Krasovskii 정리를 이용한 로보트 매니퓰레이터의 강건제어에 관한 새로운 접근 (A new approach on the robust control for robot manipulator using Krasovskii theorem)

  • The robust control technique is generally the iterative design method to determine a robust control for perturbed system with prescribed range of perturbation based on the robust stability measure. However, robot manipulator has the structured pertubation and the unstructured one. This paper proposes the robust technique for designing controller such that the trajectory of end-effector of robot manipulator tracks asymptotically the desired trajectory for all allowable variations in the manipulator's parameter. For satisfying asymptotical stability though we can not know the bound of perturbations and the parameter variations, the relation between the unknown parameter and the parameter of nominal system can be derived from Krasovskii theorem and we construct the new robust control using that relation. Performance Analysis of Blind Channel Estimation for Precoded Multiuser Systems

  • Precoder has been shown to be able to provide source diversity and design flexibility. In this paper we employ precoding techniques for block transmission based on a multirate filterbank structure. To accommodate multiuser communication with variable data rates, different precoders with corresponding coefficients and up/down sampling rates are used. However, due to unknown multipath distortion, different interferences may exist in the received data, such as multiuser interference, intersymbol interference and interblock interference. To estimate channel parameters for a desired user, we employ all structured signature waveforms associated with different symbols of that user and apply subspace techniques. Therefore better performance of channel estimator can be achieved than the conventional subspace method based only on the signature of the current symbol. The delay for that user can also be jointly estimated. Channel identifiability conditions and asymptotic channel estimation error are investigated in detail. Numerical examples are provided to justify the proposed method. gest either multicode (MC) or multiple processing gain (MPG) mechanism [2], while requiring data rates to be integral multiples of some basic low-rate. In order to support variable rate transmission however, a comprehensive scheme needs to be investigated.

Second-order wave radiation by multiple cylinders in time domain through the finite element method

  • A time domain finite element based method is employed to analyze wave radiation by multiple cylinders. The nonlinear free surface and body surface boundary conditions are satisfied based on the perturbation method up to the second order. The first- and second-order velocity potential problems at each time step are solved through a finite element method (FEM). The matrix equation of the FEM is solved through an iteration and the initial solution is obtained from the result at the previous time step. The three-dimensional (3D) mesh required is generated based on a two-dimensional (2D) hybrid mesh on a horizontal plane and its extension in the vertical direction. The hybrid mesh is generated by combining an unstructured grid away from cylinders and two structured grids near the cylinder and the artificial boundary, respectively. The fluid velocity on the free surface and the cylinder surface are calculated by using a differential method. Results for various configurations including two-cylinder and four-cylinder cases are provided to show the mutual influence due to cylinders on the first and second waves and forces.

  • Most of rotating machineries supported by contact bearing accompany lowering efficiency, vibration and wear. Moreover, because of vibration, which is occurred in rotating shaft, they have the limits of driving speed and precision. The rotor system has parametric variations or external disturbances such as mass unbalance variations in long operation. Therefore, it is necessary to research about magnetic bearing, which is able to support the shaft without mechanical contact and to control rotor vibration without being affected by external disturbances or parametric changes. Magnetic bearing system in the paper is composed of position sensor, digital controller, actuating amplifier and electromagnet. This paper applied the robust control method using quantitative feedback theory (QFT) to control the magnetic bearing. It also proposed design skill of optimal controller, in case the system has structured uncertainty, unstructured uncertainty and disturbance. Reduction of vibration is verified at critical rotating speed even external disturbance exists. Unbalance response, a serious problem in rotating machinery, is improved by magnetic bearing using QFT algorithm.

pH Effect on the Structure of Reduced NifU-like Protein from Helicobacter pylori

  • Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) survives in acidic and fluctuating pH conditions of the stomach. The pH effect on H. pylori proteins is important for the advanced understanding of its evolution and viability, although this bacterium has the molecular machinery that neutralizes the acidic condition. HP1492 is known as a conserved NifU-like protein from H. pylori. NifU is a nitrogen fixation protein that mediates the transfer of iron-sulfur (Fe-S) cluster to iron-sulfur proteins like ferredoxin. Commonly, the monomeric reduced state of NifU can be converted to the dimeric oxidized state by intermolecular disulfide bond formation. Because it remains unclear that HP1492 actually behaves as known NifU protein, we first found that this protein can adopt both oxidized and reduced forms using size exclusion chromatography. Circular dichroism experiment showed that HP1492 is relatively well-structured at pH 6.5, compared to other pH conditions. On the basis of the backbone resonance assignment of HP1492, we further characterized the residues that are sensitive to pH using NMR spectroscopy. These residues showing large chemical shift changes could be mapped onto the secondary structure of the protein. Our results could provide the foundation for structural and biophysical studies on a wide spectrum of NifU proteins.

  • 물과 요소 수용액에서 Poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)의 구조 성질에 대한 온도의 효과를 보고한다. 물과 요소/물 혼합물 (요소 농도는 각각 0.2, 1, 2 M)에서 PEO에 대한 고유점도와 Huggins 계수의 값은 점도측정 방법에 의해 얻어졌으며, 이것을 물 구조 변화 관점에서 논의했다. 낮은 온도(22.deg.C이하)에서 PEO-물간 상호작용은 우세해 사슬은 펼쳐져있는 반면, 높은 온도(24.ang.C 이상)에서는 상호작용이 우세하지 못하고 사슬은 소수성 수화에 의해 어켜있게 된다. 즉, 온도가 상승함에 따라 PEO-물 상호작용은 우세하지 못하게 된다. 요소가 계에 가해짐에 따라 PEO사슬은, 우세하지 못한 PEO-물 상호작용으로부터 유발된 구조화된 물의 동요에 의해, 더 펼쳐지거나 거대해지게 된다. 고유점도 값에 대한 온도의 효과는 Arrhenius 행동을 나타낸다. 따라서 점성 흐름에 대한 활성화 에너지를 구해 논의하였다.

A systematic review of the biological mechanisms linking physical activity and breast cancer

  • [Purpose] Epidemiological evidence has shown that leisure-time physical activity and structured exercise before and after breast cancer diagnosis contribute to reducing the risk of breast cancer recurrence and mortality. Thus, in this review, we aimed to summarize the physical activity-dependent regulation of systemic factors to understand the biological and molecular mechanisms involved in the initiation, progression, and survival of breast cancer. [Methods] We systematically reviewed the studies on 1) the relationship between physical activity and the risk of breast cancer, and 2) various systemic factors induced by physical activity and exercise that are potentially linked to breast cancer outcomes. To perform this literature review, PubMed database was searched using the terms "Physical activity OR exercise" and "breast cancer", until August 5th, 2020; then, we reviewed those articles related to biological mechanisms after examining the resulting search list. [Results] There is strong evidence that physical activity reduces the risk of breast cancer, and the protective effect of physical activity on breast cancer has been achieved by long-term regulation of various circulatory factors, such as sex hormones, metabolic hormones, inflammatory factors, adipokines, and myokines. In addition, physical activity substantially alters wholebody homeostasis by affecting numerous other factors, including plasma metabolites, reactive oxygen species, and microRNAs as well as exosomes and gut microbiota profile, and thereby every cell and organ in the whole body might be ultimately affected by the biological perturbation induced by physical activity and exercise. [Conclusion] The understanding of integrative mechanisms will enhance how physical activity can ultimately influence the risk and prognosis of various cancers, including breast cancer. Furthermore, physical activity could be considered an efficacious non-pharmacological therapy, and the promotion of physical activity is probably an effective strategy in primary cancer prevention.
