Background/Objectives: The purpose of the study is to derive a goal usable in the field by exploring the case management success experiences of case managers. Civil case managers state that what is still important in case management practice is qualitative change made in the practice process. Therefore, the study will deal with detailed contents about case management that civil domain case managers consider to be important. Methods/Statistical analysis: For data collection, the study used focus group interview on 20 professional case management social workers and used Grounded theory method by Glaser for data analysis. The analysis of collected data consisted of a process of finding the categories and characteristics of the research problem. Findings: As a result of analysis, 4 categories, 10 subcategories, and 25 elements were derived for success experiences of case management practice. The categories were divided into satisfaction and ability improvement of client, case manager ability improvement, establishment of organization and environment function, and multilateral trust relationship strengthening. Improvements/Applications: The results of this study further clarified the goal of field case management practice and it was suggested as a plan to reflect on future case management related institutions evaluation.

Purpose - This study is to propose a creative idea for constant business growth and development by examining characteristics of business outcomes by phase, which are "growth" and "erosion and stagnation," respectively. Research design, data, methodology - It is necessary to identify an occurrence of crisis and its diffusion with a dynamic model in order to identify a success and failure of businesses in an organic way, not on a binary structure. The static perspective is to understand a crisis as a simply one-time event or as a linear causation. Thus, it has a limited understanding of the overall situation and has limits to investigating a foundational cause and developing long-term countermeasures. On the contrary, the dynamic perspective is to understand the crisis as circulation process of the overall system. Thus, it divides elements of the crisis as external and internal ones to understand it as the causal relationship of each element. Results - During the growth period of Burger King, the company promoted its brand very successfully with aggressive and creative marketing activities. However, due to the founder's disposal of management rights and the following changes in the management, the company had no choice but to lose focus on its business philosophy and brand management, and eventually it had to face the big crisis (resonance) which was delisting from the stock market because of the external threat; well-being trend. However, Burger King resumed lifting on the stock exchange by making great efforts to clearly identify the current issues and seek solutions. Under the spirit of "perseverance" and its slogan "Have it your way" the company is now going head to head with McDonald's in the North American region and emerging countries. Conclusions - Then, what is the most crucial factor in the success and failure of businesses? Answers may vary, however, as learned from the case study of Burger King, corporations should inspect the present and focus on developing a long-term strategy for the future and actively fulfill the actions. McDonald's may not be able to innovate by itself in the future as it may become routinized to the growth. There will be chances of winning if we change conditions of individuals or organizations to an organic system in terms of being creative. There is a hopeful message here that an individual or small business may have more advantages in the era of the idea and innovation.

Since its defeat in the Second World War, Japan has been fostering good ties with Western countries, especially the United States. However, some East Asian leaders emboldened by their countries' economic success have proclaimed that the future belongs to Asia and have put forward the "Asian values" argument. It is interesting to note that some elements of the "Asian values" argument resemble ultranationalist discourse that was dominant in Japan before the war. The Japanese Government had a great opportunity to reappraise its role in international politics and take stock of its economic and diplomatic relations with East Asian countries after the end of the Cold War. To meet future challenges, Japan should fully overcome anti-Western sentiment and participate in establishing a truly democratic East Asian regionalism based on the "universal values" of human rights, democracy and freedom. This may prove to be one of the biggest challenges for Japan's East Asia policy in the new century.

Strengthening concrete structures using FRP composites is a commonly considered technology in many practical situations. The success of the strengthening intervention largely depends on adequate bond between FRP sheets and the concrete substrate. In recent years, techniques to anchor FRP sheets in applications where sheets must develop strength in a short length have been proposed. One of these techniques includes use of FRP anchors embedded into the concrete substrate and forming part of the composite strengthening system. This paper presents the results of studies conducted recently at the University of Massachusetts Amherst to advance the understanding on the behavior of FRP anchored systems.

e-Government is an innovative phenomenon around the globe for refurbishing public administration. Research to date, however, has been deficient in empirical studies of the factors that emerge out of the interplay of structure and human interactions responsible for successful implementation of e-Government projects. From the perspective of structuration theory, this study examines and explains the impact of this interplay in the implementation of an e-Government system, eSeva for local administration at one of the Indian state, The results suggest that the success of implementation of e-Government projects can be conceptualized as the outcome of persisting constructive interrelationships among the human, programmatic and institutional elements of e-Government and the critical learning and adaptation as a result of efforts at the structuration level.

The grinding process is very complex and relates many parameters to control the process. As this reason, a theoretical analysis and a quantitative estimation of the grinding process has not been well established. In this study, the in-process monitoring system was suggested by applying the neural network for monitoring and shooting the malfunction of cylindrical plunge grinding process. This system used the power signals from the electric power meter. This neural network was composed of processing elements [4-(5-5)-3] with 4 identified power parameters. Because sensitivity is blunted some minute vibration components, the simulation result of this system has appeared about 10% erroneous recognition in the uncertain pattern and the average success rate of the trouble recognition was about 90%. Consequently, the developed system, which applied to the power signals, can be recognize enough to monitor the grinding process as in-process.

This paper describes a case study on the R&D programs of fighter and attacker aircraft such as F-22A, F/A-18E/F, and T/A-50. F-22A and F/A-18E/F were developed in same age. The performance of each program was, however extremely different. F-22A program results in a lot of cost overrun and schedule delay. On the other hand F/A-18E/F program met the cost, schedule, and performance goals. In the T/A-50 program with a super-sonic advanced trainer, T-50 was also developed successfully on planned cost and time by Korea Air-force and KAI. This paper derives key elements for the success of the military aircraft R&D program through lessons learned from th e case study. Each program is analyzed in terms of its background, planning and management.

An Arbitration agreement is one kind of contracts between two or more contracting parties; any possible disputes that arise concerning a contract will be settled by arbitration. The parties are free to agree on the number of arbitrators. The role of the arbitrator is so significant in the arbitration system that its success or failure may depend on the credibility of the arbitrator. The purpose of this paper is to examine the specific elements of the Arbitration Clause through arbitration laws, arbitration rules and the related cases, to introduce the standard clause which are recommended by the international institution and the individual countries, and to make the parties of international commercial contracts reflect them in their contracts. Thus this author would like to recommend the famous and well known the Standard Clause which were drafted by international institution such as ICC and UNCITRAL or individual countries.(LCIA, AAA, CIETAC, KCAB)

This study is to propose key directions of Busan North Port redevelopment for revitalization of waterfront. Since 1960s, there have been a lot of port redevelopment projects around the world. In Korea, Busan North Port redevelopment project is the first one which aims to make waterfront citizen-friendly within old port area. Many ports will be redeveloped soon after the Busan North Port redevelopment. At this time this is the basic research to lay groundwork for the systematic and efficient port redevelopment. We analyze the good examples of the world through case studies and suggest the problems and important elements of success of port redevelopment. Also we propose the objectives for waterfront revitalization and the visages of waterfront within port area. And then we analyze the situation of Busan North Port and examine the blueprints issued by national and city government. After that we suggest some ideas, such as land use plan, on North Port redevelopment for revitalization of waterfront in Busan Port Area.

This paper is on designing an indoor driving simulator to evaluate the performance of in-car speech recognizer when influenced by the elements, which lower the success rate of speech recognition. The proposed simulator simulates vehicle noise which was pre-recorded in diverse driving environments and driver's speech. Additionally, the proposed Lombard effect conversion module in this simulator enables the speech recorded in a studio environment to convert into various possible driving scenarios. The relevant experimental results have confirmed that the proposed simulator is a feasible approach for realizing an effective method as it achieved similar speech recognition results to the real driving environment.
