The purpose of present study was to analyze a tendency in childcare studies published in Korea. Specifically, this study investigated the amount of childcare studies and analyzed the main topic of childcare studies. Total 1,406 studies which include the term 'bo-yook' and/or 'tak-ah' as their keywords were gathered from internet database, and finally 973 studies were analyzed. First, the results from this study showed that childcare studies had gradually increased since 1990 and approximately one hundred studies had been published per year after 2004. The growing tendency of childcare studies might reflect social and political concern about childcare in contemporary Korean society. Second, childcare studies were mainly conducted within the topic of childcare policy, childcare worker, actual condition in childcare service, and childcare quality. Lastly, special types of childcare such as infant childcare, handicapped childcare, extended-time childcare, and after-school childcare were rarely studied. From these results, several future direction for childcare studies were suggested.
The purpose of the study was to investigate the reality of middle school mathematics teachers' subject matter knowledge for teaching mathematical conjecture and justification. Data in the study were collected through interviewing nine Chinese and ten Korean middle school mathematics teachers. The teachers responded to the question that was designed in the form of a scenario that presents a teaching task related to a geometrical topic. The teachers' oral responses were audiotaped and transcribed, and their written notes were collected. The results of the study were compared to the analysis of American and Chinese elementary and secondary teachers' responses to the same task in Ball (1988) and Ma (1999). The findings of the study suggested that teachers' approaches to explaining and demonstrating a mathematical topic were significantly influenced by their knowledge of learners and knowledge of the curriculum they teach. One of the practical implications of the study is that teachers should recognize the advantages of learning the conceptual structure of a mathematical topic. It allows the teachers to have the flexibility to come up with meaningful mathematical approaches to teaching the topic, which are comprehensible to the learners whatever the grade levels they teach, rather than rule-based algorithms.

This study aimed to analyze the needs and interests of the public on endangered wildlife using complaint big data. We collected 1,203 complaints and their corresponding text data on endangered wildlife, pre-processed them, and constructed a document-term matrix for 1,739 text data. We performed LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation) topic modeling and network analysis. The results revealed that the complaints on endangered wildlife peaked in June-August, and the interest shifted from insects to various endangered wildlife in the living area, such as mammals, birds, and amphibians. In addition, the complaints on endangered wildlife could be categorized into 8 topics and 5 clusters, such as discovery report, habitat protection and response request, information inquiry, investigation and action request, and consultation request. The co-occurrence network analysis for each topic showed that the keywords reflecting the call center reporting procedure, such as photo, send, and take, had high centrality in common, and other keywords such as dung beetle, know, absence and think played an important role in the network. Through this analysis, we identified the main keywords and their relationships within each topic and derived the main issues for each topic. This study confirmed the increasing and diversifying public interest and complaints on endangered wildlife and highlighted the need for professional response. We also suggested developing and extending participatory conservation plans that align with the public's preferences and demands. This study demonstrated the feasibility of using complaint big data on endangered wildlife and its implications for policy decision-making and public promotion on endangered wildlife.

As the result, the students wore 1~2 pieces of school uniform, which showed that it was hard to keep them clean by washing them often. The satisfaction level of school uniform was not high, The lowest item was the price. Therefore, to increase the satisfaction level of the school uniforms and also to increase the sanitary level of the school uniforms, it was advisable to purchase a recycled school uniform at cheaper prices to have an extra set. For a vitalization of the recycled school uniforms, the middle school technology/home economy subjects were reviewed. In the topic of "clothing acquisition plan and purchase", the themes of planned purchase, overconsumption of clothing and environmental pollution were discussed and included preferable behaviors for disposal. The topic of "clothing manufacturing and recycling" listed recycling the clothes that are not worn or exchanging them with neighbors as well as suggesting methods to illicit environment-friendly behaviors and carrying them out. However, some textbooks only briefly explained the methods of recycling and more detailed and practical methods need to be suggested in the curriculum. In addition, the contents regarding the environment in the clothing topic need to be supplemented more and more changes, such as related education plans or data development, are required. As the use of SNS continues to increase, various related studies have been conducted. According to the effectiveness of the topic model for existing theme extraction, a huge number of related research studies on topic model based analysis have been introduced. In this research, we suggested an automation system to analyze topics of each country and its distribution in twitter by combining world map visualization and issue matching method. The core system components are the following three modules; 1) collection of tweets and classification by nation, 2) extraction of topics and distribution by country based on topic model algorithm, and 3) visualization of topics and distribution based on Google geochart. In experiments with USA and UK, we could find issues of the two nations and how they changed. Based on these results, we could analyze the differences of each nation's position on ISIS problem.

Artificial intelligence (AI) describes a variety of approaches in computer applications to mimic human learning. As this technology becomes increasingly prevalent, it is inevitable that it will enter the educational environment, as both an educational tool and topic of learning. STEM education, which deals with science, technology, engineering, and math, is perhaps the most appropriate educational field in which to introduce students to this new and rapidly growing technology. In recent years, educators, AI engineers, and educational researchers have published trial results of experimental curricula implementing AI technology in student and teacher education. This systematic literature review analyzed a sample of seven such publications to identify key trends in suggested best practices for the usage of AI in STEM classrooms. The sample was analyzed for keywords using MaxQDA. The results indicated three key trends among suggested best practices. The first was that AI is best taught to students when the technology itself is the topic of education. Another trend was that simulating real world applications of AI technology was most impactful in showing students the potential, limits, and ethical implications of AI. Finally, it was found that educator's familiarity with AI is an important factor in their ability to employ it in the classroom.
The purpose of this study was to examine the elementary pre-service teachers' interest in biological topics and activities. The instrument to survey the interest of them consists of 8 domains containing 27 topic items and 7 domains containing 12 activity items(three-point from 0 to 2 Likert scale). Data were collected from 108 pre-service teachers. The interest level in the topics was high, but the interest level in the activities was average. There was not different between interest levels of females and males in both topic and activity components (p > .05). Among the topics, the 'genetics' domain correlated strongly with the domains of 'nutrition and digestion', 'circulation', 'respiration' and 'nervous system', and the 'respiration' domain correlated with the 'circulation' domain(r >.450, p<.01). The correlation between the domains of 'out-of class experience activity' and 'visual information activity', and 'experimental performance following procedure' and 'discussing and debating'(r >.450, p<.01). This results suggested that the educational contents including learning materials and experiential activities be developed to activate the interest of elementary pre-service teachers in biology.
This study seeks to add to the current understanding of learners' use of modality in argumentative writing. A learner corpus of argumentative essays on four topics was created and compared to native English speaker data from the International Corpus Network of Asian Learners of English (ICNALE). The relationship between learners' use of modal devices (MDs) and the devices' appearance in the school's curriculum was also examined. The results showed that learners relied on a very narrow range of MDs compared to those in previous studies. The frequency of use of MDs varied based on the topic and did not seem to be driven by cultural factors as has been previously suggested. Learners used more hedges than boosters on all topics, contradicting most previous studies. Curriculum was determined to have a direct correlation with MD use, and other important factors may include perception of topic and overreliance on certain MDs over others (the One-to-One principal). This research implies that learners' perception of topic should be explored further as a variable affecting MD use. Curricula should be designed based on frequency of MD use by English native speakers, and learners should receive instruction that teaches the norms of MD use in academic writing. The methodology used in the study to determine correlations between MD use and the curriculum has a wide range of potential applications in the field of Contrastive Interlanguage Analysis.
We analyze the nonlinearity of chiral media and coupled-mode theory of chiral multilayers. In first topic, second order nonlinear coupled equations are constructed and a phase matchine method is suggested. This approach can be developed to higher order nonlinearity and electric-field-induced second harmonic generation. In second topic, coupled mode equation in chiral multilayers is constructed, and solved for both codirectional coupling and contradirectional coupling. There is a previous formulation about chiral mutilayers[1] with 4$\times$4 matrix but it did not give detail results, so this approach will be compared with that.
The main purpose of this study was to detect and classify public perceptions toward smog disasters on Twitter using topic modeling. To help achieve these objectives and to identify gaps in the literature, this research carried out a literature review on public opinions toward smog disasters and topic modeling. The literature review indicated that there are huge gaps in the related literature. In this research, this author formed five research questions to fill the gaps in the literature. And then this study performed research steps such as data extraction, word cloud analysis on the cleaned data, building the network of terms, correlation analysis, hierarchical cluster analysis, topic modeling with the LDA, and stream graphs to answer those research questions. The results of this research revealed that there exist huge differences in the most frequent terms, the shapes of terms network, types of correlation, and smog-related topics changing patterns between New York and London. Therefore, this author could find positive answers to the four of the five research questions and a partially positive answer to Research question 4. Finally, on the basis of the results, this author suggested policy implications and recommendations for future study.
