Application of Generic Algorithm to Inspection Planning of Fatigue Deteriorating Structure

  • Genetic Algorithm (GA) is applied to obtain optimal Inspection plan for fatigue deteriorating structures. The optimization problem is defined so as to minimize inspection cost in the 1ifs-time of the structure under the constraint that the increment of failure probability in each inspection interval is maintained below a target value. Optimization parameters are the inspection timing and the inspection quality. The inspection timing is selected from the discrete intervals such as one year, two years, three years, etc. The inspection quality is selected from the followings; no inspection, normal inspection, sampling inspection or precise inspection. The applicability of the proposed GA approach is demonstrated through the numerical calculations assuming a structure consisting of four member sets. Influences of the level of target failure probability, initial defect condition and stress increase due to plate thickness reduction caused by corrosion on inspection planning are discussed.

  • The investigation of concrete structure typically relies on visual inspection which is one of the basic inspection techniques. Image processing techniques play a crucial role in the growing field of automatic surface inspection technique. However, kinds of inspection equipment, environmental condition and detection algorithm have much influence on the reliability of inspection result. This paper proposes a verification method and testing procedure for the reliability of inspection results and surveys characteristics of image acquisition systems and crack inspection algorithms.

  • 항공기용 복합재 구조물의 제작에 대한 품질관리는 자재의 입고에서부터 제품의 제작과정에 이르는 모든 단계에서의 검사, 시험 및 모니터링을 포함한다. 이러한 품질관리 활동은 설계의 목적에 적합하게 이루어졌는지 확인하기 위한 것이다. 품질에 영향을 미치는 인자들은 자재, 입고검사, 보관 및 시효관리, 작업환경의 관리, 시험, 검사 및 기록의 관리 등이 있다. 본 연구에서는 항공기 복합재 구조물에서 파괴시험을 통한 공정의 적합성 입증방법과 품질관리방법을 고찰하였으며 이를 바탕으로 복잡한 복합재 구조물에 대한 비파괴검사 방법의 신뢰성을 확보하고 복합재의 설계요구조건을 확인할 수 있는 기법을 제시하였다.

  • This paper presents a robust controller in order to handle the guide rail vibrations of Bridge Inspection System. While a Bridge Inspection Robot moves on guide rails with vibration by weight occurs. Therefore, Guide rail as structure like cantilever beam appears vibration by weight of Bridge Inspection Robot. The Z axis of Bridge Inspection Robot operates with Scissors structure. Bridge Inspection Robot is used 'PID Controller based on Sliding Mode control' for position control with Z axis. At the result of, this paper is applied to simulation about position control regarding vibration to occur with Z axis.

  • In recent years, the deterioration of infrastructures is especially considered. In prestress concrete bridges, one of the important mechanisms of deterioration is the corrosion of the post-tensioned tendon due to environmental agents. In this study, the reliability analysis is performed for a prestress concrete box girder bridge under the pitting corrosion attack with considering the inspection and failure cost. The variation of life-time performance depending on inspection methods have to be quantified. The inspection methods with different accuracy of corrosion detection are presented and applied for model of reliability analysis. The computer program for analysis reliability index of the structure as well as updating process is obtained. An existing bridge is applied for illustrating the influence of inspection cost on the behaviors of structure. Subsequently, the benefit of inspection has shown to predict the time to failure of structure.

  • 지금까지의 전차선 검측 시스템은 검측차량을 이용하여 검사구간을 주행 한 후 결과를 산출하였다. 이것은 아열대기후로의 변화에 인한 자연 환경의 급변과 450Km/h급 고속철도 차량의 등장으로 변화가 요구된다. 이에 고속 주행환경과 노반정보를 반영하는 융합 가변형 전차선 검측시스템의 구조를 연구하였다. 기존의 시스템은 전차선에 한정하여 마모의 정도를 판단하였다. 이에 비해 본 논문에서는 검지를 위하여 참조하는 정보를 검측대상의 영상정보에 추가하여 음향정보를 융합하였고, 지형정보에 따라 검지빈도와 정밀도를 가변적으로 적용함으로써 시설물 검측에 대한 기본적인 모델을 제안하였다.

  • Structure safety inspection is executing periodically to apply with maintenance data of the structure. Because of the location of structure is appearing by measuring point and picture in the subway. It is difficult to track the accurate location of the inspected structure. Purpose of this paper is computerizing location and attribute of construction and searching efficiency by GIS.

  • The personal-computer software program named SAMS(Structural Aging Management System) was developed for the concrete structure of NPP(Nuclear Power Plant). SAMS is constituted of three part, detabase system containing various inspection data, operation program for standard input/output of the inspection data, and application program for efficient operation of database system. Using the SAMS, the field engineers can easily acquire the information about the various inspection data, repair and accidental histories of NPP structures. SAMS will contribute to the effcient maintenance of NPP structures.

  • In general, a two-dimensional platform were used to manage the structural inspection information. But we performed a study on utilizing 3D model to input and display the information of structure inspection. Coarse and Fine model of structure were used to input the information. 3D model combined with database built from record plan and field inspections data and rating will provide more intuitive and effective environment for inspectors in bridge maintenance.
