The life of studying abroad includes not only school life, but also various areas such as economy, social relationship, and culture, so the level of satisfaction in each area could be differently shown in each individual. Based on this critical mind, this study aims to analyze the satisfaction with life of studying abroad in the multidimensional perspective. To analyze this, a latent class analysis was applied to identify subgroups, and a multinomial logistic regression model was applied to verify factors influencing group classification. The results of the analysis could be summarized into two. First, there were sub-groups showing different satisfaction with life of studying abroad. The sub-groups showed different levels of satisfaction in five areas such as housing, economy, social relationship, study, and culture, which were not discerned in single dimension. Second, the classification of group was complexly influenced by academic factor, psychological/emotional factor, and environmental factor. Especially, the predictive factor had different influences on each sub-factor. Based on such results of this study, this study aims to seek for the practical and policy-level suggestions for improving foreign students' satisfaction with life of studying abroad.

Many students prefer to study abroad to increase their chances of having a better future. While studying abroad they may encounter difficulties such as adapting to the culture of the country they are studying in. Chinese students coming to Korea are no exception to this, and when they are studying abroad, the new environment they are in may cause them hardships which may impact on their social life and even their academic performance. In order to develop their careers, they face many difficulties and challenges. Cultural differences they experience may change their attitudes, thoughts, and values. This research focuses on international students who are not yet certain about their future plans. In order to grasp levels of daily life satisfaction, ease of communication, and future planning orientation, this study conducted a survey of Chinese students who study in Korea. The empirical analysis showed that students with high level of life satisfaction have a tendency to enter graduate school. However, communication has no relation to future planning orientation.

The current number of international students is gradually increasing in the world due to their passion for study or exchange students programs related to be affiliated with their universities. Many international students have great hope for their successful life of studying abroad. The factors that play a key role in successful study abroad can be seen as life satisfaction in host country and career commitment. Therefore, this study suggested the way to improve students' life satisfaction and career commitment among Chinese international students in Korea. It focused on social identification as a core factor in improving international student life satisfaction and career commitment. In addition, it also focused on social support as a factor to increase social identification. According to the results of empirical analysis, it was verified that perceived social support improves social identification among international students. In addition, social identification improves their life satisfaction and career commitment. Therefore, the mediating effect of social identification was found to be significant in the relationship between perceived social support and life satisfaction and career commitment. This study was verified that if international students perceive social support, they can experience social identification. This process can eventually lead to life satisfaction and career commitment. Based on these results, it emphasized that the role and importance of social identification. Finally, the practical implications and future research directions were discussed.

As the number of Chinese students in Korea has significantly increased, the problems of students' life and academic achievement has appeared obviously. Utilizing an analysis on the relationship between the life satisfaction of Chinese students in Korea and the degree of internet addiction, the purposes of this research are to improve the quality of Chinese students' life and to contribute to the growth of Chinese students in Korea. A questionnaire-type survey was conducted on 350 Chinese college students in Daegu. The results of this study are as follows: First, the used time on internet games, chat and on-line TV differs from gender, the duration of internet games and their academic performance. Second, there are significant differences by gender, Korean ability, and academic performance in the life satisfaction of Chinese students in Korea. Third, Chinese college students in Korea are more addicted in the internet than Korean or Chinese college students at their own country. Fourth, the longer playing online game, the longer watching online TV, the less communicating with the Koreans, and the less satisfying with non -study related activities, the more Chinese college students of studying in Korea are addicted in the internet.

South Korea is in the limelight in the past decades as Korean universities races for internationalization. As the number of students studying abroad tremendously increasing, there has been a growing need for higher education institutions to understand international working students' life satisfaction and sense of belonging. The aim of this research is to outline which determinants affects life satisfaction as mediated by sense of belonging. With the samples size of 102 respondents, the proposed research model was examined using structural equation modeling (SEM) and SPSS. Results show that all determinants (Recognition, Quality of Education, Experienced Difficulties in Public Service and Understanding Korean Language) were positively significant toward Sense of Belonging. Likewise sense of belonging holds the positive indirect significant effects of the four determinants to life satisfaction.

The Leaders in organization play various core roles in workers' performance and organizational performance. A leader presents a vision and a direction to enable members to achieve higher performance. Especially, transformational leadership suggests members a strong vision and influences them to have identification with the organization. Based on previous researches, transformational leadership is a close connection to identification with job and organization satisfaction. This study explains the influence of the university professors' transformational leadership on students' university satisfaction and university identification. In this study, the subjects of statistical analysis are Chinese international students studying in Korea. As a result, first, professors' transformational leadership enhanced the level of students' university satisfaction. Second, university identification had a partial mediating influence on the relationship between professors' transformational leadership and students' university satisfaction. Professors' transformational leadership had an influence on the students' identification with their universities. Through this process, students become aware of identification and more satisfied with their universities. As a result of the transformational leadership of the professor, the identification and satisfaction of the international students will be improved and they will be better able to adapt to their study life and achieve high results. The purpose of this study is to emphasize the roles of transformational leadership as a necessary leadership for the successful study abroad life of Chinese students studying in Korea today.

This Study examined impact of academic stress and acculturation stress experienced by overseas Republic of Korean students on psychological adjustment. For this purpose, the 152 female and male Korean students attending in undergraduate and graduate course in English speaking countries were surveyed. Academic stress and acculturation stress has negative correlation with psychological wellbeing and life satisfaction but has positive correlation with depression and anxiety. Hierarchical regression analysis confirmed that demographic variables predicted psychological well-being, life satisfaction and depression except anxiety. After controlling the demographic variables, academic stress and acculturation stress predicted psychological well-being, life satisfaction, depression and anxiety. Finally, limitations of this study, the significance, the direction of future research are discussed.

This study attempts to investigate what systematic support is needed for foreign national students studying in South Korea by analyzing the relationship between foreign national students' life satisfaction and experiences of discrimination. The study utilized neo-racism as a theoretical framework and assumed that foreign national students' experiences of discrimination may lower life satisfaction while disrupting related policies to be effective. Cluster sampling was used to collect surveys, and a total number of 322 cases were analyzed. The study result reveals that experiences of discrimination resulting from students' nationality and Korean language pronunciation led to low life satisfaction in general. Based on the findings, the authors suggest ways to promote awareness around (un)intentional discriminatory actions both at institutional and political levels.

This study investigated the effects of life stress, cultural adaptation stress, and academic satisfaction amongst a total of 283 20's Chinese students majoring in cosmetology at colleges in Seoul. For this, data was collected from February to March 2017. The frequency analysis was conducted to verity the general characteristic of Chinese student studying in Korea who are study objects while utilizing SPSS Statistics V22.0 for data processing and analysis while the factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted to investigate the validity of measurement tool and evaluate the reliability. Moreover, the regression analysis between variables and regression analysis were utilized. The results found the following: First, in terms of life stress, as peer relationship, appearance stress, economic stress, family relationship stress and academic stresses decreased, their academic satisfaction increased. Second, regarding cultural adaptation stress, as interpersonal and living culture stresses were lowered, academic satisfaction increased. Therefore, this study targets to derive implications on an efficient plan to improve the academic satisfaction of Chinese students studying in the Republic of Korea by developing and providing a proper academic program with a decent support system in terms of culture, life, and education after investigating their life and cultural adaptation stresses.

Since the 2000s, the number of foreign students in Korea has increased considerably. In late 2010, the government's strategy to internationalize higher education will bring the number of foreign students to 140,000 as of 2019 and soon to 200,000 by 2023. As the number of foreign students increases, the happy life of foreign students in Korea has become a very important social issue at a time when the population is shrinking. Increasing the satisfaction level of foreign students living in Korea is a matter that should not be overlooked given that our society will face problems of globalization and population cliff in the future. Recently, the number of Vietnamese students studying in Korea has been on the rise, raising the need to pay attention to their happy study lives. In this study, I would like to suggest a plan for the happy life of Vietnamese students in Korea. To that end, 90 Vietnamese students in Korea were surveyed on their satisfaction with living, economy, welfare environment, university education, language education and overall studying abroad. Foreign students entering Korean society should also work together in terms of living, economy, welfare and education so that they can recognize themselves as a member of our society and live happily abroad.
