Dielectric Polymers for OTFT Application

  • A series of new dielectric polymers with phenyl, epoxy, and carboxylicacid functional groups was prepared via free-radical polymerization. The effect of such dielectric polymers with various functional groups on the performance of OTFT was investigated. The nonpolar groups of terpolymer made the surface of the dielectric layer more hydrophobic and improved the crystal growth of pentacene on the gate insulator, resulting in higher mobility. By controlling the functional group, the electric characteristics of OTFT performance was varied, with $0.00017-0.15\;cm^2/V{\cdot}s$ mobility.

윤활유의 공기 혼입에 따른 동하중 조건에서의 저널 궤적에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Locus of Dynamically-Loaded Journal Bearing with Aerated Lubricant)

  • Journal locus with aerated lubricant is analyzed under the dynamic loading condition. In this analysis, we have found that aerated lubricant influences two major factors on the film formation. One is the density variation of the lubricant due to the volume change by the bubbles and the other is the viscosity changes of the lubricant due to the surface tension of the bubble. Those two major factors surprisingly increase the load capacity in certain ranges of bubble sizes and densities. Modified Reynolds'equation is developed with the consideration of aerated ratio in the lubricant and journal locus is computed with Mobility method with the computation of two dimensional pressure distribution over the bearing area.

  • The effects of salt are studied on control of weeds and growth of Korean turfgrass(Zoysia japon-ica Steud.). And the mobility of salt were determined in a lawn field. At post-emergence stage, the growth of the 13 weeds such as Trifolium repens, Erigeron canadensis, Artemisia prieceps, Equi-setum arvense, etc were controlled by treatment of salt and salt water, Pea-annua and Equisetum arvense were tolerant to salt compared with the other 11 weeds. At pre-emergence stage, the salt controlled the germination of the weeds in soil. 300~500 kg /10a salt and 20~30 % salt waterwere enough for the control of weeds, However, salt water injuried the lawngrass except the dormancy stage. The mobility of salt in soil was increased by rainfall. After 160mm of rainfall, the salinity in the soil treated with salt 500kg /l0a was below 0.3 ms/cm in surface soil and about 0.1 ms /cm in soil 30 cm depth. Electrical properties of Organic TFT patterned by shadow-mask with all layer

  • Pentacene thin film transistors fabricated without photolithographic patterning were fabricated on the plastic substrates. Both the organic/inorganic thin films and metallic electrode were patterned by shifting the position of the shadow mask which accompanies the substrate throughout the deposition process. By using an optically transparent zirconium oxide ($ZrO_2$) as a gate insulator and octadecyltrimethoxysilane (OTMS) as an organic molecule for self-assembled monolayer (SAM) to increase the adhesion between the plastic substrate and gate insulator and the mobility with surface treatment, high-performance transistor with field effect mobility $.66\;cm^2$/V s and $I_{on}/I_{off}$>$10^5$ was formed on the plastic substrate. This technique will be applicable to all structure deposited at low temperature and suitable for an easy process for flexible display.

  • We fabricated organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) based a fluorinated copper phthalocyanine ($F_{16}CuPc$) as an active layer. And we observed the surface morphology of the $F_{16}CuPc$ thin film. The $F_{16}CuPc$ thin film thickness was 40nm, and the channel length was $50{\mu}m$, channel width was 3mm. We observed the typical current-voltage (I-V) characteristics and capacitance-voltage (C-V) in $F_{16}CuPc$ FET and we calculated the effective mobility.

산화아연 박막의 전기저항률 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Electrical Resistivity Variation of Zinc Oxide Thin Film)

  • ZnO thin film had been deposited on the glass by sputtering method, and the electrical and structural properties were investigated. When the rf power was 180W and sputtering was 10 m Torr at room temperature, Al-doped ZnO thin film had the lowest resistivity(1$\times10^{-4}\Omega\cdot{cm}$) and then carrier concentration and Hall mobility were $6.27\times10^{20} cm^{-3} and 22.04 cm^2/V\cdot$s, respectively. The undoped ZnO thin film had about 10$\times10^{14}\Omega\cdot cm$ resistivity when oxygen content was 10% or more at room temperature. When the oxygen content was 50% and below and sputtering pressure was 1.0$\times$1.0 \ulcorner Torr, the surface morphology of thin film observed by SEM was overall uniform.

  • The complete structural characterization of dehydrodivanillin, an important natural product of interest to the food, cosmetics and aroma industries, has been carried out using multi-dimensional NMR spectroscopic techniques, and its previously $reported^{13}$C-NMR values have been reassigned. Dense and granular thin films of dehydrodivanillin have been grown by sublimation under high vacuum and studied using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), electrical and optical techniques. The transmittance spectra of the films indicate a wide optical band gap of more than 3 eV. Typical J-V characteristics of Glass/ITO/dehydrodivanillin/Al structure exhibited moderate current densities ${\sim}10^{-4}\;A/cm^2$ at voltages > 25 V with an appreciable SCLC mobility of the order of $10^{-6}\;cm^2$/V-s.

  • The transport property of stabilized amorphous selenium typical of the material used in direct conversion x-ray imaging devices was studied using the moving photo-carrier grating (MPG) technique and time-of-flight (TOF) measurements. For MPG measurement, the electron and hole mobility, and recombination lifetime of a-Se films with arsenic (As) additions have been obtained. For TOF measurement, a laser beam with pulse duration of 5ns and wavelength of 350 nm was illuminated on the surface of a-Se with thickness of $400{\mu}m$.

  • In this study, the recrystallization of polycrystalline silicn by CW CO2 laser is reported. With a variation of CW CO2 laser power, the surface morphology of recrystallized silicon is observed by SEM and the value of resistivity and mobility is obtained by Hall measurement. From the obtained results, it is concluded that the polycrystalline silicon is locally melted at 39W laser power and the reduction of resistivity and the increase of mobility are caused by the increase of grain size and the reduction of the potentical barrier at grain boundaries.

견관절 장애와 관절 가동운동 (Joint mobilization techniques of the shoulder joint dysfunction)

  • The techniques of joint mobilization and traction are used to improve joint mobility or to decrease pain by restoring accessory movements to the shoulder joints and thus allowing full, nonrestriced, pain-free range of motion. In the glenohumeral joint, the humeral head would be the convex surface, while the glenoid fossa would be the concave surface. The medial end of the clavicle is concave anterioposteriorly and convex superioinferiorly, the articular surface of the sternum is reciprocally curved. The acromioclavicular joint is a plane synovial joint between a small convex facet on lateral end of the clavicle and a small concave facet on the acromion of the scapula. The relationship between the shape of articulating joint surface and the direction of gliding is defined by the Convex-Concave Rule. If the concave joint surface is moving on a stationary convex surface, gliding occur in the same direction as the rolling motion. If the convex surface is moving on a stationary concave surface, gliding will occur in an opposite direction to rolling. Hypomobile shoulder joints are treated be using a gliding technique.
