Tropical forests whether fragmented or undisturbed or be they equatorial or deciduous, remain the storehouse of biodiversity for hundreds of thousands of plant and animal species. This unique characteristic continues to attract a wide range of scientists and international organizations to study and attempt to understand tropical forest ecosystems. Gene flow is mediated by pollen, seed and seedling dispersal, and factors affecting this gene flow include phenology, spatial distribution, population structures, seed predation, sexual and mating systems as well as physical and biological barriers to gene flow. Two methods are used in measuring gene flow: direct method that relies on the actual observation of seed and pollen dispersal, whereas indirect methods involve the use of genetic markers such as allozymes and DNA techniques. Political strife, extreme natural and artificial disasters, the lack of a comprehensive forestry research vision, coupled with difficult socio-economic conditions in Africa have made the environment quite difficult for sustained research activities on the part of those undertaking or wishing to undertake such studies. Gene flow studies in this region are few and far between. This review elaborates on the mechanisms of gene flow mediation in Sub-Saharan Africa.

It is an important means of expressing oneself and is affected by the social and cultural environment, too. People are creating another new lower culture, it's Sub Culture, that is, their own unique new fashion through the coordination status of a lower culture and its components to reveal the visual symbol of such garments and body decorations most clearly. The Punk formed as an reaction to 1960's hippie appeared as the most unpleasant image to the established generations with their ultimate resisting action and new aesthetic-consciousness. Their coordination by the use of the disorder and stimulative tool which gives abhorrence appears again as Cyber Punk being influenced by optical art and multimedia in '90s. It can be seen that the form of lower culture mentioned above became a storehouse of new fashion creation through the most nuclear role of lower culture and the unique characteristic coordination by age and that each lower culture fashion can become a style icon of new fashion through free coordination.

Community gardens with log house in rural areas as a rural growth tool are able to promote rural-urban exchange and adapt to current market mechanisms by means of communication and promotion techniques. It is important to know that what community garden's users seek for their benefits and demand for well-established and settled down. The primary purpose of this study was to examine the needs of dwellers to live their community gardens so as to provide a better understanding of community gardens in Korea. An open-ended questionnaire survey was obtained from ten householders on community gardens in the study area. The results show that there needs to establish facilities such as small storehouse for farming appliances and barbecue area, and to set up the regulation to control a loud talking and sing until late night. We suggest that the government supports to help dwellers consider their needs to be comfortable on their gardening plots.

The purpose of this paper is to overview a recent dispute of the library of the 21st century in Korea and to suggest a desirable model of the future library. There are two visions of the future of library. The first is an access based library model(digital library) emphasizing the digital resources that are networked and browsable electronically. The second is an ownership-based library model(paper library) which emphasize the use of traditional print collections stored locally and physically browsable. A points of dispute between the paper library as storehouse and the digital library as gateway are an electronic informations versus printed materials, access versus ownership, information professional versus librarians. The idea that library as physical place and as cyberspace are diametrically o n.0, pposed is a fallacy and surrealistic opinion. Future library has to acquire, organize, preserve, and make accessible the collections that users want and need. In other words, future libraries need both ownership and access. Access to remote electronic resources must serve as a reasonable substitute for holdings of older material. Therefore, it is a balanced solution that the more heavily used or important materials be considered for ownership and selective information resources for access. No doubt, the traditional library and the digital library will be coexist in the 21 century.

The purpose of this study was to provide the basic information to be helpful in establishing more rational prices discount strategy in prices discount advertising. The experiment design for study was a $3{\times}2{\times}3$ between subject factorial design in which the factors were discount presentation types(discount price presentation/discount rate presentation/discount price and discount rate presentation), existence of normal price presentation(presentation/ non-presentation) and semantic cues(regular sales/markdown on the previous season's product/storehouse opening sales). Thirty subjects were randomized in one of 18 experimental conditions. The subjects of this study were 540 female university students in Kwangju, Korea. The results were as follows; 1. Significant interaction effects between discount presentation types and the semantic cues were found in perceived transaction value(p<.01), perceived acquisition value(p<.05), and purchase intention(p<.05)- It means that discount presentation types in prices discount advertising need to present differently according to price discount types. 2. Significant interaction effects between existence of normal price and the semantic cues were not found. It means that normal price need to present in prices discount advertising regardless of price discount types.

강원도 지역은 산악이 많아 농업용수의 개발이 시급하며 연구대상 지역인 춘천시 신북지역은 소양댐 하부지역에 위치하면서 댐의 혜택을 보지 못하고 벼농사를 하고 있다. 특히 고랭지 야채를 개발하고 높은 수익을 올리기 위해서는 지하수와 연관된 지열을 개발하여 추운 겨울에도 보온을 할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하여야 한다. 국내의 지하수는 1960년대부터 농업용수를 위하여 연구되었고 최근에는 지하철, 원자력 발전소와 같은 지하구조물이나 핵폐기물, 유류 지하저장장소와 같은 대단위 지하공사에서도 재해 방지를 위한 지하수맥의 정확한 조사가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지하수 탐사를 위하여 전기탐사, 탄성파탐사, 지오레이더 탐사 등 복합탐사법을 적용하였다.

In this study, used Trnsys and will apply metropolitan city distinguishes, fixations and BIPV systems the photovoltaic module arrangement environment which receives solar radiation quantity plentifully from the case design process which and most the outcome value simulation did analyzed. The climate data uses each metropolitan city distinguishes 20 average weather data, With measured values of horizontal solar radiation. The error scope appeared with 0.1%~6.7%. Variable of module arrangement Azimuth and angle of inclination of module and comparison group Module on due south direction angle of inclination $45^{\circ}$ day time set with the yearly average solar radiation quantity which receives. The result When the case comparison group which arranges a solar storehouse module with optimum environment and comparing until the minimum 1.4% - maximum 10.9% the solar radiation quantity difference appears with the thing, metropolitan city distinguishes considers the case solar radiation quantity which will arrange a photovoltaic module and that must establish with optimum environment judges.

This study provides the basic resource for establishing the environment design policies around elementary school for the students and analyzes the actual pedestrian environment conditions of elementary school in order to improve safety of from crime for them. For this, the field survey are conducted on risk of from crime in 10 sidewalks of 5 elementary schoolin Ilsan new town. The result of this are the followings ;1) There are schools which have difference between the height of road and the height of pedestrian path. 2) There are schools which are insufficient distance for securing front sight because of shape of pedestrian path. 3) In entrance there are facilities interfering with natural surveillance within school boundaries such as stone written school motto, storehouse, wash room, doorpost. 4) In entrance there are schools with no security office, emergency bell and CCTV. 4) The openness in the bottom of fence is lower than that of upper because of shrubs and material of fence. 5) There are concealed places and cars in back gate area interfering with natural surveillance.

The objective of this paper is to propose rural housing planning guidelines by conducting a survey on the needs of the elderly people engaged in farming activities and looking into complaints about their houses targeting 120 people from 50s to 70s. The method employed was a survey with questionnaires. The survey results showed the needs of the elderly for the rural housing are different from those of general retired elderly people because they still engage in farming activities even if they grow old. The needs are as follows. First, the respondents show high preference for the foyer storage to store equipments and goods related to agriculture. Second, the respondents have needs for enough kitchen area accommodating their house work and rural life. Lastly, the respondents highly prefer well planned storehouses in the exterior. In addition, they also want the storehouses directly connected with the house because this plan can save their workforce. They recognize storehouses are the most poorly planned space in the rural house because of the unsatisfactory space area and interior space planning. These needs should be reflected on the planning of rural housing for the elderly engaged in farming activities.

Also, described about maximum transfer displacement characteristic, displacement response characteristic, hysteresis, response characteristic, smallest transfer step characteristic, actuator's drive characteristic that is manufactured to examination item of maximum consumption electric power by special quality estimation system that apply laser displacement sensor that produce itself to evaluate city manufactured actuator's special quality.
