유학생활은 학교에서 뿐만 아니라 경제, 사회적 관계, 문화 등 다양한 영역에서 이루어지기 때문에 각 영역별로 만족수준은 개인마다 상이하게 나타날 수 있다. 따라서 유학생활의 질적인 수준을 제고하기 위해서는 이를 고려하여 다차원적으로 접근할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 외국인 유학생의 유학생활만족도를 다차원적으로 접근하여 탐색하였다. 이를 분석하기 위해 잠재집단분석을 적용하여 하위집단을 식별하였으며, 집단분류에 영향요인을 검증하기 위해 다항로지스틱회귀모형을 적용하였다. 분석결과는 크게 2가지로 정리된다. 하나는 유학생활만족도가 상이한 하위집단이 식별되었다. 하위집단은 주거, 경제, 사회적 관계, 학업, 문화 등 5가지 영역별로 상이한 만족수준을 보였으며, 단일차원에서는 발견되지 않는 집단들을 식별해냈다. 두 번째는 집단분류에 영향을 미친 요인은 학업적 요인, 심리·정서적 요인, 환경적 요인이 복합적으로 작용하였다. 특히, 하위집단별로 예측요인은 상이하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 외국인 유학생의 유학생활만족수준을 제고하기 위한 실천적, 정책적 제언을 모색하고자 한다.

Many students prefer to study abroad to increase their chances of having a better future. While studying abroad they may encounter difficulties such as adapting to the culture of the country they are studying in. Chinese students coming to Korea are no exception to this, and when they are studying abroad, the new environment they are in may cause them hardships which may impact on their social life and even their academic performance. In order to develop their careers, they face many difficulties and challenges. Cultural differences they experience may change their attitudes, thoughts, and values. This research focuses on international students who are not yet certain about their future plans. In order to grasp levels of daily life satisfaction, ease of communication, and future planning orientation, this study conducted a survey of Chinese students who study in Korea. The empirical analysis showed that students with high level of life satisfaction have a tendency to enter graduate school. However, communication has no relation to future planning orientation.

The current number of international students is gradually increasing in the world due to their passion for study or exchange students programs related to be affiliated with their universities. Many international students have great hope for their successful life of studying abroad. The factors that play a key role in successful study abroad can be seen as life satisfaction in host country and career commitment. Therefore, this study suggested the way to improve students' life satisfaction and career commitment among Chinese international students in Korea. It focused on social identification as a core factor in improving international student life satisfaction and career commitment. In addition, it also focused on social support as a factor to increase social identification. According to the results of empirical analysis, it was verified that perceived social support improves social identification among international students. In addition, social identification improves their life satisfaction and career commitment. Therefore, the mediating effect of social identification was found to be significant in the relationship between perceived social support and life satisfaction and career commitment. This study was verified that if international students perceive social support, they can experience social identification. This process can eventually lead to life satisfaction and career commitment. Based on these results, it emphasized that the role and importance of social identification. Finally, the practical implications and future research directions were discussed.

As the number of Chinese students in Korea has significantly increased, the problems of students' life and academic achievement has appeared obviously. Utilizing an analysis on the relationship between the life satisfaction of Chinese students in Korea and the degree of internet addiction, the purposes of this research are to improve the quality of Chinese students' life and to contribute to the growth of Chinese students in Korea. A questionnaire-type survey was conducted on 350 Chinese college students in Daegu. The results of this study are as follows: First, the used time on internet games, chat and on-line TV differs from gender, the duration of internet games and their academic performance. Second, there are significant differences by gender, Korean ability, and academic performance in the life satisfaction of Chinese students in Korea. Third, Chinese college students in Korea are more addicted in the internet than Korean or Chinese college students at their own country. Fourth, the longer playing online game, the longer watching online TV, the less communicating with the Koreans, and the less satisfying with non -study related activities, the more Chinese college students of studying in Korea are addicted in the internet.

South Korea is in the limelight in the past decades as Korean universities races for internationalization. As the number of students studying abroad tremendously increasing, there has been a growing need for higher education institutions to understand international working students' life satisfaction and sense of belonging. The aim of this research is to outline which determinants affects life satisfaction as mediated by sense of belonging. With the samples size of 102 respondents, the proposed research model was examined using structural equation modeling (SEM) and SPSS. Results show that all determinants (Recognition, Quality of Education, Experienced Difficulties in Public Service and Understanding Korean Language) were positively significant toward Sense of Belonging. Likewise sense of belonging holds the positive indirect significant effects of the four determinants to life satisfaction.

The Leaders in organization play various core roles in workers' performance and organizational performance. A leader presents a vision and a direction to enable members to achieve higher performance. Especially, transformational leadership suggests members a strong vision and influences them to have identification with the organization. Based on previous researches, transformational leadership is a close connection to identification with job and organization satisfaction. This study explains the influence of the university professors' transformational leadership on students' university satisfaction and university identification. In this study, the subjects of statistical analysis are Chinese international students studying in Korea. As a result, first, professors' transformational leadership enhanced the level of students' university satisfaction. Second, university identification had a partial mediating influence on the relationship between professors' transformational leadership and students' university satisfaction. Professors' transformational leadership had an influence on the students' identification with their universities. Through this process, students become aware of identification and more satisfied with their universities. As a result of the transformational leadership of the professor, the identification and satisfaction of the international students will be improved and they will be better able to adapt to their study life and achieve high results. The purpose of this study is to emphasize the roles of transformational leadership as a necessary leadership for the successful study abroad life of Chinese students studying in Korea today.

본 연구에서는 재외 한국인 유학생들이 경험하는 학업스트레스와 문화진입스트레스가 심리적 적응에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 영어권 국가의 대학과 대학원에 재학 중인 대한민국 남녀 유학생 152명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 상관분석 결과, 학업스트레스와 문화진입스트레스는 주관적 안녕감, 삶의 만족과는 부적상관을 가지고 우울, 불안과는 정적상관을 가짐을 확인하였다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과, 인구통계학적 변인은 심리적 안녕감과 삶의 만족, 우울에는 유의미한 설명력을 가졌으나, 불안에는 유의미한 설명력을 가지지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 인구통계학적 변인의 효과를 통제한 상태에서 학업스트레스와 문화진입 스트레스는 심리적 안녕감, 삶의 만족, 우울, 불안에 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점, 의의, 후속연구의 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

국내에서 수학하는 외국인 유학생의 수가 매년 증가함에도 불구하고 이들에 대한 체계적인 지원이 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 외국인 유학생에게 실질적으로 필요한 학교 및 정부 차원의 지원이 무엇인지 알아보고자 유학생의 유학생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요소를 분석하였다. 특히 유학생의 차별 경험이 유학생활의 만족도를 낮추는 기제로 작동할 뿐만 아니라 유학생 지원정책의 실효성 또한 저해하는 요인으로 작용할 수 있다는 가정하에 외국인 유학생의 차별 경험과 유학생활만족도 간의 상관관계를 신인종주의적 관점에서 분석하였다. 군집표집 방법으로 모집된 설문조사 결과, 국적과 한국어 발음으로 인한 차별을 경험했을 때 유학생의 유학생활만족도가 낮아지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 국가 간 경제적 위계에 의한 차별과 문화적 우월주의, 즉 신인종주의가 발현된 지점으로, 연구결과를 바탕으로 외국인 유학생의 유학생활만족도를 높이기 위한 실질적 방안들을 모색 및 제언한다.

본 연구는 서울에 재학 중인 20대 중국인 유학생 중 미용전공자 283명을 대상으로 중국인 유학생의 생활스트레스 및 문화적응스트레스가 학업만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 시도되었다. 자료 수집은 2017년 2월부터 3월까지 진행하였다. 자료처리 및 분석은 SPSS ⅴ.22 통계 패기지 프로그램을 활용하여 연구 대상자인 중국인 유학생의 일반적 특성을 알아보기 위해 빈도분석을 실시하였으며, 측정도구의 타당성 검증과 신뢰도를 평가하기 위해 요인분석과 신뢰도분석을 실시하였다, 또한 각 변수 간의 상관관계분석과 회귀분석 방법을 활용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 중국인 유학생의 생활스트레스 하위요인인 친구관계스트레스, 외모스트레스, 경제적스트레스, 가족관계스트레스, 학업스트레스가 낮을수록 학업만족도는 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 문화적응스트레스의 하위요인 중 인간관계스트레스, 생활문화스트레스를 적게 받을수록 학업만족도는 높아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구의 분석 결과를 통해 중국인 유학생들이 한국 유학생활에서 느끼는 생활스트레스와 문화적응스트레스를 파악하여 문화 생활 교육 측면에서의 적절한 지원체계를 통한 유학 프로그램을 개발하여 제공함으로써 중국인 유학생들의 학업만족도를 높이는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 효율적 방안에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다.

2000년대 이후 국내 외국인 유학생은 크게 증가하였다. 2010년대 후반 정부의 고등교육 국제화 전략으로 인해 2019년 현재 외국인 유학생 수는 14만 명이 되었으며, 2023년에는 20만 명에 이를 전망이다. 우리 사회의 국제화와 인구절벽의 사회적 문제 앞에 외국인 유학생의 수가 증가하고 있는 것은 상당히 고무적인 일이며, 앞으로 이들의 행복한 유학생활은 상당히 중요한 문제가 되었다. 최근 한국에서 유학하는 베트남 유학생 수가 증가하고 있는데, 이들의 행복한 유학생활에 대해 관심을 가질 필요가 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 베트남 유학생들의 행복한 유학생활을 위한 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 한국 사회에 유입되고 있는 외국인 유학생들도 우리 사회의 한 구성원으로 인식하고 행복한 유학생활을 할 수 있도록 생활·경제, 복지, 교육 등의 측면에서 함께 노력해 가야 할 것이다.
