계면활성제 유화법에 의한 D상 유화물 제조와 특성 (Preparation and Properties of D Phase Emulsion by Silicone Oil)

  • D상 유화법을 적용하고 상도를 이용하여 유화메커니즘을 설명하였다. D상 유화작용은 등방성 계면활성제 용액의 형성과 함께 시작되며 계면활성제 용액에 octamethyl cyclotetrasiloxane(OMCS)의 분산으로 계면활성제중 오일(O/D) 겔 유화물의 형성에 의해 진행된다. 폴리올은 이 실험목적상 필수성분이다. 폴리올의 기능을 이해하기 위해 비이온 계면활성제/오일/물/폴리올계의 용액거동을 폴리옥시에틸렌올레일에테르/OMCS/프로필렌글리콜(PG)의 수용액인 3성분의 상도를 이용하여 조사하였다. 등방성 계면활성제상에서 오일의 용해도는 PG를 가함에 따라 증가하였다. D상 유화물은 OMCS의 농도가 70~90% 범위에서와 계면장력이 2.0~3.0 dyne/cm 범위에서만 형성되었으며, D상 유화물은 $10{\mu}m$ 정도 크기의 균일한 구상으로 O/W 형이었다.

  • In this study, we analysed tree surface flow by using the experimental and numerical method with a different surfactant concentration. We compared numerical solution with experimental results for one-dimensional model. The result shows that in general the tree surface velocity can well be reproduced by the one-dimensional model for various surfactant concentration.

$Al_{l3}$ 거대 양이온으로부터 알루미나-계면활성제 중간상의 합성 (Synthesis of Alumina-Surfactant Mesophase with $Al_{l3}$-Keggin Cation)

  • Alumina-surfactant mesostructures have been synthesized with the $Al_{13}$-Keggin cation prepared by Al(N $O_3$)$_3$.9$H_2O$ solution with NaOH solution in the presence of a non-ionic surfactant at room temperature. The synthesized samples had the hexagonal structure similar to MCM-41 type materials. These samples have been characterized by X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis(TG). The samples prepared from OH/Al ratio 1.5 and 2.0 were well-crystalline mesostructures, but the sample from OH/Al ratio 2.5 was not. Also, The d$_{100}$ value decreased slightly from 38 to 36 according to the OH/Al mole ratio. These results could be explained that Keggin ion depended on the OH/Al molar ratio and pHpH

헬리컬 흡수기의 열ㆍ물질전달 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Beat and Mass Transfer Characteristics of Helical Absorber)

  • In this study, heat and mass transfer characteristics of five components solution (LiBr+Lil+LiNO$_3$+LiCl+$H_2O$) which could be substituted for commonly used LiBr solution are tested using a helical absorber. The arrangement of helical-typed heat exchangers allows to make the system more compact as compared to conventional one. The effects of experimental parameters, such as the solution flow rate, cooling water, solution temperature, solution concentration and surfactant have been investigated in view of the heat and mass transfer. The results of the experiment of heat and mass transfer performance show that five components solution should have 2% higher concentration fur equal absorption capacity of LiBr solution. But considering that five components solution have higher solubility than LiBr solution about 4% high concentration, five components solution could be applied to a small sized water cooled or air cooled absorption chiller/heater. The increase of heat and mass transfer coefficient by surfactant addition is about 25∼30% and 23∼40% respectively.

미셀용액에서 Cyanocobalt(II) 착물의 리간드치환 반응에 대한 속도론적 연구 (Kinetic Studies on the Ligand Substitution Reactions of Cyanocobalt(II) Complexes in Micellar Solutions)

  • Kinetic studies on the ligand substitution reactions of cyanocomplexes were performed in several micellar solutions. It showed the observed rate constants was found to be independent of the entering ligand concentration at high concentration of cyanopyridine and pyrazinecarboxylate. We could see also that in nonionic and anionic micellar solutions no influence of changes in the surfactant concentration on the observed rate constants was found. Taking into account the hydrophilic nature of the cobalt complex, the cobalt complex molecule was expected to be located in the aqueous phase of the micellar systems, where the reaction would take place. In cationic micellar solutions, a small increase in the observed rate constant was found when the cationic surfactant concentration increased. After reaching a maximum, the rate constant decreased on increasing surfactant concentration and subsequently it reached a plateau, where the observed rate constant was independent of changes in the surfactant concentration.

  • Cyclic voltammetric method is used to survey microscopic environments which take place at the surfactant-modified carbon electrode when the hydrophobic and hydrophilic environments of $Ru(ph){_3}^{2+}$(tris 1,10-phenanthroline ruthenium(II) chloride) is created by the addition of anionic surfactant, sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS). Critical micelle concentration(CMC) of SDS in $Ru(ph){_3}^{2+}$ measured by cyclic voltammetry(CV) is in aggrement with that by surface tensiometry. Influence of the concentration of supporting electrolyte at surfactant-modified carbon electrode is investigated.

Characterization of PVOH Nonwoven Mats Prepared from Surfactant-Polymer System via Electrospinning

  • The electrospinning process is a fascinating method to fabricate small nanosized fibers of diameter several hundred nanometers. Surfactant-polymer solutions were prepared by adding poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVOH) to distilled water with cationic, anionic, amphoteric, and non-ionic surfactants. Average diameter of the electrospun PVOH fibers prepared from PVOH solution was over 300 nm, and was decreased to 150 nm for the mixture of PVOH/amphoteric surfactant. To explain the formation of ultra fine fiber, the characteristic properties in a mixture of PVOH/surfactant such as surface tension, viscosity, and conductivity were determined. In this paper, the effect of interactions between polymers with different classes of surfactants on the morphological and mechanical properties of electrospun PVOH nonwoven mats was broadly investigated.

공냉식 수직 흡수기의 열전달에 미치는 계면활성제의 영향 (Influence of surfactant on heat transfer of air-cooled vertical absorber)

  • This research was concerned with the enhancement of heat transfer by surfactant added to the aqueous solution of LiBr. Different vertical tubes were tested with and without an additive of normal octyl alcohol. The test tubes were a bare inner surface, groove inner surface, corrugated inner surface and spring inserted inner surface tubes. The additive concentration was about 0.08 mass%. The heat transfer coefficient was measured as a function of film Reynolds number in the range of 20~200. Experiments were tarried out at higher cooling water temperature of $35^{\circ}C$ to simulate an air cooling condition for several kinds of absorber testing tubes. The experimental results were compared with cases without surfactant. The enhancement of heat transfer by Marangoni convection effect which was generated by addition of the surfactant is observed in each test tube. Especially, it is clarified that the tube with an inserted spring has the highest enhancement effect.

Meso-tetrakis (N-methylpyridinium-4-yl) porphyrin 존재 하에서 sodium n-dodecyl sulfate 용액 성질 (Solution properties of sodium n-dodecyl sulfate in the presence of meso-tetrakis (N-methylpyridinium-4-yl) porphyrin)

  • 양이온성 수용성 5, 10, 15, 20-tetrakis(N-methylpyridinium-4-yl) porphyrin (TMPyP)의 존재 하에서 음이온 계면 활성제인 sodium n-dodecyl sulfate 의 용액 특성을 전도도법, UV-vis 및 공명 빛 산란 (RLS) 분광학적 방법을 이용하여 포괄적으로 연구하였다. 그 결과에 따르면 TMPyP 농도의 증가로 SDS 용액의 임계 미셀 농도는 감소하였는데, SDS 미셀의 안정화는 미셀 표면에 존재하는 음전하의 중화 때문이다. SDS용액 내에는 자유 포르피린 단량체, 미셀에 속박된 포르피린 단량체 또는 응집체, 그리고 nonmicellar porphyrin/계면 활성제 응집체와 같은 세 종류의 TMPy종이 분명히 존재하였다. 우리의 연구 결과는 SDS가 TMPyP의 응집을 유도한다는 것을 나타내었다. 실제로 두 종류의 J-aggregations이 관찰되었는데, 하나는 미셀에 속박된 포르피린 단량체 또는 응집체였으며, 다른 하나는 nonmicellar porphyrin/계면 활성제 응집체이다. 그러나, cmc이하에서는 TMPyP가 SDS 음이온과 정전기 상호작용을 나타내었다.
