The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of social relations satisfaction of low-income middle-aged and elderly single-person households on individual subjective happiness and to verify the mediating effect of depression and gender control to provide basic data for the development of related policies and programs. The SPSS WIN 25.0 program used frequency analysis, technical statistics analysis, correlation analysis, and PROCESS MACRO Model Number 4 to verify the mediating effect of 482 middle-aged singleperson households extracted using the "17th Korea Welfare Panel in 2022" survey data. In addition, the control effect was verified using PROCESS MACRO Model Number 1. The results of the study first showed that social relationship satisfaction after controlling demographic characteristics had a positive effect on subjective happiness. Second, it was found that depression had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between social relationship satisfaction and subjective happiness. Third, it was found that the higher the satisfaction level of social relationships among women than men, the greater the sense of happiness. Through this study, it is meaningful in that it identified the meaning of social relationships of middle-aged and elderly single-person households and presented practical implications so that they can be used as basic data for policy support measures.

The SPSS 24.0 statistics program has been used for various data analyses, including confidence verification, cross tabulation analysis, independent sample T-test, 3×2 multi-variant analysis. The study findings are as follows. First, the collective art therapy based on reminiscence therapy is effective in reducing the depression among the elderly with dementia. Second, the collective art therapy based on reminiscence therapy is effective in promoting interpersonal relationships among the elderly with dementia. Third, the collective art therapy based on reminiscence therapy is effective in improving the subjective sense of happiness among the elderly with dementia. Therefore, the reminiscence-based collective art therapy is found to serve as an effective means to relieve depression, improve interpersonal relationships and to promote a subjective sense of happiness among elderly people witn dementia.

The Personal sense of uniqueness (PSU) is positively associated with subjective well-being and has been recently shown its correlation with happiness, influencing consumer's experience behavior. However, the effects of hedonic and eudaimonic experience on conspicuous and inconspicuous (consumer's need for status and inner fulfillment) are unknown. The purpose of this research is to address a gap existing in the literature by testing the effects of PSU on hedonic and eudaimonic leisure experiences and how happiness leisure experiences effects conspicuous and inconspicuous consumption. The relationships hypothesized in the model are tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and bootstrapping procedure. Data was gathered using a self-administrated survey, answered by 200 consumers based on consumers' leisure experiences. The findings of this study suggest that (i) PSU positively and significantly influence hedonic and eudaimonic happiness; (ii) the effect of PSU on eudaimonic happiness is higher than in hedonic happiness; (iii) eudaimonic happiness positively and significantly influence conspicuous and inconspicuous consumption; and (iv) hedonic happiness negatively and significantly influence conspicuous and inconspicuous consumption. This study helps fill a gap in the literature by introducing and testing the effect of hedonic and eudaimonic leisure experiences and the relationship between these constructs and PSU and (in) conspicuous consumption.

The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between leisure sports activities among the elderly, wellness awareness, perceived freedom, and subjective well-being. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the study subjects were selected as the population aged 65 or older who lived in the Gwangju Metropolitan City area in 2022 and engaged in leisure sports activities. As for the sampling method, samples were extracted using cluster random sampling. A total of 300 people, 150 male and 150 female, were sampled. The survey tool was modified and supplemented according to this study based on the questionnaire that had been verified for reliability and validity in previous studies, and all questionnaire items were composed of a 5-point scale. The statistical analysis used for data analysis was frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Windows 21.0 Version. First, it was found that the wellness perception of the elderly partially affects the perceived sense of freedom. Second, it was found that the wellness perception of the elderly partially affects psychological happiness. Third, the elderly's perceived sense of freedom was found to affect their subjective well-being. Considering these research results, in order to effectively improve the quality of life in old age, it is important to promote physical, mental, emotional, and social relationships through nature-friendly sports activities to improve subjective life motivation, satisfaction, and happiness. It can be said that it increases the sense of well-being.
The purpose of this study was to understand the context of happiness that low-income households have experienced. To achieve this purpose, this study used qualitative panel data collected from in-depth interviews and analysed the data through an inductive approach. Specifically, a researcher analysed the context of individual cases, and visualized the contexts comprised of phenomenon and participants' experiences. The researcher, also, comprised the integrated context by continuous individual and complicated analysis. As results, the researcher found that the level of happiness that low-income households have experienced was more directly related with subjective experiences than objective status. In addition, the participants' subjective experiences were comprised of very complicated components of experience, and the level of happiness could differ depending on how individuals perceived positive experiences and negative ones. Based on these findings, researcher proposed the guidelines for social welfare policy and practice to improve the level of low-income households' happiness.
This study aimed to investigate the social consequences of happiness. For this purpose, we examined the effect of happiness on the formation of adolescents' peer relationship. A total of 241 Korean junior high school students completed a happiness questionnaire consisting of subjective well-being, psychological well-being, self-esteem, and optimism at the beginning of the school year. Four months later, their popularity and social behaviors were measured using self-reports and peer-nomination measures. Happy male students were more likely to become nominated as a preferred friend by their peers at the end of the semester; happy females were evaluated by their peers as being more creative than others. Happy adolescents also viewed themselves as being more sociable, popular, and having more leadership than others. Overall, the findings imply that happiness also have positive social consequences in highly collectivist cultural settings, such as Korea.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of academic resilience and interpersonal competence on the happiness of nursing students. A descriptive design was used to study 158 nursing students in nursing school through convenience sampling. IBM SPSS ver. 23.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, USA) was used to analyze data for descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance, Tukey post hoc test, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regressions. The results showed that the level of nursing students' happiness was lower than that of college students in other majors, but academic resilience and interpersonal competence among nursing students were relatively high. Nursing students' happiness was positively correlated with academic resilience and interpersonal competence. The factors affecting happiness were academic resilience (${\beta}=0.459$, p<0.001), satisfaction with major (${\beta}=0.272$, p=0.006), perceived subjective health status (${\beta}=0.223$, p=0.013), and interpersonal competence (${\beta}=0.185$, p=0.003). Explained variance for happiness was 56.4%, and academic resilience was the most influential factor in the happiness of nursing students. Nursing students are caring human beings and should be able to pursue a happy life; therefore, it is necessary to improve satisfaction levels with the nursing major, guide students to excel in their academic achievement, prepare health education programs, and design curriculum that inspires confidence in interpersonal relationships.
