  • This paper describes on the leakage inductance calculations of superconducting (s/c) tranformer. When s/c transformer quenches, the magnetic energy stored in the leakage inductance dissipates in the form of Joule heating. So, it is highly desired to estimate the leakage inductances of a s/c transformer as it is designed. In this paper, we calculated the leakage inductance of sic transformer, using zeroth and first order model, and the calculated results were compared with the measured ones. It shows that 1st order model is enough to estimate the leakage inductacne of s/c transformer.

Phase Model Analysis of Yeast Glycolytic Oscillation

  • The glycolysis is one of the most important metabolic reactions through which the glucose is broken and the released energy is stored in the form of ATP. Rhythmic oscillation of the intracellular ATP is observed as the amount of the influx glucose is small in the yeast. The oscillation is also observed in the population of the yeast cells, which implies that the glycolytic oscillation of the yeasts is synchronous. It is not clear how the synchronous oscillation could be organized among the yeast cells. Although detailed mathematical models are available that show synchronization of the glycolytic oscillation, the stability of the synchronous oscillation is not clear. We introduce a phase model analysis that reduces a higher dimensional mathematical model to a much simpler one dimensional phase model. Then, the stability of the synchronous oscillation is easily determined by the stability of the corresponding fixed solution in the phase model. The effect of perturbation on the oscillatory rhythm is also easily analyzed in the reduced phase model.

광 연상 기억 장치를 이용한 한글 문자 인식 (Korean Character Recognition Using Optical Associative Memory)

  • For distortion-invariant recognition of Korean characters, a holographic implementation of an optical associative memory system is proposed. The structure of the proposed system is a single-layer neural network employing interconneclion matrix, thresholding and feedback. To provide the interconnection matrix, we use two CGII's which are placed on intermcdiate plane of cascaded Vander Lugt corrclators to form an optical memory loop. The holographic correlator stores reference images in a hologram and retrives them in a coherently illuminated feedback loop. An input image which maybe noisy or incomplete, is applicd to the system and simultaneously correlated optically with all of the stord images. These correlations are throsholed and fed back to the input, where the strongest correlation reinforces the input image. The enhanced image passes arround the loop repeatedly, approaching the stored image more closely on each pass until the system stabilizes on the desired image. The computer simulation results show that the proposed Korean Character recognition algorithm has high discrimination capability and noise immunity.

고밀도 PLA의 자동 Layout System의 구성 (Automatic Layout of High Density PLA)

  • 고밀도 PLA(Programmable Logic Array) layout의 생성, 간소화 및 검증을 자동화한 일련의 유용프로그램을 개발하였다. 이에는 논리 함수로부터 진리표를 만들어 내는 프로그램. 논리 간소화 프로그램 PLA재배열 프로그랭. stick diagram을 그릴 구 있는 화일을 만들어 내는 프로그램, dynamic CMOS PLA의 layout 생성 프로그램, 그리고 bipartite row folded CMOS PLA layout 생성 프로그램이 포함된다. 크기의 최소화는 주로 논리 간소화 프로그램과 bipartlte row folding 프로그램에 의해수행되며, 최대지연시간은 재배열 프로그램에 의해 작아진다. 자동으로 생성된 layout에 대한 정보는 CIF(Caltach Int-ermidate Form)로 저장된다. 각 프로그램은 C언어로 작성되었으며, VAX-l1/750 (UNIX)에서 수행되었다.

  • This paper deals with the CMOS PLA Generator using CHISEL language. The program which plots a CMOS PLA alphanumeric layout automatically according to desired input functions and output functions has been developed. The program consists of procedures. These procedure are drawing a stick diagram with input data, converting any design rule, plotting a physical layout at IBM PC-AT with CIF input data. Physical layout information of dynamic CMOS PLA is stored CIF form. The CMOS PLA Generator is written in CHISEL which is layout language VLSI design tools and run on a VAX11/750 running UNIX.

  • Software copyright are written in text form of documents and stored as files, so it is easy to expose on an illegal copyright. The IOT framework configuration and service environment are also evaluated in software structure and revealed to replication environments. Illegal copyright can be easily created by intelligently modifying the program code in the framework system. This paper deals with similarity comparison to determine the suspicion of illegal copying. In general, original source code should be provided for similarity comparison on both. However, recently, the suspected developer have refused to provide the source code, and comparative evaluation are performed only with executable code. This study dealt with how to analyze the similarity with the execution code and the circuit configuration and interface state of the system without the original source code. In this paper, we propose a method of analyzing the data of the object without source code and verifying the similarity comparison result through evaluation examples.

Optimization of Layout Design in an AS/RS for Maximizing its Throughput Rate

  • In this paper, we address a layout design problem for determining a K-class-based dedicated storage layout in an automated storage retrieval system. K-class-based dedicated storage employs K zones in which lots from a class of products are stored randomly. Zones form a partition of storage locations. Our objective function is to minimize the expected single command travel time, which is expressed as a set function of space requirements for zones, average demand rates from classes, and one-way travel times from the pickup/deposit station to locations. We construct a heuristic algorithm based on analytical results and a local search method, the methodology deveolped can be used with easily-available data by warehouse planners to improve the throughput capacity of a conventional warehouse as well as an AS/RS.

Matching Algorithm for Hangul Recognition Based on PDA

  • Electronic Ink is a stored data in the form of the handwritten text or the script without converting it into ASCII by handwritten recognition on the pen-based computers and Personal Digital Assistants(PDA) for supporting natural and convenient data input. One of the most important issue is to search the electronic ink in order to use it. We proposed and implemented a script matching algorithm for the electronic ink. Proposed matching algorithm separated the input stroke into a set of primitive stroke using the curvature of the stroke curve. After determining the type of separated strokes, it produced a stroke feature vector. And then it calculated the distance between the stroke feature vector of input strokes and one of strokes in the database using the dynamic programming technique.

Application of Bootstrap Method to Primary Model of Microbial Food Quality Change

  • Bootstrap method, a computer-intensive statistical technique to estimate the distribution of a statistic was applied to deal with uncertainty and variability of the experimental data in stochastic prediction modeling of microbial growth on a chill-stored food. Three different bootstrapping methods for the curve-fitting to the microbial count data were compared in determining the parameters of Baranyi and Roberts growth model: nonlinear regression to static version function with resampling residuals onto all the experimental microbial count data; static version regression onto mean counts at sampling times; dynamic version fitting of differential equations onto the bootstrapped mean counts. All the methods outputted almost same mean values of the parameters with difference in their distribution. Parameter search according to the dynamic form of differential equations resulted in the largest distribution of the model parameters but produced the confidence interval of the predicted microbial count close to those of nonlinear regression of static equation.

  • GPS 위성은 측지위성으로 최근에 여러 분야의 민간용, 특히 자동차용 항법장치로 사용 되고 있다. GPS 위성으로 부터 얻어지는 위치정보와 디지탈 정보로 변환된 지도 정보를 결합하 여 자동차용 항법장치를 구성하였다. 이 논문에서는 이 시스템의 구현을 위한 서프트웨어의 작성 과 소프트웨어의 시험 예에 대하여 간단하게 요약한다.
