치수 불확실성이 고려된 군용 통신 장비의 신뢰성 기반 최적설계 (The Reliability-based Design Optimization for the Military Communication Equipment considering the Dimension Uncertainty)

  • The military communication equipment is required the high reliability for operating adequate functions under severe conditions. This reliability is the essential element for the quality of the product, for the uncontrolled factors, such as the clearance, damage of the material, the reduction of stiffness, which are the designer is unable to handle. In this paper, the uncertainty for the dimension was supposed to the probability model for the military communication equipment, and the average of the objective function was minimized for reducing design uncertainty. The reliability-based design optimization which was implemented the limit state function was formulated into the mathematical model, so the reliable optimized structure was implemented than the base-line design.

Free vibration analysis of asymmetric shear wall-frame buildings using modified finite element-transfer matrix method

  • In this study, the modified finite element- transfer matrix methods are proposed for free vibration analysis of asymmetric structures, the bearing system of which consists of shear wall-frames. In the study, a multi-storey structure is divided into as many elements as the number of storeys and storey masses are influenced as separated at alignments of storeys. The shear walls and frames are assumed to be flexural and shear cantilever beam structures. The storey stiffness matrix is obtained by formulating the governing equation at the center of mass for the shear walls and the frames in the i.th floor. The system transfer matrix is constructed in the dimension of $6{\times}6$ by transforming the obtained stiffness matrix. Thus, the dimension, which is $12n{\times}12n$ in classical finite elements, is reduced to the dimension of $6{\times}6$. To study the suitability of the method, the results are assessed by solving two examples taken from the literature.

프랙탈 차원에 의한 소자 표면의 정량화 분석 (Quantification Analysis of Element Surface by Fractal Dimension)

  • 표면의 고해상도 이미지는 나노(nano)사이즈 부터 마이크로미터까지 특정한 크기를 갖는 기공이나 형상에 대한 자세한 정보를 제공한다. 그러나 표면의 고해상도 이미지로 부터 기공이나 형상에 대한 효율적인 연관성을 결정하는 것은 아직 확실하지 않다. 기공이나 형상의 효율적 연관성을 위하여 소자의 표면특성은 SEM 사진을 촬영하고 이미지를 이진화하여 프랙탈 차원으로 고찰하였다. 소자의 표면 분석을 위하여 프랙탈 프로그램은 직접 코딩하였다. 소자 표면 특성과 전기적 특성은 프랙탈 차원과 연관성이 있을 것으로 생각된다. 프랙탈 차원은 내부 기공의 증가와 더불어 감소하였다. 소자 표면의 구조적 특성인 입자의 밀도와 입계는 프랙탈 차원과 연관이 있었다. 입자의 크기는 프랙탈 차원의 증가와 더불어 감소하였으며 균일하게 형성되었다. 입자가 균일하게 형성되면 기공이 적게 존재하여 프랙탈 차원이 증가하였다.

2:1 삼팔면체 점토광물의 기하학적 구조모델 (A Geometrical Structural Model of 2:1 Trioctahedral Clay Minerals)

  • This study introduces a new structural model of 1M 2:1 trioctahedral clay minerals or, more generally, 2:1 trioctahedral phyllosilicates. The structural model requires only the chemical formulae of the clay minerals as an input and uses the regression relation (Radoslovich, 1962) to calculate the a- and b-dimensions of the phyllosilicates with the given chemical formulae. The atomic coordinates of the constituent atoms are geometrically calculated for C2/m space group under the assumption that the interatomic distances are constant. To determine the c-dimension, this study calculates the binding energies of 1M 2:1 trioctahedral phyllosilicates as a function of d(001) and find the minimum energy producing d(001). The structural model generates the cell dimensions, interaxial angles, interatomic distances, octahedral, tetrahedral and interlayer thickness, polyhedron deformation angles and atomic coordinates in the unit cell. The simulated structural parameters of phlogopite and annite are very close to the reported data by Hazen and Burnham (1973), suggesting that the structure simulation using only the chemical formule is successful, and thus, that the structural model of this study overcomes the difficulties in the previous models by other investigators.

  • In ancient times, architectural design was seen as a critical task in building technologies. Specifically, form, dimension and structural design are of significant. These aspects are associated with each other and to be emerged as a whole. Designing plan dimension was deemed to be the core of design technology due to its close relationship with module system. Thus, its evolution as well as development process typically represents and reflects the spirits and contents of design technologies in ancient China. In China, the materials regarding ancient architectural technology include Yingzaofashi(營造法式) of Song Dynasty and Gongchengzuofazeli(工程做法則例) of Qing Dynasty. They show many aspects concerning materials, structure, scale system and building. In Yingzaofashi, although the length of objects are decided by 'cai(材)' and 'fen(分)', there are no regulations on length, width and height of a building. However, in the construction of ancient buildings, the above mentioned basic scales are very important in both design and construction. The present paper attempts to discuss the significance, namely, the design principles of length, with and height of ancient chinese architecture.

Application of fractals to study the corroded reinforced concrete beam

  • This paper is focused on fractal analysis of the surface cracking, a new tool for safety evaluation of corroded reinforced concrete (RC) beams. Comprehensive experimental investigations, including flexural tests, coupon tests on strength evaluation of corroded concrete and rusty rebar, and pullout tests to determine bond strength between concrete and rebar were carried out on nine Corroded Reinforced Concrete Beams (CRCB) exposed to an aggressive environment for more than 10 years. In combination with test results from a previous study on CRCBs fabricated in the laboratory from accelerated methods, it is found that, for both types of beams, the surface cracking distributions are fractal in character at loading and failure stages. Fractal dimension is calculated for all specimens at different corrosion states based on fractal analysis method. Relationships between the fractal dimension and mechanical properties of corroded concrete, rebar corrosion ratio, and ductility of CRCBs are discussed in detail. It is concluded that the fractal dimension can act as a damage index and can be efficiently used to describe the corrosion state of CRCBs.

The Effect of Application of Non-Financial Dimensions of Balanced Scorecard on Performance Evaluation: An Empirical Study from Saudi Arabia

  • The study applied the non-financial dimensions of the Balanced Scorecard (customer dimension, internal processes dimension, learning, and growth dimension). It was done to evaluate performance and measure the effectiveness of these dimensions on performance evaluation at College of Science and Humanities Studies: Al Aflaj, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University. The researchers used the descriptive analytical approach to conduct the study to find the effect of these dimensions. Data was collected from the college staff and administrators; 120 questionnaires were distributed, out of which 112 were collected. The questionnaire data were analyzed using exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), hypotheses were tested using the structural equation modeling (SEM) through the (Spss) and (Amos) software. The study finding showed that the balanced scorecard had a positive contribution in evaluating the performance of the College of Science and Humanities Studies: Al Aflaj, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University through the dimensions of customers and internal processes, and the study finding revealed that the balanced scorecard has no contribution at performance evaluating the College of Science and Humanities Studies: Al Aflaj, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University through the dimension of learning and growth.

노인부양의 변화과정에 대한 생애사적 재구성 - 농촌노인의 관점을 중심으로 - (A Biographical Reconstruction of the Process Involving Changes in Elderly Support: From the Perspective of the Rural Elderly)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 현대화과정에서 나타나는 노인부양의 변화과정을 농촌노인의 관점에서 재구성하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 6쌍의 노인부부와 3차례에 걸쳐 Schütze의 '생애사적-이야기식 인터뷰' 17개를 하였고, 분석도 그의 '생애사적-이야기식 인터뷰 분석' 방법에 따라 하였다. 연구결과, 본 '생애사주체들'이 경험한 노인부양은 '가족부양'이 주를 이루는데, 현대화과정을 거치면서 '이중적으로 구조전환'된 것으로 나타났다. 즉 한편으로는 '세대 간 상호부양 차원의 가족부양'이 '세대 내 자기부양 차원의 가족부양'으로 변환되는 '내적 구조전환'이, 다른 한편으로는 '가족부양의 사회화'가 이루어지는 '외적 구조전환'이 나타났다는 것이다. 또한 이러한 '이중적 구조전환' 과정에서 나타난 부양규범과 부양행위는 '괴리'를 이루고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, '이중적 구조전환'에 대한 인식은 '양가적'으로 나타나고 있음을 분석하였다. 이러한 연구결과에 근거하여 현대화이론에 대한 비판적 논의를 하였고, 노인부양을 위한 실천적 함의도 제시하였다.

사회적 자본이 이직의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 조직지원인식의 조절효과를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Influence of Social Capital on the Turnover Intention - Focusing on the Moderating Effect of Organizational Support Recognition -)

  • 최근 기업에서는 지속적 경쟁우위를 확보하기 위해 조직 구성원들 간의 네트워크와 신뢰에 의해서 형성되는 사회적 자본을 중시하고 있다. 사회적 자본은 조직 내 다차원적인 요인들과의 상호작용을 통해 구성원들의 적응과 몰입을 유도하고, 의사소통 및 참여의 통로로서 협력적 행동을 유발하여 조직성과를 높이는데 기여한다. 본 연구는 조직 내 형성되어 있는 사회적 자본과 조직지원인식이 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며 나아가 사회적 자본과 이직의도와의 관계에서 조직지원인식의 조절효과를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 부산 경남 소재 중소 제조업체를 중심으로 설문을 실시하고 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하여 실증 분석하였다. 실증 분석결과, 첫째, 사회적 자본의 구조적 차원과 관계적 차원이 이직의도에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 관계적 차원이 이직의도에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 조직 내 구성원들 간의 상호작용을 통한 신뢰형성이 중요함을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 조직지원인식이 이직의도에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 구성원 개개인들에게 조직차원의 관심과 전폭적 지원이 필요함을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 조직지원인식이 사회적 자본과 이직의도 사이의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 조직지원인식이 높을수록 사회적 자본의 관계적 차원만이 이직의도에 미치는 부(-)의 영향이 더욱 낮게 나타나는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 분석결과를 근거로 본 연구의 이론적 실무적 시사점과 향후연구 과제에 대하여 논의하였다.

  • A new method for the vibration analysis of arbitrarily-shaped beams is proposed on the assumption of imaginary seperation of the beams into prismatic beams and the remaining portions. The stiffness and mass of the beams are devided into two portions according to the seperation. Applying the mode shapes of prismatic beams and Lagrange's equations give new characteristics equation. This equation has a low dimension of matrix with the coupling terms showing the effect of remaining portions on the vibration of arbitrarily-shaped beams
