This paper describes implemation of 'General-purpose ETRI MAP interface module' (GEM) for Mini-MAP network. GEM operates as a Mini-MAP node in our FA system. To communicate between GEM and programmable devices(PD) such as PLC and CNC, serial communication is used. Application programs of a MiNi-MAP host system control and monitor programmable devices via GEM. GEM is implemented and tested on the basis of the MAP 3.0. TBC in the Nini-MAP board performs the function of the MAC sublayer. The LLC sublayer is implemented according to the specification of Class 3 that includes Type 1 and 3. And the MMS services are designed within the scope of implementation class MAP3. All the softwares are implemented under the real-time multitask OS for real-time application of the Mini-MAP and they are loaded into PROMs at the network board of GEM. We tested the LLC functions to make use of a protocol analyzer for the token-passing protocol. Also the MMS conformance test was carried out by exchanging primitives between GEM and a MMS product that had already passed the conformance test. Therefore GEM is proposed as a network tool of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) to integrate PDs which don't support MAP functions.
When researchers plan R&D projects, they usually use patent map or paper map for the objective decision-making, but in traditional korean medicine field, domestic patents and papers have been mainly proposed as results of many R&D projects, while most of patent or paper map tools support international patents and SCI papers, respectively. Therefore, as an alternative one KIOM constructed the project map which can provide the technology landscape for R&D project information in traditional korean medicine field. But the functions of the system is limited to the search and analysis with chart. So sophisticated analysis results are hard to get from the existing system. This research's goal is to upgrade the web based project map analysis system to provide researcher rich functionality and advanced analysis tools.
Due to a growing interest in searching and expressing knowledge effectively, knowledge management methods such as Topic Map are becoming more important. Topic Map organizes knowledge that is full of intricate relations, so maintaining and managing Topic Map consistently is very essential. TMCL and other constraint languages have limits as they can check simple constraints but can not support complex constraints like dependence constraints. Current constraint checking systems operating at the application level are also showing an inferiority in performance. In this paper, we extend TMCL based on the characteristics of other constraint languages in the information system field and related fields. We build and propose an RDBMS-based Topic Map constraint checking system to support the extended constraint language effectively. This new system handles complex types of constraints like dependency constraint as well as basic Topic Map constraints present in the TMCL. As the system examines each constraint it uses templates to generate queries for effective checking and overall shows a higher performance level than current systems.

Mind map is a very useful technique for brainstorming. Therefore, it can be effectively used for collaboration as a creative group conception. However, existing mind map software is not possible to collaborate because it is difficult to share mind map or discuss among members. In this study, we developed a mind map system that can support collaborative work as well as individual authoring and editing. This can incorporate individual mind maps of members into mind map of team, share and discuss them, and modify the mind map. This is convenient because it does not require a separate program installation, and verifies usability to support the process of collaborative process through usability evaluation.
The growing need for the mobility supportable networks induces the IP-based mobility management protocols. Though HMIPv6 which manages the micro-mobility of mobile nodes using MAPs suggests an effective method for mobility-support for mobile nodes within the domain that is managed by MAP. There is a problem that traffic may be concentrated on MAPs. In this paper, therefore, we proposed a method that can effectively distribute the traffic which is concentrated on a MAP under phased Mobile IPv6. In our proposed method, two or more MAPs are required and classified as an 'Active MAP' or a 'Passive MAP'. In addition, we defined the state of transition events between Active MAP and Passive MAP and the operations among MAPs for load distribution when an overload condition is occurred at some MAPs by traffic congestion. We compared the performance of our proposed method with its phased Mobile IPv6 to prove the propriety of our proposed method. As a result, we showed that our proposed method can provide an enhanced performance by about 12 percentages in view of packet throughput at the node.
In the present manuscript, we employ the concepts of Θ-map and Φ-map to define a strong (𝜃, 𝜙)s-contraction of a map f in a b-metric space (M, db). Then we prove and derive many fixed point theorems as well as we provide an example to support our main result. Moreover, we utilize our results to obtain many results in the settings of metric and G-metric spaces. Our results improve and modify many results in the literature.

GIS systems have gradually been utilized in life information as well as special businesses such as traffic, sight-seeing, tracking, and disaster services. Most GIS services focus on showing stored information on maps, not providing a service to register and modify their preferred information. In this paper, we present a new method which reduces DXF map data into Simple Geographic Information File format using format conversion algorithms. We also present the prototype implementation of a GIS search system based on ontologies to support associated information. Our contribution is to propose a new digital map format to provide a fast map loading service and individual customized information on the map service.
This paper describes the design and trial development of a system that supports continuous hazard mapping by local residents in their daily life. We performed an interview survey to design our system in a model traditional town in Saga Prefecture, Japan. The results show that despite continued efforts, many practical problems remain and residents feel unsafe. Considering these results, we designed and developed a unique information and communication technology-based support system that contributes to community-based disaster prevention and reduction. The continuous resident participation and posting design are the core concept for our community-based approach. Our system continues to support making a hazard map by integrating the community-based hazard information. Local residents register information (disaster types, risk level, photographs, comments, positional information) about locations that could be dangerous in a disaster. In addition, our system enables information sharing through a Web server. We expect that this information sharing will allow local hazard information for each district to be used.

HMIPv6 draws lots of attentions in recent years for providing an efficient handover and reducing the signaling overhead. HMIPv6 employs MAP(Mobility Anchor Point) in order to minimize a signaling overhead and a local mobility management. MAP completes an efficient mobility management in HMIPv6 network environment with frequent handover. However, HMIPv6 causes load concentration at a paricular MAP and may have unnecessary latency between HN(Mobile Node) and CN(Correspondent Node) within the same network. A MAP may also disturb the route optimization in HMIPv6 network because all packets must be transmitted through a MAP. In this paper, we propose a scheme to optimize the route in HMIPv6 networks according to MAP load. We configure a threshold in order to support the better service into MAP domain. The packets do not pass through MAP and are directly transmitted to AR(Access Router) if the number of current MNs attached to the MAP exceed the desired threshold. We simulate the performance of the proposed scheme and compare with HMIPv6. Resultly, the proposed scheme reduces signaling costs and mitigates concentration of a paticular MAP as well.
