  • Online streaming wars are intensifying. Netflix is known as the market leader in the streaming business. However, since 2019, Netflix has been losing subscribers in the United States and is at a turning point where it needs to reassess its current position in the market. While Netflix is losing dominance, rivals Amazon Prime and Hulu continue to gain market shares. Studies from Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers indicated a new shift in the streaming landscape caused by the abundance of streaming options and rising subscription costs. Recent surveys showed that consumers are excited about new streaming services, such as Disney +. Nearly two-thirds of consumers intend to terminate or downgrade one or more of their current subscriptions to make room for a new service. Moreover, it seems that consumers want ad-supported options. In Deloitte's latest Digital Media Trends survey, 65% responded that they would watch ads to eliminate or reduce subscription costs. Seventy percent of Hulu's subscribers choose its lower-priced ad-supported plan. NBC recently launched its own streaming service, Peacock, with a free ad-supported option. This opposes Netflix's brand identity of "no ads" and premium differentiation. With increasing pressure from competition and the growing risk of subscriber loss, Netflix needs to diversify its price plans. The company could try implementing the lower-priced mobile-only plan they are currently testing or plan to test in other regions. Netflix should also consider features or benefits for loyal subscribers to maintain a stronger consumer base.

  • The goal of this study is to understand how financial inclusion (FI) as influenced by Internet subscribers in India, affects India's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). This study makes use of secondary data that was collected from 16 Indian states and one Union Territory between the fiscal years of 2018 and 2020. The goal of this study has been investigated using panel data regression analysis (PDR). And the study's findings indicate that wages received through MNREGA accounts and post office operating accounts under the supervision of Internet subscribers have a significant negative impact on India's SDGs, demonstrating how financial inclusion is harming the country's efforts to achieve sustainable development. This study suggests that it is important to pay attention to rural areas' access to the digital environment and their degree of digital literacy. These findings imply that improving the MGNREGA program and employees' pay might help the government alleviate poverty in India. Financial inclusion also depends heavily on financial literacy. The government should improve its digital infrastructure in rural and urban areas so that people there may better understand and utilize it given that it promotes financial inclusion, digitalization, economic advancement, rural development, and poverty reduction.

  • At ACISP'02, H.J. Kim et al.[1] proposed a new traitor tracing scheme. However, this paper show that the proposed scheme is to be insecure by presenting a conspiracy attack. Using our attack, any two subscribers can collaborate to derive the secret key of the data supplier and tell or sell it to any body. Thus, the unauthorized user can always decrypt the encrypted session key with the decrypted session key. Also the two subscribers cannot be traced by the data supplier

  • Principle of mailing list was distributed messages to all subscribers in one time. But mailing list operation has constructed a network traffic problem. Because mailing list manager distributed mails without concentrate on subscriber network. If our network has many of subscribers, there will be redundant data in traffic channel. Submailing list has purpose to reduce problems. Analyses of mailing list characteristic in electronic mail were a feature of submailing list system, which manage by human hand (Network Administrator). That will cause trouble for network traffic if Network Administrator could not seek for mailing list characteristic from e-mails in due time. This article will present ideas and recognize methodology for automatic working in submailing list system. Recognize step begin with capture process, which use to trap e-mail information from transfer channel. Next process is preparing raw data into recognition format. Then the third one is recognize part and find out confidential factor. The last process is make decision and determine which electronic mail has properties of mailing list characteristic. Afterward deliver result to submailing list for carry on.

  • This paper deals with dynamic optimal pricing for new products by a firm which maximizes the discounted profit stream of it's own in a duopoly. The problem is constructed as differential games and dynamic optimization theory. Cost is assumed to decline as time goes on. A modified customer's choice model is formulated as a diffusion model and we solve a dynamic optimization problem by adopting the diffusion model. Since this paper focus on deriving real prices not showing a time trend, we formulate recursive form equations of costate variables(shadow price) and a simultaneous equation of price. Hence we derive a dynamic optimal pricing model for using in real market. In particular, we construct a dynamic optimal pricing model in the case that there are benefits from not only new subscribers but also previous subscribers. We analyze instant camera market in U.S.A(1976-1985) by utilizing the above model.

  • In this paper, the affecting factors of the access demand for the cellular service are derived, and the access demand function of the cellular service is estimated. The results obtained in this study are as follows: First, the price (access charge) and the income elasticities of cellular services there exists a network externality in cellular communication services. Third, the technological capability of the service provider has played an essential role in expanding the size of subscribers. Fourth, the access demand of cellular communication service is not sensitive to the usage charge. According to the above results, it can be inferred that if the access charge is lowered, the number if subscribers will increase to the critical mass, and then the cellular communication market will grow up to a saturation point naturally.

  • Recently, the number of subscribers of the webtoons published by some major internet portal companies and others is increasing and their revenues are continually rising. Accordingly, a number of studies are being conducted for this phenomenon. For the uploaders off webtoons, their works are graded and added up for the promotion review but the criteria of such a promotion system usually fall short of readers' expectations. Although most of the subscribes of webtoons are drawn into subscription mainly by the recommendation of people around them, the responses from the new subscribers were often quite different from what the portal companies have anticipated, affecting the rank of the webtoon. Thus, a promotion management system which provides a reliable and clear method of assessment is proposed in this study including the revenue and copyright management scheme for the cartoonists.

  • Marketing is said to be a zero sum game i.e. each gain of customer for a firm is always at the expense of some other firm's customers. Therefore in a marketplace churn is a natural occurrence. Churn in Indian telecom market is among the highest in growing telecom markets. By using binary logistics regression analysis based models based covering a sample of 822 Indian telecom subscribers; this paper attempts to examine the determinants of churn. The future churn is found to be dependent on satisfaction level of the customer with the service provider, attitude and loyalty of the customer variables, intended churn (i.e. intention to churn) and current loyalty (defined as intention to recommend) and distraction (i.e. intention to experiment).

  • A passive Optical Network (PON) is famous for the most cost-efficient solution among the optical networks. This is because there is no active device between a central office and subscribers. A wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) offers each subscriber to feel unlimited bandwidth. A WDM-PON, however, has a cost problem that WDM-PON is used commercially. To solve this trouble, it is surveyed that a Sub-Carrier Multiplexing (SCM) used in a WDM-PON increases the number of subscribers. The performance of WDM/SCM-PON varies with various noises. The several FEC Codes can reduce the effects of noise and improve the performance of the system. Thus, Choosing a suitable FEC code is important work. This paper describes that a Reed-Solomon (RS) code is the most suitable code for WDM/SCM-PON at the object of 100 Mbps and $10^{-9}$ BER

  • Even though Internet phone service (IPS) continues to evolve in terms of quality and competitive pricing compared with the public switched telephone network (PSTN), the number of Internet phone subscribers is still low in South Korea. The Korean government decided to apply number portability to the IPS market in 2008. This study expresses its value in monetary terms with a contingent valuation approach. With this methodology, this study investigates the willingness of 316 current PSTN subscribers to pay for IPS, using a specific survey method called double-bounded dichotomous choices, to obtain more accurate data. The results show that the calculated value of Internet phone number portability positively impacts consumer welfare.
