  • The electric vehicle market is developing rapidly around the world. Also, parts of electric vehicles require precision. In order to produce high-precision motor cores,Press equipment must also have good precision. Drive motor cores are an important technology for electric vehicles. It uses a large high-speed press to mass-produce drive motor cores. Because it's a large high-speed press, there are many reasons why the precision is not good. One of the causes is vibration and noise. Recently, as environmental demands have become stricter, regulations on noise and vibration have been strengthened. It is important for press machines to reduce vibration first for sound insulation and dust proofing. This is because the "breakthrough" phenomenon occurs in the press. Dynamic precision is the precision under the load of the press, Design considering strain and stiffness shall be made. Vibration and noise may occur due to SPM of high-speed press,And vibration and noise can cause structural deformation of the press. Structural deformation of the press can affect the precision of the product.Noise and vibration also cause problems for workers and work environments. Problems with vibration and noise occur during press processing, and vibration and noise lead to damage to the mold or defects in the product. Reliability in high-quality technology must be secured with low noise and low vibration during press processing. Modular shape and deformation energy effects were analyzed through finite element analysis. In this study, a study on vibration and noise countermeasures was conducted through finite element analysis of a large high-speed press.

  • This paper deals with structural analysis and vibration characteristics of scaffolding structures with a hoist according to payloads. In order to analyze the vibrational and structural characteristics for 20-step scaffolding structure, structural and vibrational characteristics for 2-step scaffolding structure were compared with some experimental results. The numerical results for natural frequencies of scaffolding structures have a good agreement with experimental ones. Through the numerical analysis, firstly, it is shown that the maximum stress of scaffolding structures is lower than von-mises yield criteria when four persons with total weight of 280 kgf are working at the top of the scaffolding structures. Secondly, vibration characteristics including natural frequencies and modes for scaffolding structures are shown in case of various kinds of moving masses.

  • An acoustic finite element model of a bridge is developed to evaluate the noise generated by the traffic-induced vibration of the bridge. The dynamic response of a multi-girder bridge, modeled by a 3-dimensional frame element model, is analyzed with a 3-axle 8 DOFs truck model and a 5-axle 13 DOFs semi-trailer. The flat plate element is used to analyze the acoustic pressure due to the fluid-structure interactions between the vibrating surface and contiguous acoustic fluid medium. The radiation fields of noise with a specified distribution of vibrating velocity and pressure on the structural surface are also computed using the Kirchhoff-Helmholtz integral. Although the noise produced by the bridge vibration is not serious in itself, which is below the audible frequency range, it should be considered as an interaction problem between vehicle noise and bridge vibration noise in order to evaluate the traffic noise around the bridge.

  • An acoustic finite element model of a bridge is developed to evaluate the noise generated by the traffic-induced vibration of the bridge. The dynamic response of a multi-girder bridge, modeled by a 3-dimensional frame element model, is analyzed with a 3-axle(8DOF) truck model and a 5-axle(l3DOF) semi-trailer. In an attempt to illustrate the influence of the structural vibration noise of a bridge to total noise level around the bridge, the random function is used to generate the vehicle noise source including the engine noise and the rolling noise interacting between the road and tire. Among the diverse parameters affecting the dynamic response of bridge, the vehicle velocity, the vehicle weight, the spatial distribution of the road surface roughness, the stiffness degradation of the bridge and the variation of the air temperature changing the air density are found to be the main factors that increase the level of vibration noise. Consequently, The amplification rate of noise increases with the traveling speed and the vehicle weight.

  • On the basis of the development of KSLV-1, KoDSat was designed and manufactured to demonstrate the performance of KSLV-1. KoDSat is exposed to a severe vibrational environment at launch. The structural reliability of KoDSat has to be verified using vibrational test. The structural compatibility and verification of components between analysis and test can be proved using environmental vibration test. In this paper, we review the structural characteristic of thruster control unit for a space launch vehicle and design TCU housing using mathematical model. In order to verify the structural compatibility and reliability, half-sine shock, random and sing sweep vibration test was performed. Especially, sing sweep vibration test result is compared with analysis result and mathematical model is verified.

  • The structural integrity of APR1400 reactor vessel internals has been being assessed referring the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulatory guide 1.20 comprehensive vibration assessment program. The program is composed of a vibration and stress analysis, a limited vibration measurement, and an inspection. This paper covers the vibration and stress analysis on the reactor vessel internals due to the pulsation of reactor coolant pump. 3-dimensional models to calculate the hydraulic loads and structural responses were built and the pressure distributions and the structural responses were predicted using ANSYS. The peak stress of the reactor vessel internals is much lower than the acceptance limit.

  • A research to maximize the force transmitted from a vibration motor at the vibration mode, installed in the cellular phone jig, is presented in this study. When the natural frequencies corresponding to the structural vibration modes of the set exist within the range of the driving frequencies acquired by changing the RPM of the vibration motor, the structural vibration resonance is applicable to maximization of the vibration force sensible to the human body such as hands, arms, and hips. The analytical modal analysis using the Finite Elements and the experimental modal testing for the set jig were performed in order to understand the structural modes and the corresponding frequencies. Then the dynamic responses of the set jig to the given driving frequency were measured and the results on maximizing the vibration were confirmed by the FEM dynamic simulation.

  • Structural vibrations of adjacent buildings, manufacturing factories and engines on the stationary diesel power plant were increased by the variation of phase angle between two engines sometimes. In this paper, top bracings and synchrophaser have been introduced in order to reduce these vibrations. As a result, all of structural vibrations were greatly improved by the phase adjustment of 6th order X-mode vibration with these.

  • In this paper, reactive shearing structural intensity method is extended to damping patches placement on outer panels of outdoor unit of air-conditioner to reduce its structural borne noise. The structural intensity is calculated from the normal velocities of structures that are measured by using a laser scanning vibrometer, and $textsc{k}$-space (wave-number domain) signal processing is used to obtain the spatial derivatives in formulation of structural intensity. This method is applied to the outdoor unit of air-conditioner on shaker-exciting mode and operating mode. and then damping patches are placed over area of high reactive shearing structural intensity for reducing the radiated noise. Experimental results show the largest reduction of sound pressure level of an outdoor unit by appling small damping patches to optimal position.

  • Sensitivity analysis and structural modification technique are used to reduce the interior noise of a passenger car. The sensitivity analysis for the noise level at the rear seat shows that the stiffness change at the front lower member and the rear roof rail are sensitive. Using the structural modification method, we verified that the reinforcements at those members decrease the noise transfer function from the body to the rear seat. The combined application of the sensitivity analysis and structural modification method can decrease the noise level effectively.
