평형부 내에서 회전 운동을 하는 스핀들의 운동 구속에 대한 연구 (A Study on Motion Constraint of Rotating Spindle in the Parallel Part at the Blocking Plate)

  • The function of main starting valve for marine engine is to supply cylinder with the air to start marine engine. But, if the spindle, one of the main starting valve components, doesn't rotate accurately at the designated air pressure, the marine engine may have some trouble in starting. So, to resolve the problem due to spindle .elation in the main starting valve, the blocking device (blocking plate, limit switch, etc.) is installed in the upper part of spindle to constrain the rotation. So, in this paper we introduced the rotation constraining ability of blocking plate prevent the spindle from mis-working in the main starting value of the marine engine.

버클링 마이크로 적층형 압전밸브의 제작 (Fabrication of a buckling micro MCA valve)

  • This paper describes the design, fabrication and characteristics of a buckling microvalve using a MCA (multilayer ceramic actuator). The mechanical and fluidic analysis are done by finite element method. The designed structure is normally closed microvalve using buckling effect, which is consist of three separate structures; a valve seat die, an actuator die and a small piezoelectric actuator. The flow rate of the fabricated MCA valve was 0-8.13 ml/min at the applied pressure of 0-50 kPa. Maximum non-linearity was 2.24 % FS at a duty cycle of 50 %. The maximum pressure was 230 kPa and the leak rate was $3.03{\times}10^{-8}\;Pa{\cdot}m^{3}/cm^{2}$ at a supply voltage of 100 V.

래크바형 수문권양기에 적용된 정유압장치의 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의한 작동특성 연구 (Computer Simulation Study of the Hydrostatic Transmission Applied to the Rack-Bar Type Sluice Gate)

  • The typical hydraulic hoisting system of the rack-bar type sluice gate is composed of a hydraulic supply unit using an uni-directional pump, a direction control valve, a hydraulic motor, a counter balance valve, and flow control valves. Here, the hydrostatic transmission is applied to the hoisting system of rack-bar type sluice gate to simplify the operation of gate such that the upward and downward direction of gate is simply controlled by the direction of pump rotation. The new hydraulic hoisting system is composed of a bi-directional pump, a hydraulic motor, two counter balance valves, two check valves, two pilot-operated check valves, two relief valves and a shuttle valve. The characteristics of a suggested system are analyzed by computer simulations.

자동변속기 클러치 시스템의 동특성 해석 (Dynamic Characteristics of Clutch System for an Automatic Transmission)

  • In this paper, dynamic characteristics of an AT clutch system were investigated considering the dynamics of check ball and hydraulic control valves. Dynamic model of a pressure control solenoid valve (PCSV) was obtained by Bondgraph and permeance method. Also, the clutch piston and check ball dynamics were modeled by considering the effect of centrifugal force of the oil entrapped in the clutch chamber. In order to validate the dynamic models obtained, plunger displacement of PCSV and pressure response of the clutch supply lines were compared with the available experimental data, which were in good accordance with the numerical results. Using the dynamic model of the clutch system, simulations were performed to investigate the effect of the rotational speed on the response of clutch cylinder pressure, clutch piston and check ball displacement, and oil flow rate into the cylinder and flow rate out of the check valve.

워터 햄머 흡수기의 압력흡수 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study of Surge Pressure Absorption by Water Hammer Arrester in Water Supply Piping System)

  • This study is to investigate the pressure wave characteristics and the absorption of maximum and minimum pressure generated by instantaneous valve closure at the end of the straightening copper piping system with and without a water hammer arrester. Experiments were conducted under the following conditions : initial pressure 1~5 bar, flow velocity 0.6~3.0 m/s, water temperature $20^{\circ}C$ and air volume of water hammer arrester $80~180^cm^3$. Experimental results show that the optimum air volume of water hammer arrester is 110㎤.

PWM 제어에 의한 솔레노이드-유량제어방식 ABS의 제동압력 특성 (Braking Pressure Characteristics of Solenoid-Flow Control Type ABS by PWM Control)

  • Solenoid-folw control type ABS is used with a 'dump and reapply' pressure control arrangement instead of using 2/2 (normal open/close) solenoid valves in convensional systems(sol. -sol. control type), a flow control valve is used which replaces the (no) inlet valve. The flow control valve controls fluid flow providing a nearly constant reapply rate( .theta. ) after the dump plase of ABS operation. In this study, to investigate a characteristics of brake pressure by PWM control, test rig was consisted of ABS hydraulic modulator, digital controller, pneumatic power supply and brake master cylinder. For comparison with experi- mental results, system modelling and computer simulation were performed. As a result, experiment results showed fairly agreement with the simulation. Also, it is shown that the pressure gradient (tan .theta. ) is affected by pressure, frequency, duty ratio and expressed with an exponential funtion.

주기적 연료 공급이 비애혼합 화염 특성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effects of Periodic Fuel Supply on the Flame Stability and Soot Formation)

  • The effects of periodic fuel supply on the nonpremixed flame stability and soot formation were experimentally studied. A solenoid valve was used to control the period of fuel supply. The laser induced incandescence technique was used to visualize cool: volume fraction profile. The flame base shape was changed significantly by the fuel supply period and partially by the fuel flowrates. The portion of bluish flame near the flame base became larger as the period increased. When the period was long, two flames coexisted within one period. It seemed that the characteristic of flame stability were repeated with 4.68m change of fuel supply line length. The soot mass measurements and soot volume fraction measurements revealed that the maximum suppression of soot by the perioic fuel supply was approximately 75% , which occurred when the occurred when the fuel supply period was relatively long.

  • By way of driving a 2-way on/off solenoid hydraulic valve with a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal, control of the pressure in a certain volume is frequently used in various applications. However, the pressure built-up according to the duty ratio and carrier frequency of the PWM signal is not so well understood. In order to clarify the characteristics of 2-way valve hydraulic pressure control systems, in this paper two formula fur the mean and ripple of the load pressure were derived through theoretical analysis. And the accuracy of the derived formula were verified by comparison with the experimental test result. Generally 2-way valve systems are constructed as a bleed-off circuit, while 3-way valves are used as a control element in a meter-in circuit pressure control system. In a bleed-off circuit, the system supply pressure from a hydraulic power pack does not remain constant, but changes according to their external load. In turn, the relief valve in the hydraulic power pack reacts accordingly showing complicated dynamic behavior, which makes an analytical study difficult. In order to resolve the problem, simple but accurate empirical dynamic models fer a bleed-off system were used in the course of formula derivation. As the result, selection criteria for two major control parameters of the driving signal is established and the basic strategy to suppress the unnecessary pressure fluctuation can be provided for a hydraulic pressure control system using a 2-way on/off solenoid valve.

구조연성해석을 통한 메인스타팅 에어밸브의 경량화설계 (Lightweight Design of a Main Starting Air Valve through FSI Analysis)

  • 메인스타팅 에어밸브는 선박에서 최초 시동을 위해 장착되는 요소로서 운전 시에는 공기를 차단하는 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 기 개발된 50A 메인스타팅 에어밸브의 형상을 기초로 80A 메인스타팅 에어밸브의 기초설계를 제시하였고, 80A 메인스타팅 에어밸브의 개념설계는 CATIA를 이용하여 완성되었다. 그리고 압력분포 및 속도분포등의 유동특성을 검토하기 위해서 유동해석을 수행하였고, 이어서 FSI를 이용한 구조해석을 수행하였다. 이상의 수치해석을 위하여 ANSYS 및 ANSYS CFX 프로그램을 이용하였다. 밸브 몸체의 과도한 중량은 인접 구조요소의 강도를 저해시킬 수 있고 유동특성에도 좋지 못한 영향을 줄 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 80A 밸브의 경량화 설계를 강도성능의 요구조건을 고려하여 제시하였다. 최종 제시한 밸브는 7kg의 경량화를 이루었고 최대응력도 설계기준을 만족시켰다.

급수관로계에 설치된 수격흡수기의 수격흡수효과에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Water Hammer Absorption Effects of Water Hammer Arrester in the Water Supply Piping System)

  • In this study, dynamic characteristics of water hammer pressure in water supply piping system with water hammer arrester has been investigated experimentally to characterize the transient pressure of water hammer in high rise building. Experiments were conducted to verify the absorption effects by water hammer arresters with 3 different gas volumes of water hammer pressure generated by sudden valve closure. As the results, it has been found that zoning and sizing of pipe diameter for suitable flow velocity and water hammer arresters with effective pressure absorption capacity have to be installed to protect water hammer problems in building water supply piping system.
