수중운동의 표적추적성능 해석과 제어기 설계

  • The actuator's response delay, disturbance and measurement noise can often cause a significant error in the target tracking of an underwater vehicle. The first purpose of this paper is error analysis about motion of an underwater vehicle when the closed loop system has actuator and disturbance and noise. The underwater vehicle is simulated for cases of various disturbances. The second purpose is robust controller design for the underwater vehicle with parameter uncertainty. So, two robust control methods are applied for the underwater vehicle. One is standard $H_{\infty}$ control, and the other is time-varying sliding mode control with modified saturation function. Suboptimal design parameters for $H_{\infty}$ control, and design parameters for time-varying switching surfaces are provided Simulations for the two controllers are carried out and their performances are analyzed.lyzed.

  • Pharmacologic stress testing for myocardial perfusion imaging is a widely used noninvasive method for the evaluation of known or suspected coronary artery disease. The use of exercise for cardiac stress has been practiced for over 60 years and clinicians are familial with its using. However, there are inevitabe situations in which exorcise stress is inappropriate. A large number of patients with cardiac problems are unable to exercise to their full potential due to comorbidity such as osteoarthritis, vascular disease and pulmonary disease and a standard exercise stress test for myocardial perfusion imaging is suboptimal means for assessment of coronary artery disease. This problem has led to the development of the pharmacologic stress test and to a great increase in its popularity. All of the currently used pharmacologic agents have well-documented diagnostic value. This review deals the physiological actions, clinical protocols, safety, nuclear imaging applications of currently available stress agents and future development of new vasodilating agents.

A Semi-Markov Decision Process (SMDP) for Active State Control of A Heterogeneous Network

  • Due to growing demand on wireless data traffic, a large number of different types of base stations (BSs) have been installed. However, space-time dependent wireless data traffic densities can result in a significant number of idle BSs, which implies the waste of power resources. To deal with this problem, we propose an active state control algorithm based on semi-Markov decision process (SMDP) for a heterogeneous network. A MDP in discrete time domain is formulated from continuous domain with some approximation. Suboptimal on-line learning algorithm with a random policy is proposed to solve the problem. We explicitly include coverage constraint so that active cells can provide the same signal to noise ratio (SNR) coverage with a targeted outage rate. Simulation results verify that the proposed algorithm properly controls the active state depending on traffic densities without increasing the number of handovers excessively while providing average user perceived rate (UPR) in a more power efficient way than a conventional algorithm.

  • Data-adaptive sequential suboptimal designs for very complex computer simulation codes are considered based on a spatial prediction model. These designs are constructed for two simulators of the computational nuclear fusion devices model. The difficulty of constructing the optimal designs due to the irregular design region, and its alternatives are also discussed with some computational algorithms for obtaining the designs.

  • In vitro produced (IVP) embryos produced by in vitro fertilization (IVF) often exhibit wide variations in developmental competence and viability, considerably more than are exhibited by embryos that develop in vivo. These anomalies in IVP embryos may be due to heterogeneity of oocyte quality, suboptimal culture conditions, disturbances in gene expression, or most likely a combination of these factors (Ho et al., 1994; Roth et al., 1994; McKiernan and Bavister, 1998; Hasler, 1998; Schramm and Bavister, 1999; Doherty et al., 2000; Hyttel et al., 2000; Niemann and Wrenzycki, 2000; Wrenzycki et al., 2001). In research studies or in clinical applications with domesticated animals, cats, non-human primates and humans, oocytes used for IVF are usually collected from a heterogeneous cohort of ovarian follicles that include oocytes which normally might not be ovulated and/or are deficient in developmental competence.   • Radio frequency identification (RFID) is an emerging wireless communication technology which allows objects to be identified automatically. The tag anti-collision is a significant issue for fast identifying tags due to the shared wireless channel between tags and the reader during communication. The EPCglobal Class-1 Generation-2 which uses Q algorithm for the anti-collision is widely used in many applications such as consumer electronic device and supply chain. However, the increasing application of EPCglobal Class-1 Generation-2 which requires the dynamic environment makes the efficiency decrease critically. Furthermore, its frame length (size) determination and frame termination lead to the suboptimal efficiency. A new anti-collision algorithm is proposed to deal with the two problems for large-scale RFID systems. The algorithm has higher performance than the Q algorithm in the dynamic environment. Some simulations are given to illustrate the performance.

  • The problem of optimaizing multiframe targe detection (MFTD) performance si discussed. The MFTD problem is treated as a multiple hypothesis desision problem, and a ne optimality criterion for the MFTD problem is established. It is of Neyman-Pearson (NP) type which is extended to multiple hypothesis cases. An optimal solution with respect tot eh established criterion is derived, and also proposed is a suboptimal solution which reduces the compelexity accompanying the optimal one. The trade-off between the reduction of complexity and the amount of loss in the detection performance is also studied. The proposed algorithm is applied to an active sonar system and the performance is evaluated via Monte-Carlo simulations.

A Suboptimal Estimator Design for Discrete Nonlinear Systems (이산 비선형시스템에서의 준최적추정자)

  • An estimator for a discrete nonlinear system is derived in the sense of minimum mean square error. An optimal estimator for nonlinear system is very difficult to find and it will be infinite dimensional even if it is found. It has been known that the statistical linearization technique makes it possible to obtain a finite dimensional estimator. In this paper, the procedure of its derivation using the statistical linearization technique that gives an exact mean and variance information is introduced in the sense of minimum mean square error. The derived estimator cannot be clainmed to be globally optimal estimator because it uses the Gaussian assumption to the non-Gaussian distributed nonlinear output. However, the proposed filter exhibits a better performance compared to extended Kalman filter. Simulation results of a simple example present the improvement of the proposed filter in convergent property over the extended Kalman filter.

  • This paper gives a simple parameterization of all stable unbiased filters to solve the suboptimal mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ filtering problem. Using the central filter, mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ filter is designed which minimizes the upper bound for the $H_2$ norm of the transfer matrix from a white noise to the estimation error subject to an $H_{\infty}$ norm constraint on the transfer matrix from an energy-bounded noise to the estimation error. The problem of finding suitable estimator gain can be converted into a convex optimization problem involving linear matrix inequalities.

  • In this paper, we propose a centralized $H^{\infty}$ state estimator for the multi state estimation problem using the result suboptimal $H^{\infty}$ filter is a special form of Ka filter whose state equations are defined in md inner product spaces. Con- ventional decentr filters are based on Kalman filter assumes precesses and measurements noises are w Gaussian noise. Therefore, Kalman based decent filter design hasn't robust performance in situation. Simulation results show that decent $H^{\infty}$ filter has robust perfotmance in worst case sensor fault situation.
