  • Currently, there are many problems due to the decline in school-age population. Moreover, Korea has the largest number of universities compared to the population, and the university enrollment rate is also the highest in the world. As a result, the minimum student retention rate required for the survival of each university is becoming increasingly important. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of reducing the number of graduates of education and the social climate that prioritizes employment. And to determine what the basic direction is for students to manage the student retention rate, which can be maintained from admission to graduation, to determine the optimal input variables, Based on the input parameters, we will make associative analysis using apriori algorithm to collect training data that is most suitable for maintenance rate management and make base data for development of the most efficient Deep Learning module based on it. The accuracy of Deep Learning was 75%, which is a measure of graduation using decision trees. In decision tree, factors that determine whether to graduate are graduated from general high school and students who are female and high in residence in urban area have high probability of graduation. As a result, the Deep Learning module developed rather than the decision tree was identified as a model for evaluating the graduation of students more efficiently.

While employment continued to occur even with the lapse of one year and two years after the completion point, the employment rate over time was found to decrease gradually. Second, the factors affecting employment rate after completing training, appeared teaching competency(-) among training service quality and potential employability(+), which low awareness of teaching capacity and high awareness potential employability increased the possibility of their employment. Third, the highest periods (each 22.0%, 22.3%) of employment loss rate were within three months and within three to six months, and more than 50% of the trainees have lost their unemployment insurance were less than 8.8 months. • Many web-based learning systems have been developed and used widely. But it is known that web-based courses have higher drop out rate. Prior studies in classroom-based courses have shown there is a high correlation between student satisfaction and retention. This paper examines the developed web based self-regulated learning system and analyze self-regulated learning factors. We have derived key factors and their relationship that affect student satisfaction in web-based learning. The key factors are Self-evaluating, Goal setting & Planning, Seeking information, Seeking social assistance and Reviewing records. We found the key factors will help retention in web-based learning.

  • University dormitories play an important role in both the campus experience and academic achievement, as well as providing the students with their basic necessities. Further, there is a high demand to increase the capacity in order to raise the retention rate and to invite more foreign students. Students' social interaction and sense of community (SOC) also play an important role in reducing the stress associated with studying and home sickness and, consequently, the campus is a place that provides positive opportunities for their personal growth and adaptation into their peer group social culture. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the physical environment of the dormitory facilities on the students' sense of community and social interaction in across-cultural background. The ${\chi}^2$ analysis indicated that individual characteristics exist regarding SOC, however, there were no statistically significant differences between the two cultural groups. The factors of SOC and physical environment were higher in the Korean student group than in the U.S. group. The regression analysis indicated that the U.S. students considered a physically comfortable environment as the primary issue for social interaction, while the Korean group placed more emphasis on a family-oriented home environment. The linear analysis confirmed that satisfaction with the physical environment influenced the social interaction and SOC level. Finally, this study suggests that creating a homely environment is more important than the functioning of the institution in university dormitory planning.
