  • In this paper, we propose HMCNN(hybrid multiple component neural networks) that enhance performance of MCNN by adapting new pattern partitioning algorithm which can cluster many input patterns efficiently. Added neural network performs similar learning procedure that of kohonen network. But it dynamically determine it's number of output neurons using algorithms that decide self-organized number of clusters and patterns in a cluster. The proposed network can effectively be applied to problems of large data as well as huge networks size. As a sresutl, proposed pattern partitioning network can enhance performance results and solve weakness of MCNN like generalization capability. In addition, we can get more fast speed by performing parallel learning than that of other supervised learning networks.

  • Concept is the set of selected neurons in a stable state of a neurel network. The Recognitron uses a parallel feedback structure to support concept learning. A number of clusters can exist in response to a given input, each of which make up a selective neuron. There are supervised and unsupervised learnig methods in concept teaming. In this paper, we have chosen unsupervised learning. Also, a new concept called relaxational learning has been introduced to stop runaway weights

  • This paper presents a new approach to the design speed and azimuth control of a mobile robot with drive wheel. The proposed control scheme uses a Gaussian function as a unit function in the fuzzy-neural network, and back propagation algorithm to train the fuzzy-neural network controller in the frmework of the specialized learning architecture. It is proposed a learning controller consisting of two neural network-fuzzy based on independent reasoning and a connection net with fixed weights to simple the neural networks-fuzzy. The performance of the proposed controller is shown by performing the computer simulation for trajectory tracking of the speed and azimuth of a mobile robot driven by two independent wheels.

  • In this paper, we deal with the separation of data by concurrently determined, piecewise nonlinear discriminant functions. Toward the end, we develop a new $l_1$-distance norm error metric and cast the problem as a mixed 0-1 integer and linear programming (MILP) model. Given a finite number of discriminant functions as an input, the proposed model considers the synergy as well as the individual role of the functions involved and implements a simplest nonlinear decision surface that best separates the data on hand. Hence, exploiting powerful MILP solvers, the model efficiently analyzes any given data set for its piecewise nonlinear separability. The classification of four sets of artificial data demonstrates the aforementioned strength of the proposed model. Classification results on five machine learning benchmark databases prove that the data separation via the proposed MILP model is an effective supervised learning methodology that compares quite favorably to well-established learning methodologies.

  • In this paper, we present a new method for classifying object using LVQ (Learning Vector Quantization) with flexible output layer. The proposed LVQ is a supervised learning method that dynamically generates output neurons and initializes automatically the weight vectors from training patterns. If the classes of the nearest output neuron is different from the class of the training pattern, a new output neuron is created and the given training pattern is used to initialize the weight vector of the created neuron. The proposed method is significantly different from the previous competitive learning algorithms in the point that the output neurons are dynamically generated during the learning process.

  • This paper presents a new benchmark system for visual odometry (VO) and monocular depth estimation (MDE). As deep learning has become a key technology in computer vision, many researchers are trying to apply deep learning to VO and MDE. Just a couple of years ago, they were independently studied in a supervised way, but now they are coupled and trained together in an unsupervised way. However, before designing fancy models and losses, we have to customize datasets to use them for training and testing. After training, the model has to be compared with the existing models, which is also a huge burden. The benchmark provides input dataset ready-to-use for VO and MDE research in 'tfrecords' format and output dataset that includes model checkpoints and inference results of the existing models. It also provides various tools for data formatting, training, and evaluation. In the experiments, the exsiting models were evaluated to verify their performances presented in the corresponding papers and we found that the evaluation result is inferior to the presented performances.

  • In this paper, a GAN-based data augmentation method is proposed for topology optimization. In machine learning techniques, a total amount of dataset determines the accuracy and robustness of the trained neural network architectures, especially, supervised learning networks. Because the insufficient data tends to lead to overfitting or underfitting of the architectures, a data augmentation method is need to increase the amount of data for reducing overfitting when training a machine learning model. In this study, the Ganerative Adversarial Network (GAN) is used to augment the topology optimization dataset. The produced dataset has been compared with the original dataset.

  • Currently, diabetes is the most common chronic disease in the world, affecting 23.7% of the population in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Diabetes may be the cause of lower-limb amputations, kidney failure and blindness among adults. Therefore, diagnosing the disease in its early stages is essential in order to save human lives. With the revolution in technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) could play a central role in the early prediction of diabetes by employing Machine Learning (ML) technology. In this paper, we developed a diagnosis system using machine learning models for the detection of type 2 diabetes among adults, through the adoption of two different diabetes datasets: one for training and the other for the testing, to analyze and enhance the prediction accuracy. This work offers an enhanced classification accuracy as a result of employing several pre-processing methods before applying the ML models. According to the obtained results, the implemented Random Forest (RF) classifier offers the best classification accuracy with a classification score of 98.95%.

  • Due to Thailand's nuclear energy public acceptance problem, the understanding of nuclear energy public perception was the key factor affecting to re-consideration of the nuclear energy program. Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology and its alliances together developed the classification model for the nuclear energy public perception from the big data comments on social media using Facebook using deep transfer learning. The objective was to insight into the Thailand nuclear energy public perception on Facebook social media platform using sentiment analysis. The supervised learning was used to generate up-to-date classification model with more than 80% accuracy to classify the public perception on nuclear power plant news on Facebook from 2009 to 2022. The majority of neutral sentiments (80%) represented the opportunity for Thailand to convince people to receive a better nuclear perception. Negative sentiments (14%) showed support for other alternative energies due to nuclear accident concerns while positive sentiments (6%) expressed support for innovative nuclear technologies.
