  • Recently, the wooden structure has been revived again as an eco-friendly structure technique. It is the counterattack of the wood material, which has become more recognized as a finishing material pushed by the concrete material in the rapid growth after the Industrial Revolution. However, it is difficult to conclude that this is a tendency of the construction market in the whole country. Perhaps this is a tendency to appear more strongly in Korea. It could be seen by comparing the characteristics of the overseas construction market with Korean's and the advanced constructed case of large-scale wooden structures in overseas. National wooden buildings show own characteristics such as construction methods, materials, and member dimensions of wood structures by country, which could be seen as a result of continuously developing their own technology. However, in Korea, despite its unique wooden structure and technology (Hanok; Korean traditional housing), it has not been developed continuously and treated it only as a living building exhibit. This is evidenced by the fact that only one percent of the building is constructed with traditional wooden building technology. Therefore, there are various efforts to modernize the traditional wooden structure technology, but it still does not reach the level of advanced wooden technology abroad. The characteristics of the Korean wooden building market were analyzed in order to suggest ways to develop the Korean wood structure technology. The characteristics of Hanok construction were analyzed through quantitative criteria to define the main development tasks for Hanok development to propose the long-term development path.

  • This study was conducted upon the premise that index terms display the intellectual structure of a specific subject field. In this study, and attempt was made to grasp the intellectual structure of Library and Information. Science by clustering the index terms of the journals of the related academic societies at the Library of National Assembly - such as the Journal of the Korean Society for Information Management, the Journal of the Korean Library and Information Science Society, and the Journal of the Korean Society for Library and Information Science. Through the course of the study, index term clusters were generated based on the linkage of the index terms and the frequency of co-occurrence, and moreover, time periods analysis was conducted along with studies on first-appearing terms, in order to clarify the trend and development process of the Library and Information Science. This study also analysed the difference between two intellectual structure by comparing the structure generated by index term clusters with the existing structure of traditional classification systems.

  • Recently, structure safety management techniques using cutting-edge technology(Displacement senor, sensor of acceleration) has emerged as an important issue owing to the aging of infrastructure such as bridge and building. In general, the structural monitoring system for structure safety management is based on IT technology and it is expensive to install. In this paper developed an image-based structure dynamic characteristic analysis system prototype to assess the damage of structure in a more cost-effective way than traditional structure health monitoring system. The inspector can take a video of buildings or other structures with digital camera or any other devices that is passible to take video, and then using NCC calculation for image processing technique to get natural frequency. This system is analysis of damage of the structure using a compare between the frequency response ratio and functions when problems are occurs send alarm to administrator. This system is easier to install and remove than previous monitoring sensor in economical way.

  • The drawing information takes the most essential part of construction information. The management of construction information through drawing information facilitates input, output and search process, thus helping maximize the usage of construction information by effectively sharing construction experience and drawing information. This paper shows how construction information can effectively used to increase the productivity of the construction process as a whole. Construction information was extracted and classified by the elements of building which are the basic and very end components of building, to accumulate information of each construction phase. Based on the result, the Element Breakdown Structure(EBS) was developed for the practical usage of construction information integration.

  • This explorative study examines the difference in firm performance according to the adoption of the core technology of the Fourth industrial revolution, including artificial intelligence(AI), internet of things (IoT), cloud computing, and big data technology. Additionally, we investigate the importance of internal organizational structure exclusively responsible for information security. We analyze unique microdata offered by the Korea Information Society Development Institute to examine the impact of the adoption of the new technologies and the existence of organizational structure for information protection on firm performance, i.e., firm sales. By considering the core information technology as powerful knowledge assets, we argue that the adoption of such technology leads firms to have comparative advantage comparing to the competitors. Also, we emphasize the need to consider the organizational structure suitable for information security, which can become a structural asset of a firm.

  • Beijing, as a cradle of modern industry and the third largest metropolitan area in China, faces more responsibilities to adjust industrial structure and mitigate carbon emissions. The purpose of this study is aimed at predicting and comparing industrial carbon emissions of Beijing in ten scenarios under different policy focus, and then providing emission-cutting recommendations. In views of various scenarios issues, system dynamics has been applied to predict and simulate. To begin with, the model has been established following the step of causal loop diagram and stock flow diagram. This paper decomposes scenarios factors into energy structure, high energy consumption enterprises and growth rate of industrial output. The prediction and scenario simulation results shows that energy structure, carbon intensity and heavy energy consumption enterprises are key factors, and multiple factors has more significant impact on industrial carbon emissions. Hence, some recommendations about low-carbon mode of Beijing industrial carbon emission have been proposed according to simulation results.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a model of plant management based on Robinia pseudo-acacia forests structure in Bucheon city, Korea. For 38 plots were established in Robinia pseudo-acacia forest of Bucheon city. As a result, Robinia pseudo-acacia community was expected to the proceeded to Quercus spp. community. In addition, the diversity of Robinia pseudo-acacia-Quercus spp. community was analyzed higher than Robinia pseudo-acacia community. Based on the result of forest structure analysis, Quercus spp. community was selected as the goal stage of plant management for Bucheon forests and 22 species that were selected by the importance value analysis, classification and ordination analysis and the correlation analysis were chosen as the ecological approprite species. This study also suggested density control guide line for sucession promotion, which individuals numbers of Robinia pseudo-acacia might be reduced from 50 individuals to 23 individuals by selective cutting in order to keep 65% of total basal area.

  • This paper proposes a product data model that can express and enforce integrity constraints on product structure during engineering changes (ECs). The model adopts and extends an active object-oriented database model in order to Integrate IC data and their integrity constraints. Tightly integrated with product structure, It will enable designers to maintain and exchange consistent EC data throughout the product life cycle. In order to properly support operations for ECs, the model provides the data, operations, and Event-Condition-Action rules for nested ECs and simultaneous EC applications to multiple options. in addition, the EC objects proposed In the model integrate the data and Integrity constraints into a unified repository. This repository enables designers to access all EC data and integrity constraints through the product structure and relationships between EC objects. This paper also describes a prototype product data management system based on the proposed model In order to demonstrate its effectiveness.

  • We draw on well-established thinking in the complementary fields of organization theory and strategic management to develop a model explaining why fit among a firm's competitive strategy, its structure, and its technology is a prerequisite for superior performance. The contributions of this theoretical treatise are twofold. Firstly, it helps reduce the disconnect in thinking that exists between the strategy and organization-theory literatures on business-level issues. Secondly, it reveals the importance of managing the coalignment among strategy, structure, and technology which, in turn, forces recognition that competitive advantage does not exist in a static state but in a dynamic condition.

  • This study is executed to find out necessities of park & open space management, its policy, its administrational structure, and personnel management. To get objective and basic materials for this study, conscious structure of practical level members in Seoul is analyzed by means of questionnaire sheet and ANOVA analysis. It is important to consider various related factors ; quality upgrading of management of park & open space, improvement of productivity, intensification of user service, and orientation of self administration. As a result, we should restructure the park system and policy in order to enhance recognition toward the necessities of park & open space. And we could suggest regional specialization of district autonomy area as an alternative strategy.
