대인접객서비스 근로자의 성별 직무스트레스와 우울 (Gender Differences in Job Stress and Depression of Service Workers)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to estimate the job stress and depression of female and male service workers and to determine the predictors influencing depression. Method: In this cross-sectional study, the data were collected from hotel, wholesale, and insurance companies. A total of 244 workers were recruited. Among them, 118 were female workers. A self-administered questionnaire was consisted of personal characteristics, job stress, daily life stress, social support, and depression. Depression was measured using a CES-D Korean version. Result: The average job stress of female workers was higher than that of male workers (P<.05). The average depression scores of female workers were higher than those of male workers, but the difference was not statistically significant. Multiple regression analysis showed that role conflict and low social support were significant predictors of depression in female workers. In male workers, role conflict, low social support, and under-utilization of abilities were significant predictors of depression. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that depression of service workers may be prevented by creating a workplace environment that focuses on role conflict and social support. Also, health providers should consider the vulnerability of working women to job stress.

Two-Step Scheduling Scheme to Support Fairness and QoS in DVB-S2 System

  • The use of an efficient packet scheduling scheme for a forward link in satellite communication networks is very important to support fairness for each return channel satellite terminal (RCST) and the service differentiations for user traffics. To support fairness and QoS for each RCST with service-level agreement (SLA), the Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) system in a satellite hub has to process packets with considering modulation and coding (MODCOD) and packet types. Although a DVB-S2 system with ACM scheme has higher transmission efficiency, it cannot offer fairness or quality of service (QoS) to RCSTs. Because the data are transmitted with high MODCOD in regions with clear skies, while data are transmitted using low MODCOD in regions experiencing rain events. In this paper, we propose a two-step scheduling scheme offering fairness and QoS to RCSTs, while minimizing a decrease in throughput. The proposed scheme is carried out performance evaluations using a computer simulation. As results of this simulation, the proposed scheduler was shown to support bandwidth fairness to an individual RCST, and provide a level of QoS differentiation for user traffics.

  • 시각장애인은 움직임에 대한 제한으로 상대적으로 교육의 공평한 기회가 제공되고 있지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 시각장애인들이 정보격차 해소는 물론 웹 접근에 관한 연구와 시각장애인들의 정보습득 방법에 대한 선호도를 분석 조사하고 분석한다. 이 자료를 통해 시각장애인을 대상으로 한 초고속통신망에서 인터넷 웹서비스를 이용한 교육지원서비스 시스템을 설계하고, 분석하고, 실시간으로 교육 정보를 주고받을 수 있는 커뮤니티 프로그램을 개발하여, 원격에서 재택 교육지원시스템 활성화 방안을 제시하여 시각장애인의 교육지원 정보 접근서비스에 기여하고자 한다.

병원 및 개인의 특성에 따른 전자상거래 시스템 만족도의 차이 (Differences of e-commerce system satisfaction by hospital and health care managers' characteristics)

  • This study was trying to find the differences of the levels of e-commerce system satisfaction and a relationship between system satisfactions and behavioral intention to use e-commerce system continuously. Based on the previous studies, we identified the factors of system satisfaction that were consist of system readiness, accuracy, content, ease of use, timeliness and IT Support. The system satisfaction levels of martial status and the training status of hospitals had significant differences. In martial status, un-married managers had higher levels of ease of use and timeliness than the married. In this result, we might consider an age effect for younger persons are more likely to use IT and have more satisfaction perceptions. Rather than training hospitals, non-training hospitals had higher level of ease of use and IT support, which could be interpreted as e-commerce systems of training hospitals might not match their own managerial purposes and need an improvement of their system functionalities. This study also identified that the factors of system satisfaction has a relationship with behavioral intentions. Except accuracy and IT support of all six system satisfaction factors, four factors were significantly correlated with system usage intentions in their e - commerce works.

외식 프랜차이즈 가맹본부의 사후 지원서비스가 가맹점의 관계품질과 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Franchisor's On-going Support Services on Franchisee's Relationship Quality and Business Performance in the Foodservice Industry)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내 외식 프랜차이즈 시스템에서 가맹점에 대한 가맹본부의 관계품질에 영향을 미치는 변수를 사후 지원서비스로 설정하고, 사후 지원서비스가 가맹점의 관계품질(신뢰, 만족, 몰입)과 경영성과(재무적 성과, 비재무적 성과)에 미치는 영향에 대한 포괄적인 모형을 개발하는 것이다. 제안된 모형을 검증하기 위하여 서울 및 경기 지역의 외식 프랜차이즈 가맹점 경영자 500명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하여, 구조방정식을 통해 실증 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사후 지원서비스 요인 중 제품범주 및 가격 요인과 정보제공 및 문제해결 능력 요인은 가맹점의 만족과 몰입에만 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 물류지원과 슈퍼바이저 지원 요인은 신뢰와 만족에만 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 재교육 및 훈련지원 요인은 가맹점의 신뢰와 몰입에만 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 판매촉진 요인은 신뢰 만족, 그리고 몰입 모두에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 관계품질요인들 간의 관계는 신뢰가 만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지만 몰입에는 직접적으로 영향을 미치지 못하고, 만족을 통해서 몰입에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 신뢰는 재무적 성과에만 긍정적인 영향을 미치고, 만족과 몰입은 재무적 성과와 비재무적 성과 모두에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 결과요약과 시사점, 그리고 연구의 한계점과 향후 연구방향이 제시되었다.

노인 입원환자의 퇴원계획 프로그램 개발을 위한 퇴원 서비스 요구도 조사 (A Study on Discharge Service Needs for Discharge Planning Program Development to the Elderly at the Hospital)

  • I. Background The problem of discharging patients from hospital have been well documented in the literature over the last 20 years. They included poor communication between hospital and community, inadequate notice of discharge, over-reliance on informal support and lack of statutory support, inattention to patients needs before leaving hospital, and wasted or duplicated visits by community nurses. Most patients discharged from hospital are able to return home with little or no support, while others will require a 'package of care' to support them back to good health. Patient with complex care needs, including the frail elderly and those with mental health problems, may require continuing care in special housing, residential, or nursing homes. With this population,effective discharge arrangement is needed and the study on this problem is urgent in Korea because the Medical Reform Project is on suspension of success. II. Results of the Study: 1. Discharge service needs assessed on 360 elderly patients who were hospitalized during the survey period at four university hospitals. Patients want to know the information on disease management after discharge. Follow-up telephone service is the most frequently checked service. 2. Multidisciplinary Discharge Planning is recommended at the hospital level to reduce the readmission and decrease the length of stay. 3. Further research is needed to validate and test the assumption of the solution which is developed in this research.

Modelling of Differentiated Bandwidth Requests in IEEE 802.16m Systems

  • In order to support a large number of mobile stations (MSs) with statistical multiplexing in cellular networks, a random access scheme is widely used for uplink (UL) bandwidth request (BR). In the design of a random access based BR scheme, there are two important requirements: short connection delay and diverse Quality of Services (QoSs) support. Such requirements are crucial for IMT-Advanced systems like IEEE 802.16m to provide various types of fourth generation (4G) data services. IEEE 802.16m provides advanced UL BR schemes for non-real time polling service (nrtPS) and best-effort (BE) service to meet the requirements of short connection time and multiple QoS level support. In order to provide short connection time and multiple QoS support, three-step and differentiated BR procedures are adopted. In this paper, a novel modelling of IEEE 802.16m contention based BR scheme is proposed that uses a 2-dimensional discrete time Markov chain. Both the short access delay three-step BR procedures and normal five-step BR procedure are considered in the model. Our proposed model also incorporates the IEEE 802.16m differentiated BR procedure. With the proposed model, we extensively evaluate the performance of IEEE 802.16m BR for two different service classes by changing QoS parameters, such as backoff window size and BR timer. Computer simulations are performed to corroborate the accuracy of the proposed model for various operation scenarios. With the proposed model, accurate QoS parameter values can be derived for the IEEE 802.16m contention-based BR scheme.

모바일 기반 개인 맞춤형 의료서비스 지원 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Support System for Personalized Medical Service Based on Mobile)

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 네트워크를 이용한 온라인 원격 진료 서비스가 논의되고 있는 시점에 맞춰 환자에게 적합한 의료기관을 매칭하는 개인 맞춤형 의료서비스 지원 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템을 설계하기 위해 개인 맞춤형 의료서비스 지원 시스템의 요구사항을 파악하여 데이터를 표준화하였고 서버와 클라이언트 구조로 아키텍처를 설계하였다. 또한 설계한 시스템을 구현하기 위해 서버와 클라이언트, 온톨로지 저장소의 구조를 정의하고 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 설계 및 구현한 개인 맞춤형 의료서비스 지원 시스템을 테스트하기 위해 가정 사항과 시나리오를 작성하여 테스트를 수행한 결과 환자 증상을 선택하면 선택된 증상별로 진료과가 추론이 되고 환자가 원하는 의료기관의 항목에 따라 1차 추론되 진료과에 맞는 의료기관이 추론이 되는 것을 확인하였다.

국회도서관 입법정보서비스 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improving Legislative Information Service in the National Assembly Library of the Republic of Korea)

  • 본 연구는 의원입법과정에서 발생하는 입법지원조직의 정보요구를 바탕으로 국회도서관 입법정보서비스 개선방안을 제시하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 입법지원조직 소속 이용자 20명을 심층 인터뷰하였다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 서비스와 시스템 개선방안을 제안하였다. 서비스 개선분야에서는 해외입법사례 정보요구 및 정책정보의 보완에 대한 요구 그리고 홍보가 필요한 부분을 반영하였다. 시스템 개선분야에서는 외국법률정보를 중심으로 법률정보시스템의 서비스인지도를 높이는 방안과 입법지원조직마다 차별화된 정보서비스를 제공할 수 있는 개인화서비스 운영방안을 제안하였다.

가족봉사단의 봉사활동 경험의 효과 연구 -건강가정지원센터를 중심으로- (A Study on Effectiveness of Service Experience of Family Voluntary Service Group -Focused on Health Family Support Center-)

  • In-depth interview research and qualitative methodology were used to find changes in the experiences of family volunteer activities through the use of the Health Family Support Center. Ultimately, 143 items as sub-concepts, 42 items as sub-categories, and 10 items as subjects were found. I will also suggest alternative basic and primary data. First, using 10 subjects, the following points were evaluated in detail. I looked at what kind of changes in the volunteer activities these subjects experienced after working at the Health Family Support Center, and what the specific underlying reasons were for the changes in their family volunteer experience. These included 'community solidarity', 'family community', 'leisure and culture for the family', 'communication', 'personal relations', 'coping skills', 'growth', 'sympathy', 'positive thinking', 'future plans'. Second, families experienced a feeling of belonging as community members and the family realized the importance of their life, learned communication methods and coping skills. Third, families came to have new opportunities to grow as humans and learned a feeling of sympathy for others. Fourth, families found new paradigms to think positively about their daily life and to establish future plans. We will need more effort to empower family experiences of family volunteer activities that use the Health Family Support Center as well as supporting its staff. The following specific factors were the main mediating factors for using such a facility: family volunteer education, family volunteer service agency consulting, program planning, and managing family volunteers and other services.
