A Data Manager for a Vehicle Control System (이동체 통제 시스템을 위한 데이타 관리자)

  • A vehicle Control System that is a system combined by a Car Navigation System, a Geograhical Information System, and a Communication Network usually permit a central control room to detect vehicle's locations dynamically and manage these informations synthetically. Therefore, a vehicle control system can be used to control the rapid movement of patrol cars, freight transportation, and so on. In this paper, we designed and implemented a data manager for an application system, such as a vehicle control system, that usually manages road data, vehicle data, vehicle's location data, etc. The data manager that is implemented in this paper consists of system management module, road data management module, vehicle data management module, GPS(Global Positioning System) data management module, and additional data management module. Especially, we use the SHORE(Scalable Heterogeneous Object REpository) system as a storage system of the data manager.

  • 본 논문은 영상의 메타데이터를 RDF를 이용하여 표현, 저장하고, SPARQL을 이용하여 검색하는 솔루션을 구현하여, RDF와 SPARQL을 통한 멀티미디어 파일의 메타데이터 관리 방안을 제시한다. 솔루션은 Jena2 프레임워크 기반으로 구현하였으며, Controller, EXIF Extractor, Metadata Schema, RDF Generator, Repository Manager, SPARQL Executor의 모듈로 구성된다.

  • At present, a lot of researches on AS/RS(Automatic Storage and Retrival System) are being performed and also applied to realization of FA, FMS and CIM. Especially facility management and diagnosis of stacker crane that is major equipment of AS/RS, is recognized more importantly. In this paper, Case Base is designed for manager that is non-expert and it is implemented according to possible trouble case for the purpose of trouble diagnosis and maintenance of stacker crane.

  • 미디에이터 기반의 데이터베이스 통합 방법론에서 랩퍼는 미디에이터에게 지역 데이터베이스의 스키마들 전달해야 한다. 여기서는 지역 데이터베이스의 스키마를 XML 스키마로 변환하여 미디에이터에게 전달하는 랩퍼 시스템에서의 스키마 관리기에 대하여 논한다. 이를 위하여 관계형 모델의 지역 데이터베이스에서, 지역 데이터베이스 스키마를 XML 스키마로 변환할 때 고려할 사항을 논한다 그리고 XML 질의어인 XQuery로 XML 뷰 정의 언어를 사용할 때, XQuery로 표현된 XML 뷰를 XML Schema로 표현된 XML 스키마로 변환하는 방법을 제시한다.

  • The files of intellectual property on computer systems have increasingly been exposed to such threats that they can be flowed out by internal users or outer attacks through the network. The File Outflow Protection System detects file outflow when users not only copy files on client computers into storage devices, but also print them. This Protection system has been designed to Win32 API hooking by I/O Manager in kernel level if files are flowed out by copying. As a result, the monitoring system has exactly detected file outflows, which is proved through testing.

  • 스마트 모바일 장치는 HD 디지털 컨텐츠가 창조될 수 있도록 했고, 사용자가 어디있든간에 그것을 접하는 것이 가능할 수 있도록 하였다. 그러나 스마트 모바일 장치는 저장공간의 제약과 같은 필연적인 하드웨어 제약이 있다. 이 논문에서 우리는 사용자들이 그들의 집에있는 데이터에 매끄럽게 접근할 수 있는 이해하기 쉬운 WebDAV 기반 가상 저장 시스템(DAVSS)을 제안한다. 우리가 구현한 프로토타입 결과물은 저장공간이 한정된 장치에 제안된 해결책(DAVSS)이 실현가능함을 보여준다.

  • The architecture for RFID-based home network and an intelligent agent for efficiently managing home network are proposed in this paper. The agent consists of six modules-Agent Manager, Data Collector, Execution Controller, Data Storage, Data Queue and User Interface. Agent Manager manages the tasks of modules, and Data Collector collects the data from home appliances through the RFID readersm Execution Controller determines the operations home appliances according to the conditions of the home environment and transfers the operations to the appliances through the RFID readers. Moreover, Data Storage keeps the data which is necessary for the operations of the agent, and Data Queue temporarily stores the data which is collected from home appliances. Lastly, User Interface provides the graphical user interface in which an individual can directly control and monitor the home network. The proposed intelligent agent autonomously learns the circumstances of a home network by analyzing the data about the state of home appliances, and controls home appliances according to the preference of the user. Therefore, the user can live in the best-suited home environment without direct appliance control if he/she performs home networking through the agent.

  • Many people are the latest interested in the integration of the WWW and database systems. The UCM(United CGI Management) system, which is proposed on this study, is based on the method using CGI that does not change existing servers and clients to integrate the WWW and database system. Since the CGI executable architecture executes a CGI program whenever the database is accessed, the system performance is reduced greatly when many request to the database are made simultaneously. However, the UCM system improves the system performance since it uses the integrated CGI running a daemon process. Moreover, the proposed system can use the WWW database more economically and doesn't use the SQL because it does not use a DBMS. In UCM system, we define the extended HTML tags to implement the WWW database interface and use the EXODUS storage manager for accessing the database.

  • This article provides comprehensive guidance on the maintenance, cleaning, regeneration, and storage of silica-based HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) columns. The general considerations emphasize the importance of using in-line filters and guard cartridges to protect columns from blockage and irreversible sample adsorption. While these measures help, contamination by strongly adsorbed sample components can still occur over time, leading to an increase in back pressure, loss of efficiency, and other issues. To maximize column lifetime, especially with UHPLC (Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography) columns, it is advisable to use ultra-pure solvents, freshly prepared aqueous mobile phases, and to filter all samples, standards, and mobile phases. Additionally, an in-line filter system and sample clean-up on dirty samples are recommended. However, in cases of irreversible compound adsorption or column voiding, regeneration may not be possible. The document also provides specific recommendations for column cleaning procedures, including the flushing procedures for various types of columns such as reversed phase, unbonded silica, bonded normal phase, anion exchange, cation exchange, and size exclusion columns for proteins. The flushing procedures involve using specific solvents in a series to clean and regenerate the columns. It is emphasized that the flow rate during flushing should not exceed the specified limit for the particular column, and the last solvent used should be compatible with the mobile phase. Furthermore, the article outlines the storage conditions for silica based HPLC columns, highlighting the impact of storage conditions on the column's lifetime. It is recommended to flush all buffers, salts, and ion-pairing reagents from the column before storage. The storage solvent should ideally match the one used in the initial column test chromatogram provided by the manufacturer, and column end plugs should be fitted to prevent solvent evaporation and drying out of the packing bed.
