CAM Zirconia 완전도재 구조물의 정밀 적합도에 관한 연구 (A STUDY OF PRECISE FIT OF THE CAM ZIRCONIA ALL-CERAMIC FRAMEWORK)

  • State of problem: Zirconia all-ceramic restoration fabricated with CAM system is on an increasing trend in dentistry. However, evaluation of the marginal and internal fits of zirconia bridge seldomly have been reported. Purpose: This study was to evaluate the at of margin and internal surface in posterior 3-unit zirconia bridge framework fabricated with CAM system(DeguDent, Germany). Material and Method: Preparations of secondary premolar and secondary molar on artificial resin model were performed for fabrication of 3-unit posterior bridge framework. Fits of 5 zirconia bridge framework were compared with 5 precious ceramo-metal alloy framework(V-GnathosPlus, Metalor, Switzerland), and prepared margins were designed to chamfer and shoulder finishing line. Each framework was cemented to epoxy resin model with reinforced glass ionomer(FujiCEM, GC Co., Japan), embedded in acrylic resin and sectioned in two planes, mesio-distal and buccolingual. Samples were divided into six pieces by sectioning and had two pieces of each surface(i.e mesial, distal, buccal and lingual surface) per abutment, so there were eight measuring points in each abutment. External gap was measured at the margin and internal gaps were measured at the margin, axial and occlusal surface. Gaps were observed under the measuring microscope(Compact measuring microscope STM5; Olympus, Japan) at a magnification of $\times100$. T-test were used to determine the statistic significance of the different gaps between zirconia and metal framework. Results and Conclusion: 1. External and internal marginal gaps of zirconia and metal framework were in clinically acceptable range. External marginal gaps were not different significantly between zirconia$(81.9{\mu}m)$ and metal $(81.3{\mu}m)$ framework and internal marginal gaps of zirconia $(44.6{\mu}m)$ were smaller than those of metal framework $(58.6{\mu}m)$. 2. Internal axial gaps of zirconia framework$(96.7{\mu}m)$ were larger than those of metal frame-work$(78.1{\mu}m)$ significantly and adversely, internal occlusal gaps of zirconia frame-work$(89.4{\mu}m)$ were smaller than those of metal framework $(104.9{\mu}m)$ significantly. 3. There were no significant differences in external and internal marginal gaps between chamfer and shoulder finish line when zirconia frameworks were fabricated.

Electroless Nickel Autocatalytic Gold (ENAG) 표면처리와 Sn-Ag-Cu솔더 간 접합부의 계면반응 및 취성파괴 신뢰성 비교 연구 (Comparative Study of Interfacial Reaction and Drop Reliability of the Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu Solder Joints on Electroless Nickel Autocatalytic Gold (ENAG))

  • 본 연구에서는 Sn-Ag-Cu (SAC)솔더와 electroless nickel autocatalytic gold (ENAG) 표면처리 간 계면반응 및 낙하충격 신뢰성을 연구하였다. ENAG 솔더 접합부의 특성은 다른 Ni계 표면처리인 electroless nickel immersion gold(ENIG)와 electroless nickel electroless palladium immersion gold (ENEPIG)와 비교 평가 하였다. SAC솔더와 Ni계 표면처리 계면에서는 (Cu, Ni)6Sn5 intermetallic compound (IMC)가 형성되었다. IMC 두께는 SAC/ENAG와 SAC/ENEPIG는 1.15 ㎛, 1.12 ㎛로 비슷하였고, SAC/ENIG는 IMC 두께가 2.99 ㎛로 SAC/ENAG보다 2배 정도 높았다. 또한 솔더 접합부의 IMC두께는 무전해 Ni(P) 도금액의 metal turnover (MTO)조건에 영향을 받는 다는 것을 알 수 있었고, MTO가 0에서 3으로 증가하면 IMC두께가 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 전단강도는 SAC/ENEPIG의 접합강도가 가장 높았고, SAC/ENAG, SAC/ENIG 순이었다. 또한, MTO가 증가하면, 전단강도가 낮아짐을 알 수 있었다. 취성파괴도 SAC/ENEPIG가 세가지 접합부 중 가장 낮았으며, SAC/ENAG, SAC/ENIG 순이였고, 마찬가지로 MTO가 증가하면 취성파괴가 높아짐을 알 수 있었다. 낙하충격 시험에서도 0 MTO조건이 3 MTO조건보다 높은 평균파괴횟수를 갖는 것을 확인하였고, 평균파괴횟수도 SAC/ENEPIG, SAC/ENAG, SAC/ENIG순으로 높았다. 낙하 충격 후 파단면을 관찰한 결과 크랙은 IMC와 Ni(P)층 사이에서 진행되었다.

  • 전자 제품의 경박 단소화 및 고집적화가 이루어 지면서 실리콘 집과 인쇄회로기판의 인터커넥션의 고신뢰도가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구는 Sn-4.0wt%Ag-0.5wt%Cu (SAC405) 솔더와 다양한 무전해 Ni-P 도금 두께에서의 high speed shear 에너지 및 파괴 모드를 연구하였다. 파괴 모드 분석을 위하여 집속이온빔(FIB) 분석이 이용되었다. 질산 기상 처리하지 않은 $1{\mu}m$ Ni-P 시편에서 낮은 shear 에너지가 나왔으며, 이는 솔더레지스트 선단에서 파단의 원인을 제공하는 것이 확인되었다. 질산 기상 처리한 시편에서 무전해 Ni-P 도금 두께가 커질수록 취성 파괴 모드는 감소한다. 또 Ni-P 도금 두께와 표면 거칠기(Ra)는 반비례 관계를 가진다. 이는 Ni-P 도금의 표면 거칠기를 낮추면 SAC405 솔더 조인트의 신뢰도를 향상시킨다는 사실을 나타낸다.

DEEP-South: Round-the-clock Census of Small bodies in the Southern Sky

  • As of early 2015, more than 12,000 Near-Earth Objects (NEOs) have been catalogued by the Minor Planet Center, however their observational properties such as broadband colors and rotational periods are known only for a small fraction of the population. Thanks to time series observations with the KMTNet, orbits, optical sizes (and albedo), spin states and three dimensional shapes of asteroids and comets including NEOs will be systematically investigated and archived for the first time. Based on SDSS and BVRI colors, their approximate surface mineralogy will also be characterized. This so-called DEEP-South (Deep Ecliptic Patrol of the Southern Sky) project will provide a prompt solution to the demand from the scientific community to bridge the gaps in global sky coverage with a coordinated use of the network of ground-based telescopes in the southern hemisphere. We will soon finish implementing dedicated software subsystem consisted of automated observation scheduler and data pipeline for the sake of increased discovery rate, rapid follow-up, timely phase coverage, and efficient data analysis. We will give a brief introduction to test runs conducted at CTIO with the first KMTNet telescope in February and March 2015 and experimental data processing. Preliminary scientific results will also be presented.

삼차원 스캐너와 가변 적층 쾌속조형공정을 이용한 대형 입체 형상의 쾌속 제작 : 러쉬모어산 기념물 제작 사례 (Rapid Fabrication of Large-Sized Solid Shape using 3D Scanner and Variable Lamination Manufacturing : Case Study of Mount Rushmore Memorial)

  • This paper describes the method to rapidly fabricate the large-sized physical model with the envelope model size of more than 600 mm${\times}$ 600 mm${\times}$ 600 mm using two type semi-automatic VLM-ST processes in connection with the reverse engineering technology. The fabrication procedure of the large-sized solid shape is as follows: (1) Generation of STL data from 3D scan data using 3D scanner, (2) generation of shell-type STL data by Boolean operation, (3) division of shell-type STL data into several pieces by solid splitting, (4) generation of USL data for each piece with VLM-Slicer, (5) fabrication of each piece by cutting and stacking according to USL data using VLM-ST apparatus, (6) completion of a shell-type prototype by zigzag stacking and assembly for each piece, (7) completion of a 3D solid shape by foam backing, (8) surface finish of a completed 3D solid shape by coating and sanding. In order to examine the applicability of the proposed method, the miniature of the Mount Rushmore Memorial has been fabricated. The envelope model size of the miniature of the Mount Rushmore Memorial is 1,453 mm${\times}$ 760 mm${\times}$ 853 mm in size. From the result of the fabricated miniature of the Mount Rushmore Memorial, it has been shown that the method to fabricate the large object using two type semi-automatic VLM-ST processes in connection with the reverse engineering technology are very fast and efficient.

TiC-SKH51 금속 복합재를 이용한 공작기계 주축 진동 억제에 관한 연구 (Suppression of Machine Tool Spindle Vibration by using TiC-SKH51 Metal Matrix Composite)

  • 고속 가공과 저중량 설계에 대한 수요가 증가함에 따라, 공작기계 주축의 진동 발생 가능성이 증가하고 있다. 또한 초정밀 가공에서 주축의 진동은 공작물 표면 형상에 큰 영향을 끼치게 된다. 다양한 가공 공정의 가공 정밀도를 향상시키기 위해, 공작기계 주축 진동 문제를 해결하여야 한다. 이 논문에서, 공작기계 주축의 진동 억제를 위해 TiC-SKH51 금속 기지 복합재가 사용되었다. TiC-SKH51 복합재의 동적 특성을 확인하기 위해 충격 망치 시험을 수행하였다. FEA의 모드 분석 결과와 충격 망치 시험 결과를 비교하여 FEA의 신뢰성을 확인한 후, 공작기계 주축 모델의 해석이 실행되었다. FEA 결과로부터 진동 발생 억제를 위해 TiC-SKH51 복합재를 적용한 공작기계 주축이 사용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • This paper describes an overview of the thixoforming and thixomolding processes. Semi-solid metalworking (SSM), which is called the thixoforming process of aluminium materials, incorporates the elements of both casting and for the manufacture of near net shape parts. The SSM has some advantages such as net shape or near net shape manufacturing, the ability to form thin walls, excellent surface finish, tight tolerance, and excellent dimensional precision. The thixomolding process of Mg alloy (AZ9l) is a combination of two technologies both conventional die casting and plastic injection molding. The feed material used is a machined chip with a geometry of approximately 1 mm square and a length of 2~3 mm. The semi-solid forming (SSF) of high quality aluminium and magnesium parts will be established in the automotive and electronic industry, in the future. The hybrid method of casting/forging has been caused attention. This process uses a preformed material made by casting instead of the wrought material and finishes it by a single forging process. This process is expected to lower costs without sacrificing the mechanical and finishes it by a single forging process. The process is expected to lower costs without sacrificing the mechanical properties. The authors, intending that the casting/forging process contributes to a reduction in production cost of aluminum automotive parts in Korea, describes the feature of the casting/forging process, aluminum alloys suitable for the cast preform, microstructure and mechanical properties of the cast preform, application examples of cast/forging, and further study.

The Substitution of Inkjet-printed Gold Nanoparticles for Electroplated Gold Films in Electronic Package

  • Over the past few decades, metallic nanoparticles (NPs) have been of great interest due to their unique mesoscopic properties which distinguish them from those of bulk metals; such as lowered melting points, greater versatility that allows for more ease of processability, and tunable optical and mechanical properties. Due to these unique properties, potential opportunities are seen for applications that incorporate nanomaterials into optical and electronic devices. Specifically, the development of metallic NPs has gained significant interest within the electronics field and technological community as a whole. In this study, gold (Au) pads for surface finish in electronic package were developed by inkjet printing of Au NPs. The microstructures of inkjet-printed Au film were investigated by various thermal treatment conditions. The film showed the grain growth as well as bonding between NPs. The film became denser with pore elimination when NPs were sintered under gas flows of $N_2$-bubbled through formic acid ($FA/N_2$) and $N_2$, which resulted in improvement of electrical conductance. The resistivity of film was 4.79 ${\mu}{\Omega}$-cm, about twice of bulk value. From organic anlayses of FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, and TGA, the amount of organic residue in the film was 0.43% which meant considerable removal of the solvent or organic capping molecules. The solder ball shear test was adopted for solderability and shear strength value was 820 gf (1 gf=9.81 mN) on average. This shear strength is good enough to substitute the inkjet-printed Au nanoparticulate film for electroplating in electronic package.

  • 국내 최초로 액체로켓엔진용 연료 과농 가스발생기가 개발되었으며 이것은 고온, 고압가스(약 900 K, 약 58 bar)를 초당 4 kg이상 발생시킬 수 있다. 고압가스는 터보펌프 터빈을 구동하며, 추진제 탱크에 필요한 열 공급원으로 사용될 수 있다. 본 가스발생기는 개념설계 및 초기 개발시험을 거쳐 최종 형상이 결정되었으며, 구조 및 열 해석이 동시에 진행되었다. 제작은 정밀 기계가공과 표면처리, 특수용접공정을 통해 이루어졌으며, 최종 개발 성능 및 기능 특성 확인을 위해 두 종류의 가스발생기가 제작되어 연소시험을 통한 평가가 진행되었다. 안정적인 점화 및 연소특성과 함께 발생 연소가스의 온도분포 및 평균온도 특성이 양호하며, 개발 요구 조건을 본 개발품이 만족하는 것으로 성공적인 개발이 이루어졌다.
