  • A variation of pore structure of shotcrete matrix was experimented by Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry, and the relation with compressive strength was also examined. As a result of the Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry(MIP) test, RM-P1 Batch the macropore diameter of the RM-BFS2 and RM-BFS3 Batch than to have a relatively macropore can see a lot of long-term durability performance degradation. Also, K and N Batch the current is applied to the mine if the factors on shotcrete durability performance of the macropore volume of the entire appears to be a long-term durability performance in the fall.

  • The RC buildings which are constructed on the seaside are followed by KBC(2016) to achieve the minimization of durability damage. To control the corrosion of the reinforced steel bar by salt attack, W/C should be under 0.4 and specified concrete strength is more than 35MPa in the concrete/building construction standard specification. Ready mixed concretes which have usually include the admixtures in Busan were tested to certify the salt attack durability. In the same specified concrete strength, remarkable salt attack durability was evaluated in comparison to OPC.

  • In order to secure the safety of power steering system, it is necessary to perform the strength and the fatigue analysis of pulley in this paper. The applied stress distribution of the pulley subject to combined loads condition was obtained using finite element analysis. Based on these results, the fatigue life of the pulley with the variation of the fatigue strength was evaluated using durability analysis simulator. The optimal hole size to improved the safety of the pulley was investigated using parametric study. Moreover, the predicted fatigue life cycle with the simulator was verified by experimental tests.

시트 하이트 모터 기어의 각도별 내구성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Durability of Seat Height Motor Gear by Angle)

  • In this study, structural and fatigue analyses of the motor gears that control the height of car seat were carried out at angles of $10^{\circ}$, $20^{\circ}$, and $30^{\circ}$. The study aims at examining which angle of the gear is superior in terms of effect on strength. In the structural and fatigue analyses, the force of 3136 N was applied to the gears, and the stress and deformation were obtained. As the analysis results, model B ($30^{\circ}$) is suggested to have the best strength and fatigue durability among the three models.

  • Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) durability analysis and experiments of an aluminum alloy brake pedal were carried out for the car lighter by die casting method. In the CAE analysis, KS standards and criteria of the Volvo Car Corporation were applied, and in the experiment, KS standards were applied. The CAE analysis results show that aluminum alloy brake pedals are stronger than the conventional steel brakes pedals because the yield strength of the aluminum alloy increased by almost 97% over that of steel. Further, the structures of the cylinder and the frame were reinforced with increasing thickness of flame and were changed to suit the die-casting process. Through a durability test based on the KS standard, the strength of a prototype of the aluminum alloy brake pedal was confirmed to be sufficient.

The study on the effect of calcium chloride deicing agent and concrete compressive strength on scaling

  • This experimental study investigated the durability degradation of concrete exposed to freezing and thawing and chloride intrusion. In order to observe the degree of the degradation, 24 MPa, 35 MPa and 60 MPa concretes were used with 4% and 12% calcium chloride solution as freezing water for scaling resistance and freeze - thaw resistance tests. The results show that 24 MPa and 35 MPa concrete had a relatively large decrease in durability due to the freeze-thaw resistance and scaling resistance, but the 60 MPa concrete was not deteriorated significantly. In addition, when the concentration of the solution of calcium chloride was 4%, the degradation of durability was most remarkable. The results of this study suggest when concrete structures such as bridges or roads expose to the environmental conditions, appropriate measures such as increasing the designed standard strength of concrete need to be deliberated and additional studies should be conducted.

  • Recently, the interminable ozone depletion and the global warming concerns has led to construction industries to seek for construction materials which are eco-friendly. Regarding this, Geopolymer Concrete (GPC) is getting great interest from researchers and scientists, since it can operate by-product waste to replace cement which can lead to the reduction of greenhouse gas emission through its production. Also, compared to ordinary concrete, geopolymer concrete belongs improved mechanical and durability properties. In spite of its positive properties, the practical use of geopolymer concrete is currently limited. This is primarily owing to the scarce structural, design and application knowledge. This study investigates the Mechanical and Durability of Geopolymer Concrete Containing Fibers and Recycled Aggregate. Mixtures of elastoplastic fiber reinforced geopolymer concrete with partial replacement of recycled coarse aggregate in different proportions of 10, 20, 30, and 40% with natural aggregate were fabricated. On the other hand, geopolymer concrete of 100% natural aggregate was prepared as a control specimen. To consider both strength and durability properties and to evaluate the combined effect of recycled coarse aggregate and elastoplastic fiber, an elastoplastic fiber with the ratio of 0.4% and 0.8% were incorporated. The highest compressive strength achieved was 35 MPa when the incorporation of recycled aggregates was 10% with the inclusion of 0.4% elastoplastic fiber. From the result, it was noticed that incorporation of 10% recycled aggregate with 0.8% of the elastoplastic fiber is the perfect combination that can give a GPC having enhanced tensile strength. When specimens exposed to freezing-thawing condition, the physical appearance, compressive strength, weight loss, and ultrasonic pulse velocity of the samples was investigated. In general, all specimens tested performed resistance to freezing thawing. the obtained results indicated that combination of recycled aggregate and elastoplastic fiber up to some extent could be achieved a geopolymer concrete that can replace conventional concrete.

황토 콘크리트의 배합조건에 따른 강도성상 및 내구성 (Characteristics of Strength and Durability of Hwangto-Concrete according to its Mixing Condition)

  • The purpose of this study is to increase the use of Hwangto and examine the strength according to what it is compounded with. Hwangto-concrete containing Hwanto without cement nor organic chemical products were compared to the traditional cement concrete through some durability experiments. We expect to gain more knowledge on the potentials of Hwangto-concrete as an architectural source. 1) As Hwangto binder amount rises, the value of slump increases too. The reason is that the increase of the quantity of cement causes the increase of the amount of material and the decrease of the amount of aggregate. 2) When the mixed component into Hwangto-concrete remains at 2%, the compress strength is generally dispersed high along the per unit fission, in case the amount of which is at $400(g/m^3)$. The highest compress strength is 39MPa. It means that it can be applied to common structures and we need to conduct a basic property test to ensure the strength and fluidness. 3) Hwangto-concrete is expected to be highly used in the ocean structure and chemical industry because it has better resistance to sulfuric acid and to hydrochloric acid than the cement-concrete has. The result of this study is as follows. It is expected that Hwangto-concrete will be widely applied and further research on its durability and tests for its basic substantial characteristics based on future component added to it.

로워암 리브 두께에 따른 구조 강도 해석 (Structural Strength Analysis due to Rib Thickness of Lower Arm)

  • This study investigates the structural strength analysis due to rib thickness of lower arm. At structural analysis, model 1 has the most deformation by comparing three models. As most equivalent stress is shown at the part connected with wheel knuckle, the strength becomes weaker in cases of three models. At fatigue analysis, model 1 becomes most unstabilized among three models. Model 3 has most fatigue life and the next model is model 2. The range of maximum harmonic response frequencies becomes 140 to 175Hz in cases of three models. Because the critical frequency at model 3 becomes highest among three models but the stress exceeds yield stress, model 3 becomes most unstabilized at vibration durability. As models 1 and 2 has less than yield stress, these models become stabilized. Model 2 becomes most favorable by comparing three models at structural, fatigue and vibration analyses. This study result can be effectively utilized with the design of lower arm by investigating prevention against damage and its strength durability.

마이크로 복합실리카 그라우트의 공학적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Engineering Properties of Micro Fine Hybrid Silicate Based Grout)

  • In 1925, H.J. Joosten was the first in the world to use chemical injection grouts composed of sodium silicate and calcium chloride. This unique development prompted the introduction of other chemical grouting techniques. Among these chemical grouting techniques, sodium silicate based grout has been the most widely used in the world, but it has not been generally considered to be a permanent material. Therefore, studies to improve the weak points of sodium silicate based grout have been conducted, and new applications of grout were recently developed. We also developed the micro fine hybrid silicate grout of suspention type which properties are sepecialized as the high strength and durability, according to the reactant of special sodium silicate grout and the high strength hardener. As the results of this study we could derive the 2 times over high strength of Micro fine hybrid Silicate grouting method(MS method) more than that of the ordinary sodium silicate grout. And also we could confirm that the alkali leakage of micro fine hybrid silicate grout is less than that of ordinary sodium silicate grout. So we could get the high strength and durability of hybrid silicate grout are superior to those of ordinary sodium silicate grout.
