자유날개 동체꺾임형 항공기의 조종성 해석 (Free-wing Tilt-body Aircraft Controllerability Analysis)

  • The free-wing tilt-body aircraft is researched in the flight performance characteristics such as short take-off and landing capability, and reduced sensitivity to gust and center of gravity (CG) change. Due to the main wing separating from the fuselage, the high tiltable empennage, and the stub-wing strongly influencing from the propeller wake, the resulting vehicle aerodynamics and flight dynamics are quite different from those of a conventional fixed-wing aircraft. Using the governing flight dynamics model was studied previously, all of speed and body tilt angle is simulated to determine the flight envelope by a non-linear 3-DOF flight simulation analysis. Though flight performance and trimmability are studied, the flight model of free-wing tilt-body aircraft is to reduce the hidden risk and to achieve the successful flight test. It is analyzed the flight characteristics that distinguishes free-wing tilt-body aircraft from the conventional aircraft.

Design for Microstrip Patch Antenna with Dual Frequency and Dual Polarization for W-CDMA System

  • This paper proposes a design for microstrip patch antenna with dual resonance and dual polarization fed by proximity coupled quarter wavelength stub. The antenna characteristics are analyzed by the FDTD method with Mur's 2nd order ABC. From the simulation results based on the FDTD method, frequency characteristics of structure parameters such as the patch size and the offset feed are investigated. The numerical results are compared with the experimental results, and the comparison shows reasonable agreement for a design frequency.

Small-Size and High-Isolation MIMO Antenna for WLAN

  • A small-sized ($15mm{\times}30mm$) planar monopole MIMO antenna that offers high-isolation performance is presented in this letter. The antenna is miniaturized using inductive coupling within a meander-line radiator and capacitive coupling between a radiator and an isolator. High isolation is achieved by a T-shaped stub attached to the ground plane between two radiators, which also contributes to the small size using a folded structure and the capacitive coupling with radiators. The proposed antenna operates for the WLAN band within 2.4 GHz to 2.483 GHz. The measured isolation (S21) is about -30 dB, and the envelope correlation coefficient is less than 0.1.

Design of an Ultra-Wideband Antenna Using a Ring Resonator with a Notch Function

  • This paper describes an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna that uses a ring resonator concept. The proposed antenna can operate in the entire UWB, and the IEEE 802.11a frequency band can be rejected by inserting a notch stub into the ring resonator. The experiment results indicate that the measured impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 17.5 GHz (2.5 GHz to at least 20 GHz). The proposed UWB antenna has omnidirectional radiation patterns with a gain variation of 3 dBi (1 dBi to 4 dBi).

마이크로/밀리미터파 대역에서 전력증폭기의 효율향상을 위한 MEMS 튜닝회로 (MEMS TUNING ELEMENTS FOR MICRO/MILLIMETER-WAVE POWER AMPLIFIERS)

  • 초고주파/밀리미터파 대역에서 전력증폭기의 효율을 향상시키기 위해 MEMS 튜닝회로를 설계하였다. MEMS 튜닝회로의 효과를 확인하기 위해 2차 및 3차 고조파를 억제할 수 있도록 3-stub Class-E 증폭기를 설계하였으며 또한 설계된 증폭기에 대해 시뮬레이션을 실시하였다. 시뮬레이션의 결과로서 8GHz에서 14dBm입력에 대해 MEMS가 적용된 증폭기의 성능은 PAE=66 9%, drain efficiency=75.89%, 그리고 출력 P=23.37 dBm을 얻었다. 또한 FET의 기생리액턴스의 변화에 대해서 MEMS 튜닝회로의 효율증대효과를 확인하였다. 결론적으로 이 연구에서 제안된 새로운 방법을 통해 증폭기의 효율향상을 위한 효과적인 방법이 될 수 있음 보여 주었다.

  • Concrete-filled steel tube(CFT) columns have become popular for building construction due to not only composite effect of steel tube and infilled concrete, but also more economical. The purpose of this paper is to propose the applicable boundary formula of width-to-thickness ratio for rectangular steel tube as using CFT column. A parametric study was performed taking width-to-thickness ratio of rectangular steel tube and compressive strength of concrete as the main parameter. The strength of concrete are selected to 30, 60, 90MPa. The non-linear analysis was adopted in order to take into account the effect of concrete strength. Finally, from the test and analysis results, the effect of increasing strength according to concrete strength and width-to-thickness of steel tube and plastic behavior of specimens were verified distinctly.

  • We have proposed a bow-tie UWB antenna using a U-shaped stub. The proposed antenna covers the entire ISM frequency (2.45 GHz) and DS-OFDM UWB band ($3.1\;{\sim}\;5\;GHz$). Simulated and measured results are found to be in good agreement with each other. The designed antenna has the figure-of-eight radiation pattern, wide bandwidth, dual-band, and negligible dispersion over the operating frequency band.

수평형 p-i-n 광다이오드의 제작, 특성 측정 및 광제어 스터브 장착 위상기의 설계 (Fabrication and Characterization of Lateral p-i-n photodiodes and design of stub mounted optically controlled phase shifter)

  • Lateral p-i-n photodiodes have been fabricated, electrically tested, and incorporated into microwave control circuits such as an optically excited microwave atttenuator and reflection type phase shifter. Circuit design procedures for the loaded-line phase shifter with the optically controlled p-i-n photodiode are presented. The equal loss loading mode presented for the first time for the phase shifter circuits with lossy load allows an equal insertion loss of the phase shifter in both of its phase states. It is found that the insertion loss of the equal loss loading mode phase shifter constructed with the fabricated p-i-n photodiode load are about 3dB for 11.25$^{\circ}$ bit and 1dB for 5.625$^{\circ}$ bit for the frequency range of 2GHz to 11GHz.

  • Dual-band microstrip antenna is designed for industrial-scientific-medical(ISM) band of 2.4㎓ and 5.8㎓ using finite-difference time-domain method(FDTD). Cross Patch fed by aperture in the ground plane of microstrip line is proposed as radiation element of antenna, which is 2 rectangular Patch is overlapped. To design antenna, change of input impedance by aperture and stub length change is examined. And it is investigated that center frequency and -10 ㏈ bandwidth by Length of radiation element and width change. Experimental result about reflection Loss confirmed that agree well with analysis results of FDTD and IE3D, And -3 ㏈ beam width, front to back ratio and gain in frequency 2.43㎓ and 5.79㎓ is presented by measuring radiation Pattern of antenna.

  • Protocol specifications and service definitions for distributed open system applications are defined using ASN.1. Therefore, to implement an open system application likes MHS, it is necessary to have well defined encoding/decoding modules which translate ASN.1 protocol specifications into their transfer syntaxes. However, that work is usually tedius, time consuming, and error prone. In this paper, we designed and implemented a new ASN.1 tool set which includes a new ASN.1 run-time library, called HY BER/DER, and an enhanced ASN.1-to-C compiler, called HYASNC$^{+}$. HYASNC$^{+}$ automatically generates C language encoder/decoder stub files and heder files for basic ASN.1 types and subtypes defiend in X.208 recommandation, and all X400 MHS system macro definitions. And, we evaluated the performance of HYASNC$^{+}$ compiler and HY BER/DER run-tiem library, and tested the interoperability of ASN.1 run-time library.
