  • We prove that the logarithm of the flow of stochastic differential equations is an element of the free Lie algebra generated by a finite set consisting of vector fields being coefficients of equations. As an application, we directly obtain a formula of the solution of stochastic differential equations given by Castell(1993) without appealing to an expansion for ordinary differential equations given by Strichartz (1987).

  • A Newly proposed control methodology applied to the aeroelastic system experiencing flutter is investigated and its performance is verified experimentally. The flexible cantilever beam slicked with piezofilm sensor and piezoceramic actuator is modelled in physical domain. Dynamic moment equation for the system is derived via Ito's stochastic differential equation and F-P-K equation. Also system's characteristics in stochastic domain is analyzed simultaneously. LQG controller is designed and used in physical and stochastic domain. It is shown experimentally that the vibration of beam is controlled effectively by designed LQG controller in physical domain. By comparing the result with that of LQG controller designed in stochastic domain, it is shown that the new control method, called Heo-stochastic control technique, has better performance as a controller.

  • In this paper, we attempt to present a new numerical approach to solve non-linear backward stochastic differential equations. First, we present some definitions and theorems to obtain the conditions, from which we can approximate the non-linear term of the backward stochastic differential equation (BSDE) and we get a continuous piecewise linear BSDE correspond with the original BSDE. We use the relationship between backward stochastic differential equations and stochastic controls by interpreting BSDEs as some stochastic optimal control problems, to solve the approximated BSDE and we prove that the approximated solution converges to the exact solution of the original non-linear BSDE in two different cases.

  • We obtain special type of differential equations which their solution are random variable with known continuous density function. Stochastic differential equations (SDE) of continuous distributions are determined by the Fokker-Planck theorem. We approximate solution of differential equation with numerical methods such as: the Euler-Maruyama and ten stages explicit Runge-Kutta method, and analysis error prediction statistically. Numerical results, show the performance of the Rung-Kutta method with respect to the Euler-Maruyama. The exponential two parameters, exponential, normal, uniform, beta, gamma and Parreto distributions are considered in this paper.

  • In this paper we discussed Euler-Maruyama method for stochastic differential equations with jump diffusion. We give a convergence result for Euler-Maruyama where the coefficients of the stochastic differential equation are locally Lipschitz and the pth moments of the exact and numerical solution are bounded for some p > 2.

  • The ordinary differential equation (ODE) method has been widely used for the convergence analysis of stochastic recursive algorithms. The principal objective of this method is to associate to a given algorithm a differential equation with continuous righthand side. Usually some assumptions should be imposed to get such a differential equation. If any of assumptions fails, then the ODE method cannot be used. Recently a new method using differential inclusions (DIs) was introduced in [3], which is useful to deal with those cases. The DI method shares the same idea with the ODE method, but it is different in that a differential inclusion is identified instead of a differential equation with continuous righthand side. In this paper, we briefly review the DI method and then analyze a Robbins and Monro (RM)-type algorithm. Our focus is placed on the projected algorithm.

  • In this paper, we shall establish a new theorem on the existence and uniqueness of the solution to a backward doubly stochastic differential equations under a weaker condition than the Lipschitz coefficient. We also show a comparison theorem for this kind of equations.

  • We investigate the rate of convergence of the distribution of the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) of an unknown parameter in the drift coefficient of a stochastic process described by a linear stochastic differential equation driven by a fractional Brownian motion (fBm). As a special case, we obtain the rate of convergence for the case of the fractional Ornstein- Uhlenbeck type process studied recently by Kleptsyna and Le Breton (2002).

  • In this paper, we consider numerical solution of a H-J-B (Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman) equation of elliptic type arising from the stochastic control problem. For the numerical solution of the equation, we take an approach involving contraction mapping and finite difference approximation. We choose the It(equation omitted) type stochastic differential equation as the dynamic system concerned. The numerical method of solution is validated computationally by using the constructed test case. Map of optimal controls is obtained through the numerical solution process of the equation. We also show how the method applies by taking a simple example of nonlinear spacecraft control.

  • Let $\mathcal{S}^{\prime}(\mathbb{R})$ be the dual of the Schwartz spaces $\mathcal{S}(\mathbb{R})$), A be a self-adjoint operator in $L^2(\mathbb{R})$ and ${\Gamma}(A)^*$ be the adjoint operator of ${\Gamma}(A)$ which is the second quantization operator of A. It is proven that under a suitable condition on A there exists a nuclear subspace $\mathcal{S}$ of a fundamental space $\mathcal{S}_A$ of Hida's type on $\mathcal{S}^{\prime}(\mathbb{R})$) such that ${\Gamma}(A)\mathcal{S}{\subset}\mathcal{S}$ and $e^{-t{\Gamma}(A)}\mathcal{S}{\subset}\mathcal{S}$, which enables us to show that a stochastic differential equation: $$dX(t)=dW(t)-{\Gamma}(A)^*X(t)dt$$, arising from the central limit theorem for spatially extended neurons has an unique solution on the dual space $\mathcal{S}^{\prime}$ of $\mathcal{S}$.
