  • In this paper, we present a framework for modeling and control of multiple mobile robots which cowork within a bounded workspace and limited resources. To achieve this goal, we adopt a formalism of discrete event system and supervisory control theory based on Petri nets. We can divide our whole story into two parts: first, we search the shortest path using the distance vector algorithm, and then we construct the control scheme from which a number of mobile robots can work within a bounded workspace without any collision. The use of Petri net modeling allows us In synthesize a controller which achieves a control specification for the desired closed-loop behavior efficiently. Finally, the usefulness of the proposed Petri net formalism is illustrated by a simulation study.

  • In realistic control systems, the nonlinear salutation attributes of the control actuator due to physical limitations should be taken into account. This nonlinear saturation of actuators may cause not only deterioration of the control performance but also a large overshoot during start-up and shut-down. As the overshoot increases, the system may become oscillatory unstable. In this paper, the supervisor implementation which guarantees good performance lot saturation operation and prevents reset wind-up is presented. Moreover, the sufficient conditions of the stability for saturated systems using supervisory control with a dynamic controller are provided in the discrete-time domain. A numerical example is illustrated to depict the efficiency of supervisory control for a typical saturated production-distribution system controlled by a discrete-time dynamic controller and to validate basic results by simulation.

  • In this paper, it is proposed the the SCADA(Supervisory control and Data Acquisition) system in Apartment complex. The proposed SCADA system make use of the computer CRT(Cathod RAy Tube), which automatically observe the Electrical Facility, Elvator Facility, Fire Alarm Facility and process in the real-time data. In order to improve the hardware performance and the information process, the SCADA system composed of master-slave topology and decentralized the supervisory Facility. This system is expected the retrenchment of construction expenditure and the level-up of supervisory execution.

  • 본 논문에서는 도로 교통 정보설비의 유지관리를 위해 지능형으로 수행하는 원격감시제어 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 시스템은 국도 3호선에 설치되는 도로교통 설비에 대하여 유지관리를 수행하도록 시스템적으로 구축되어 있으며, 전송된 고장 정보는 중앙감시센터의 고장 정보 분석 알고리즘에 의해서 정보의 특성을 파악하도록 하였다. 분석 알고리즘은 신경회로망을 이용하여 다중으로 발생하는 고장정보에 대해서 지식 기반의 고장현상을 추론하도록 제안하였다. 고장 정보 분석 알고리즘의 유용성을 확인하기 위해 현장으로 실시간으로 전송되는 바이너리 신호의 패턴을 5가지 형태로 분류하여 성능을 분석하였으며, 이를 중앙감시센터에서의 유지관리용 운영환경 하에서 구현되도록 하였다.

  • This paper presents a design procedure for the supervisory controller(SC) of the high-speed train car. The proposed SC manages control logic and scenario of the overall train system, and monitors input/output signals among the sub-controllers in the system, The roles and functions of each sub-control system are defined, and the interfaces among the control systems are developed. Train control system is modeled with automata, and the model is implemented into a program using a computer-aided software engineering(CASE) tool, Object GEODE, The designed SC is verified and evaluated by using simulation. The SC is shown to successfully perform the designed functions without any errors.

퍼지관리제어기법을 이용한 스마트 면진 벤치마크 건물의 제어 (Control of Smart Base-isolated Benchmark Building using Fuzzy Supervisory Control)

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트 면진장치를 효과적으로 제어하기 위하여 퍼지관리제어기를 개발하였고 그 효율성을 검토하였다. 이를 위하여 1세대 스마트 면진 벤치마크 건물을 이용하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 대상 벤치마크 구조물은 부정형의 평면을 가지고 있는 8층 건물이고 탄성베어링과 MR 감쇠기로 이루어진 스마트 면진장치가 설치되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 다목적 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 원거리 지진과 근거리 지진에 대하여 각각 면진구조물을 효과적으로 제어할 수 있는 하위 퍼지제어기를 개발한다. 최적화과정에서는 구조물의 최대 및 RMS 가속도와 면진층 변위의 저감이 목적으로 사용된다. 벤지마크 건물에 지진하중이 가해지면 두 개의 하위 퍼지제어기에서는 각각 다른 명령전압이 제공되는데 이 명령전압들은 퍼지관리제어기의 추론과정에 기반하여 실시간으로 참여율이 조절되어 하나의 명령전압으로 조합된다. 수치해석을 통하여 제안된 퍼지관리제어기법을 사용함으로써 상부구조물의 응답과 면진층의 변위를 효과적으로 줄일 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.

  • This paper proposes a scheme for distributed load balancing in mobile communication networks based on supervisory control framework. Using load information exchanged with neighboring cells, the "supervisors" that reside in the base stations distribute load among cells by controlling handover parameters in a distributed manner. The supervisors are designed so that the load difference among neighboring cells are kept under a pre-defined value. Results from systematic analysis and simulation indicate that our scheme effectively balances traffic load among cells and reduces call blocking rate of the overloaded cells.

  • The manufacturing equipment on most shop floors consists of numerical control machines, and the condition of each piece of equipment is monitored and controlled by an internal sensor or programmable logic controller (PLC). To control and monitor production lines that consist of an equipment or production module, a separate control and monitoring system such as a manufacturing execution system should be introduced. However, there is no standardized system, and it is costly and difficult to build a system for small or medium-sized plants. In this paper, a PLC-based supervisory system for operation control of a group of production machines is proposed, and the developed PLC-based system is evaluated by applying it to a computer numerical control machine.

  • A supervisory controller design technique for multiple-AGV systems is presented in this paper. The guidepath is represented in the form of a network, and its modifications are easily tested. The network has two-layered structure, where the path sets between each two nodes are made in advance using the K-shortest path algorithm. Occupation times for all links are stored in link-occupation table, and are updated after the dispatching time. Dispatching and scheduling for each AGV are optimized in terms of minimum-time objectives. In all times, the paths are guaranteed to be conflict-free and deadlock-free. The simplicity and flexibility on this control scheme make the supervisory suitable for real applications.

  • We proposed in this paper a systematic way for analyzing discrete event dynamic systems to classify faults and failures quantitatively and to find tolerable fault event sequences embedded in the system. An automated failure diagnosis scheme with respect to the nominal normal operating event sequences and the supervisory control problem for tolerable fault event sequences is presented. Moreover the supervisor failure diagnosis problem with respect to the tolerable fault event sequences is considered. Finally, a plasma etching system example is presented.
