Due to many advantages of advanced composite material, research on the composite compression member is initiated. In this paper structural characteristics of concrete filled glass fiber reinforced composite tubular member si studied. Experimental results shows that strength and ductility of composite compression member is considerably increased due to concrete confinement action of composite surface. Thus it can be anticipated that increased strength of concrete will be incorporated in the design of composite compression member.
One of the most important factors for a proper design of a slender compression member may be the exact determination of the elastic critical load of that member. In the cases of non-prismatic compression member, however, there are times when the exact critical load becomes impossible to determinate if one relies on the neutral equilibrium method or energy principle. Here in this paper, the approximate critical loads of symmetrically or non-symmetrically tapered members are computed by finite element method. The two parameters considered in this numerical analysis are the taper parameter, $\alpha$ and the sectional property parameters, m. The computed results for each sectional property parameter, m are presented in an algebraic equation which agrees with those by F.E.M The algebraic equation can be easily used by structural engineers, who are engaged in structural analysis and design of non-prismatic compression member.
CFRP of the advanced composite materials as structure materials for vehicles has a widely application in lightweight structural materials of air planes, ships and automobiles because of high strength and stiffness compared with conventional materials. This study is to investigate the energy absorption characteristics and collapse mode of CFRP single and double hat shaped structural member under the axial static collapse test. The CFRP single and double hat shaped structural members stacked at different angles (${\pm}15^{\circ}$, ${\pm}45^{\circ}$, ${\pm}90^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}/0^{\circ}$ and $0^{\circ}/90^{\circ}$ where the direction on $0^{\circ}$ coincides with the axis of the member). The axial static collapse tests were carried out for each member. Collapse mode and energy absorption characteristics of the each member were analyzed.
When concrete is confined triaxially, its strength and toughness are enhanced. Hoop reinforcements or transverse reinforcements laterally confine concrete in the case of a RC member and an outer tube confines concrete in a CFT(Concrete Filled Tube) member. But biaxially confined concrete. such as concrete in a hollow R.C member, does not have much enhanced strength and toughness. In this study, a new-type member. which is a hollow CFT member named as an ICH(Internally Confined Hollow) CFT member, was developed to overcome the low ductility of the hollow member and the high cost of the CFT member. A material nonlinear model for the concrete in an CFT member or an ICH CFT member was developed and coded as a computer program based on Mander's concrete model. Analysis results were verified with experimental results and the developed analysis model showed reasonable and accurate results.
최근 들어 한옥에 대한 수요과 공급이 계속해서 늘고 있다. 이러한 한옥이 가지고 있는 가장 심각한 문제는 과도한 지붕구조의 무게와 이로 인해 늘어날 수밖에 없는 구조부재의 대형화이다. 따라서 겉으로는 대단면 목재 부재이면서 다량의 목질부를 제거하여 무게의 경량화를 이루고 감소하는 강도적 성질은 부재의 하이브리드화를 통해 보충할 수 있는 실대재 대단면 스킨팀버를 제작하였다. 소나무와 낙엽송 두 수종을 사용하여 실대재 스킨팀버를 제작하였다. 두 수종에 대해 정각형 스킨팀버와 원통형 스킨팀버 각각을 제작하여 휨성능을 평가하였다. 가공기계의 정밀도 부족으로 인해 부재에 과도한 손상이 발생하여 의도한 정도의 강도적 성질을 얻지 못하였다. 하지만 가공기계의 정밀도 향상을 도모하고 추가적인 하이브리드 구조체 제작을 첨가한다면 경량의 대단면 구조부재의 생산이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서 실제 제작한 낙엽송과 소나무 실대재 스킨팀버에서는 수종간의 휨성능 차이는 나타나지 않아 적절히 혼용 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 낙엽송의 MOR 기준에서만 정각형과 원통형간에 성능 차이가 인정되어 구분하여 사용해야 할 필요가 있고 나머지에 있어서는 차이가 인정되지 않아 혼용이 가능하다고 판단되었다. 본 연구의 목적이 어느 정도의 강도를 지닌 경량의 대단면 구조재 개발에 있으므로 목질계 우드세라믹이나 경량철골 등을 이용한 하이브리드 구조체를 개발한다면 한옥이나 실내인테리어재료 그리고 기둥-보 공법의 재료 등으로 활용 가능할 것이다.
Permanent-Form is one of system forms for reducing human labor, work costs, oscillation, noise, construction wastes and so on. Permanent-Form is made from precast method in facilities. and carried in construction site to assemble with no demolding. The biggest expense to produce Permanent-Form is about manufacturing mold. To satisfy various size of building member, the same number of manufacturing mold is needed. In this paper, studied about manufacturing mold module for acquiring economic merit and construction member safety. Permanent-Form is member stress and structural analyzed if temporary equipment were used. The result of this study is below. (1) Column sizes of Permanent-Form are 47 kinds of prototype that based on Modular coordination's basic module. 4 pieces or 6 pieces are composed basically. (2) For beam size modular coordination, standard height and width of beam are 150mm and 100mm. It brings 24 kinds of prototype. 4 pieces or 5 pieces are composed basically. (3) Structural analysis value of modular member is like this Column member shows 9.4 to 85kgf/$cm^{2}$ stress distribution and beam member shows 6.3 to 95kgf/$cm^{2}$ stress distribution. The development of Reinforced Concrete member design modules is necessary for user to design structures easily. The purpose of this paper is to be available for a integrated system used structure design. This module is linked with central database for the benefit of minimizing time of design and user's efforts. In order to minimize memory space, all of data is stored in central database. Member design modules applied Object-Oriented concepts are possible to be reusible, flexible for member functions in classes. This modules can be operated both independent member design modules and a part of integrated system. Sooner or later, this modules will be related to member grouping modules by data.
As the slenderness ratio increases, it is necessary to examine the increased sectional area of member by means of increasing buckling strength because the sectional area of compressive member is designed in accordance with buckling. In this reason tn reinforce insufficient strength it don not have to reinforce the whole sectional area of member. Force of member can be increased in a way to restrict buckling mode by means of the partially increased sectional area of member. Therefore, in this study, we put emphasis on compressive members among many members that constitute space frame and try to get basic data about the reinforcement of space frame by means of investigating the bucking characteristic according to the size and length of partially increased sectional area of member.
Behavior of saw-dust concrete has not studied because many people have thought that saw-dust concrete cannot be applicable for structural member, up to now. This study is to findout how much the concrete can be structurally applicated. 5mm grid sieve was used to select satisfactory sawdust for better concrete quality. Test molds size of ${\phi}10{\times}20cm$ long were made of normal without sawdust, 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, 1.0%, 1.2%, 1.4%, 1.6%, 1.8% 2.0%, for making concrete strengh of 180kg, 210kg, 240kg, 270kg which they are normally used in practice presently. A various strengths tests such as compressive splitting tensile, flexible strength behavior of structural member named beam using size of $20{\times}30{\times}120cm$ have been done for the structural aspects. Tensile strength shows that it can be more affected than higher strength of it.
The single layer latticed domes have attracted many designers and researchers's attention all of the world, because these structures as spatial structure are of great advantage in not only mechanical rationality but also function, fabrication, construction and economic aspect. But single layer latticed domes are apt to occur the unstable phenomena that are called "buckling" because of the lack of strength of members, instability of structural shape, etc. In the case of latticed dome, there are several types of buckling mode such as overall buckling, local buckling, and member buckling according to the shape of dome, section type of member, the size of member, junction's condition of member and so on. There are many methods to increase the buckling strength of the single layer latticed dome, that is, with the change of geometrical shape of dome, the reinforcement of buckled member, etc. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to verify the reinforcement effect of buckled member when designers reinforce the buckled member to increase the buckling strength of single layer latticed dome with 3-way grid.
