Climate change is already impacting sustainable water resource management. The influence of climate change on water supply from reservoirs has been generally assessed using climate change scenarios generated based on global climate models. However, inherent uncertainties exist due to the limitations of estimating climate change by assuming IPCC carbon emission scenarios. The decision scaling approach was applied to mitigate these issues in this study focusing on four reservoir watersheds: Chungju, Yongdam, Hapcheon, and Seomjingang reservoirs. The reservoir water supply reliablity was analyzed by combining the rainfall-runoff model (IHACRES) and the reservoir operation model based on HEC-ResSim. Water supply reliability analysis was aimed at ensuring the stable operation of dams, and its results ccould be utilized to develop either structural or non-structural water supply plans. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to assess potential risks that might arise during the operation of reserviors under various climate conditions. Using observed precipitation and temperature from 1995 to 2014, 49 climate stress scenarios were developed (7 precipitation scenarios based on quantiles and 7 temperature scenarios ranging from 0℃ to 6℃ at 1℃ intervals). Our study demonstrated that despite an increase in flood season precipitation leading to an increase in reservoir discharge, it had a greater impact on sustainable water management compared to the increase in non-flood season precipitation. Furthermore, in scenarios combining rainfall and temperature, the reliability of reservoir water supply showed greater variations than the sum of individual reliability changes in rainfall and temperature scenarios. This difference was attributed to the opposing effects of decreased and increased precipitation, each causing limitations in water and energy-limited evapotranspiration. These results were expected to enhance the efficiency of reservoir operation.
This study aimed to predict the effects of water ecology on the supply of hydrothermal energy to model a housing complex in Eco Delta Smart Village in Busan. Based on the results, engineering measures were recommended to minimize problems due to possible temperature variations on the supply of hydrothermal energy from the river. The current distribution of fish, benthic macroinvertebrates, and phytoplankton in the Pyeonggang Stream was monitored to determine their effects on water ecology. In the research area, five species and three families of fish were observed. The dominant species was Lepomis macrochirus, and the subdominant species was Carassius auratus. Twenty-five species and 21 families of benthic macroinvertebrates were found. The distribution of aquatic insects was poor in this area. The dominant species were Chironomidae sp., Lymnaea auricularia, Appasus japonicus, and Caridina denticulata denticulata in February, May, July, and October. Dominant phytoplankton were Aulacoseira ambigua and Nitzschia palea in February and May. Microcystis sp. was dominant in July and October. The health of the ecology the Pyeonggang Stream was assessed as D (bad) according to the benthic macroinvertebrate index (BMI). Shifts in the location of the discharge point 150 m downstream from intake points and discharge through embedded rock layer after adding equal amounts of stream water as was taken at the beginning were suggested to minimize water temperature variations due to the application of hydrothermal energy. When the scenario (i.e., quantity of water intake and dilution water, 1,600 m3/d and water temp. difference ±5 ℃) was realized, variations in water temperature were assessed at -0.19 ℃ and 0.59 ℃ during cooling and heating, respectively, at a point 10 m downstream. Water temperatures recorded at -0.20 ℃ and 0.68 ℃ during cooling and heating, respectively, at a point 10 m upstream. All stream water temperatures after the application of hydrothermal energy recovered within 24 hours. Future work on the long-term monitoring of ecosystems is suggested, particularly to analyze the influence of the water environment on hydrothermal energy supply operations.

The operational conditions such as cooling tower water pump flow rate, cooling tower fan flow rate, and chiller capacity in heat source equipment, and supply air temperature and chilled water temperature in air conditioner are considered to study the effects on energy consumption for central cooling system by using TRNSYS program. As a result, the optimal values of supply air temperature and chilled water temperature for minimal total energy consumption are 12℃ and 8℃. And if maximum values of cooling tower water pump and fan flow rate is decreased from 100% to 40%, energy consumptions are increased 170MJ/day and 63.2MJ/day, respectively.

This study reports the results of the transient temperature response of a floor heating panel according to variation of the hot water supply temperature and the pipe embedding depth. Also, this experiment compares the temperature responses of floor heating panels under the continuous and intermittent heating system. Furtthermore, this study presents some details of the thermal response of Ondol-heated buildings to varying loads and patterns of heat input. The analysis of the thermal performance fo Ondol heating system have been presented.
This study was carried out to investigate Water Temperature, Residual Chlorine, Coliform Groups, and the Standard Plate Counts of Water Supply Areas provided by 7 Water Purification Plant (W.P.P) in Seoul from September 20, 1979 through October 20, 1979. The results were summarized below: 1) The mean water temperature of the 63 Water Samples was 19.8$\circ$C, the mean pH 7.18, and the mean residual chlorine concentration 0.52 ppm by each Water Supply Areas. There is no statistically significant differences between the WPP Areas, but there is significant differences between water supply areas. 2) 30(47.6%) out of the 63 Water Samples were Standard Plate Counts free and 33 Samples (52.4%) were contaminated by Standard Plate Counts. 30 (47.6%) out of 33 samples showed the existence of Standard Plate Counts less than 15 and the other 3 samples 15-30. 3) 2 (3.2%) out of the 63 Samples had the coliform. Those 2 Samples had 2 and 6 coliform group counts per 50ml respectively both of them were 0.1ppm in residual chlorine. 4) There is correlation among Water Temperature, pH, Residual Chlorine, Standard Plate Counts, and Coliform Groups. The Coefficient of Correlation(r) between Water Temperature & Residual Chlorine was 0.147, 0.240 between Water Temperature & Standard plate Counts and 0.215 between pH & Standard Plate Counts. These correlations are statistically no significant, But the correlation of coefficient between pH & Residual Chlorine was -0.291 which is showed significant correlation at p<0.05. The coefficient of correlation between Residual Chlorine & Standard Plate Counts was -0.441 which is showed Negative Correlation Statistically Significant difference at p<0.01.
Recently according to the fashion of well-being, the case study of under floor heating system type for residential space is increasing. Specially double slab floor system can make several roles as reducing the acoustic noises and also supplying fresh air through the gap. So in present study floor heating performance was examined with various location of the space in the case of floor supply air and ceiling supply air. In both cases return air went out through ceiling opening. As one of the result is that when using the heat pipe type floor heating system the temperature difference between supply and return water was $15.2^{\circ}C$, but in case of commercial type floor heating system the temperature difference was $5.3^{\circ}C$ when the supply water temperature was $50^{\circ}C$.

In this study, the actual energy consumption of the secondary side of District Heating System (DHS) with different hot water supply temperature control methods are compared. Three methods are Set-point Control, Outdoor Temperature Reset Control and Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control. While Outdoor Temperature Reset Control has been widely used for energy savings of the secondary side of the system, the results show that Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control method saves more energy. In general, Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control method lowers the supply temperature of hot water, and it reduces standby losses and increases overall heat transfer value of heated spaces due to more flow into the space. During actual energy consumption monitoring, Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control method saves about 7.1% in comparison to Outdoor Temperature Reset Control method and about 15.7% in comparison to Set-point Control method. Also, it is found that at when partial load condition, such as daytime, the fluctuation of hot water supply temperature with Set-point Control is more severe than Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control. Therefore, it proves that Outdoor Temperature Prediction Control is more stable even at the partial load conditions.
In this study, a simulation program was developed with heat transfer model in the thermal storage tank for a solar collector and burner combined heating and hot water supply system. Analysis was conducted with variation of operating condition and schedule to analyze performance of a hot water supply and panel heating system with a solar collector and burner combined thermal storage tank. The simulation program is divided two sections. One part is calculation of temperature variation of water which flows through the panel in the floor for heating of the residential house during 24 hours, and the other part is heat transfer calculation for the reaction time to get desired water temperature in the thermal storage tank. As results, light oil consumption and system performance during operation period were analyzed with variation of climate condition and with or without solar collector. Most of the case, oil could be saved about from 24 to 41% with installing the solar collector. The performance of the system is more dependent on radiation time of the solar collector rather than the intensity of the solar radiation which was adopted for the climate analysis.

This study is focused on the evaluation of thermal output of TABS (Thermally Activated Building System). The aim of this study is to evaluate TABS in terms of the temperature difference between heating medium supply temperature ($T_s$) and return temperature ($T_r$), thermal output and the surface temperature distribution according to the design flow rate and the design flow temperature. Through the transient heat transfer simulation using temperature calculation using Crank-Nicolson FDM using Physibel Voltra 6.0 W, the temperature difference between $T_s$ and $T_r$, thermal output and the surface temperature distribution of specific TABS was calculated and evaluated. The results show that specific thermal output and temperature difference at $60^{\circ}C$ of supply water temperature were about 162 $W/m^2$, $13.6^{\circ}C$ respectively.
Recently, Stirling engines are emerging as a key device for power conversion of renewable energy or waste energy. This study develops a LTDSE(Low Temperature Differential Stirling Engine) using a water spray for higher heat transfer and performs load performance tests for various flow rates and temperatures of hot water spray for variable engine loads emulated by a mechanical friction device. Internal temperature and pressure, working frequency and inlet and outlet temperature of the supply water are measured. As a result, the increases in flow rate and temperature of hot water respectively enhance the power output, efficiency and the working frequency, while the increasing engine load leads to decreases in working frequency but increases in the pressure amplitude. Eventually, it is revealed there exists a maximum shaft power of the test engine.
