs of dental hygiene students in a region for the credit bank system for a bachelor's degree)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the needs of dental hygiene students at a lifelong education center of a three-year-course college for a credit bank system. The subjects in this study were 200 dental hygiene students at a college located in J, which offered courses of a credit bank system. A survey was conducted from May 19 to 23, 2008, to gather data on the acquisition of a bachelor's degree and the credit bank system, and the answer sheets from 184 respondents(92%) were collected. After the collected data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 12.0 program, the following findings were given: 1. In regard to an intention of taking a bachelor's degree, the largest number of the students investigated(74.5%) intended to do that if they had any chance. As for the reason, 55.6% wanted to get the degree in pursuit of their own personal development. 2. Concerning how to win a bachelor's degree, the largest group that accounted for 63.0% preferred the credit bank systems of college lifelong education centers. 41.8% got interested in the credit bank system mainly because their acquaintances informed them of it. It shows that colleges should reinforce publicity activities if they want to offer the credit bank system. 3. The quality of educational programs and cost had an impact on the choice of an educational institution when they planned to get a bachelor's degree from the credit bank system. Therefore excellent educational programs should be provided, and the government should provide learners with economic help and fund educational institutions. 4. As to comparison of a regular college and the credit bank system as a way to get a bachelor's degree, that was considered to be helpful for finding a job(a mean of 3.39) and for the development of sociability(3.22). That was also deemed to be of use for the improvement of practical job performance, to win public recognition and to be helpful for being well-cultivated, though not many students had those opinions. They took a different view according to academic year(p<.05). 5. Regarding the expected effects of getting a degree from the credit bank system, the greatest group expected it to step up their personal development(3.85). The second largest group expected it to boost job efficacy(3.30), and the students whose academic year was higher had a better opinion. 6. As for future directions for the credit bank system, the largest group put emphasis on the improvement of social perception through intensive P.R. and the enhancement of the qualifications of professors and lecturers(4.02). These opinions were more stressed by the juniors than by the sophomores and seniors, and academic year made a significant difference to their views(p<.05).

우리나라 성인의 걷기운동과 삶의 질의 관련성 (The Relationship between Walking exercise and Quality of Life for Korean Adults)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 도시 지역 성인을 대상으로 걷기운동 정도와 건강관련 삶의 질과의 관련성을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 제4기 3차년도(2009) 국민건강영양조사 자료에서 피조사자들 중, 신체활동 설문과 EQ-5D의 5개차원에 대해 적어도 하나 이상 답을 하지 않은 723명을 제외한, 도시에 거주하는 만 19세 이상 남자 3,892명, 여자 3,959명을 포함한 총 성인인구 7,851명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구 결과 건강관련 삶의 질은 성별, 교육수준, 배우자 유무, 월평균소득, 스트레스, 만성질환 수, 건강인식 그리고 걷기운동실천 여부가 통계적으로 유의한 관련을 보였다. 특히 걷기운동 실천을 하는 사람이 그렇지 않은 사람보다 삶의 질이 더 높게 나타났는데 이는 신체 활동을 통한 삶의 질이 비활동군에 비해서 고강도 or 중등도 보다는 걷기운동이 유의한 차이를 보였다. 이는 걷기운동을 할 경우에 건강에 따른 삶의 질이 높아지고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 지역사회 주민들의 건강관련 삶의 질 수준을 높이기 위해서는 본 연구에서 확인된 내용을 토대로 이들에 필요한 정책적인 지원과 규칙적인 걷기 운동을 통한 효과적인 운동프로그램 개발이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

재가노인복지시설 급식소의 위생·영양관리 실태조사 연구 (Current Status of Sanitary and Nutritional Food Service in Elderly Day Care Center)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to examine the status of foodservice management, with special interest on sanitary and nutritional food service in elderly day care centers. Methods: A total of 79 employees who managed foodservice facilities in elderly day care centers were included in the survey. The contents of the questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, importance and performance of sanitary and nutrition management, the reasons for poor performance, factors necessary for improvement, and the employee's demand for support. Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS v25.0. Results: Sanitary management showed an average importance score of 4.84 ± 0.40 and a performance score of 4.70 ± 0.61 (t-value: 8.260). The item with the lowest performance score was personal sanitary management (4.58 ± 0.71). In nutrition management, the average importance score was 4.52 ± 0.68, and the performance score was 4.20 ± 1.00 (t-value: 9.609). There were significant differences between the average score of importance and performance in both areas. As a result of an Importance-Performance Analysis, items that were recognized as important but had relatively low performance was "personal hygiene", "ventilation" and "food storage". Also in the nutritional management area, "menu planning for disease management" and "checking the saltiness in the soup" etc. had very low performance with low importance recognition. The items shown in the "low priority" quadrant were those that required professional management skills. In the areas that demanded support in foodservice management, education about sanitary and safe institutional food service had the highest score (4.42 ± 0.74), and all other items showed a demand of 4 points or more. Conclusions: Foodservice managers recognize the importance of foodservice facility management but performance is relatively low. Institutional support is, therefore, needed to improve performance. For items with low importance, it seems necessary to improve awareness of the necessity of these items and to provide education in this regard. To gradually improve foodservice management, continuous provision of education and training in these areas are of great importance.
