Improvement of tracking performance of PMSM through reduction of cogging torque (영구자석형 스테핑 모터의 코깅 토크 저감을 통한 속도 추종 성능 개선)

  • 영구자석형 스테핑 모터 (Permanent Magnet Stepping Motor, PMSM)에서는 그 구조적 특징으로 인하여 필연적으로 코깅 토크 (cogging torque)가 발생한다. PMSM의 성능을 저하시키는 코깅 토크를 제거하기 위하여 Internal Model Principle (IMP)을 제안하였다. IMP를 사용하기 위해 Field-Oriented Control (FOC) 기반의 SISO 시스템을 구성하고 IMP를 PI 제어기에 병렬로 추가하였다. 모의 실험 결과로 코깅 토크로 인한 속도 리플이 효과적으로 제거됨을 보였다.

  • This paper describes as Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry system which has been designed for measuring vibration patterns and quantitative measurement of vibration amplitude fields by using the time average method on a object. Visbility of fringe patterns is more improved by using the phase stepping and frame average method to reduce speckle and electric noise. And a bias vibration is introduced into the reference beam to shift the $\frac{2}{0}$ fringes so that fringe shift algorithms can be used to determine vibration amplitude. The experimental results are compared to those of the FFT analyzer and the FEM model analysis.

  • This thesis describes the active cruise control which is a part of AVHS(Advanced Vehicle and Highway System) in the ITS(Intelligent Transportation Systems). The active cruise control is a system which recognizes some obstructions and vehicles in front, drives in safe speed and puts on the brake in dangerous situations as the driver simply turns on the switch without stepping on the accelerator and brake. PID controller is used in the speed-control by linearizing the longitudinal model of the vehicle, obstacle detecting algorithm which makes use of the laser scanner is proposed to recognize the situation in front and the system's performance is tested.

  • This paper describes a sonic polygonal multiple reflection range sensor (SPMRS), which uses multiple reflection properties usually ignored in ultrasonic sensors as disturbances or noises. Targets such as a plane, corner, edge, or cylinder in indoor environments can easily be detected by the multiple reflection patterns obtained with a SPMRS system. Target classification and feature data extraction, such as distance and azimuth to the target, are computed simultaneously by considering the geometrical relationships between the detected targets, and finally the environment model is generated by refining the detected targets. In addition, the narrow field of view of a sonar range sensor is increased and the scanning time is reduced by active motion of the SPMRS stepping servomechanism.

  • This paper deals with the design and analysis of a 2-phase Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) used for the cooling fan motor of a refrigerator. To reduce the dead zone and improve the efficiency, the snail-earn type rotor pole and the asymmetric stator pole are investigated. For the optimal shape design, the performances of each model are obtained from numerical calculation results by 2D time-stepping finite element method (FEM) coupled with circuit equations. The accuracy of analysis is verified by comparing the analysis results with experimental data. According to the investigation results, improved shapes of stator and rotor poles are proposed.

  • Unsteady compressible Euler equation is solved and the high-order, high-resolution numerical solver, physical boundary condition, adaptive nonlinear artificial dissipation model and conformal mapping are applied to computation of steady transonic flow and unsteady acoustics. The acoustic characteristics of axi-symmetric duct and two dimensional straight/S channel are studied and the computation results shows good agreements with linear analysis. In transonic case, local time stepping and canceling-the-residual techniques are used for convergence acceleration. The aspect of flow and acoustics in S-channel and the Pattern of noise radiation is changed by inflow Mach no. and static pressure at fan-face.

  • This paper proposes a nonlinear adaptive controller based on back-stepping method for tracking reference substrate concentration by manipulating dilution rate in a continuous baker´s yeast cultivating process in stirred tank bioreactor. Control law is obtained from Lyapunov control function to ensure asymptotical stability of the system. The Haldane model for the specific growth rate depending on only substrate concentration is used in this paper. Due to the uncertainty of specific growth rate, it has been modified as a function including the unknown parameter with known bounded values. The substrate concentration in the bioreactor and feed line are measured.   • An implicit viscous turbulent flow solver is developed for two-dimensional geon unstructured triangular meshes. The flux terms are discretized based on a cell-centered formulation with the Roe's flux-difference splitting. The solution is advanced in time us backward-Euler time-stepping scheme. At each time step, the linear system of equation approximately solved wi th the Gauss-Seidel relaxation scheme. The effect of turbulence is with a standard k-ε two-equation model which is solved separately from the mean flow equation the same backward-Euler time integration scheme. The triangular meshes are generated advancing-front/layer technique. Validations are made for flows over the NACA 0012 airfoil. Douglas 3-element airfoil. Good agreements are obtained between the numerical result experiment.

  • Various kinds of winding arrangements can be used to enable fault current limiters (FCL) to tolerate higher forces without resulting in a substantial increase in construction and fabrication costs. In this paper, a distributed winding arrangement is investigated in terms of its effects on the short-circuit forces in a three-phase FCL. The force magnitudes of the AC supplied windings are calculated by employing a finite element-based model in the time stepping procedure. The leakage flux and radial and axial force magnitudes obtained from the simulation are compared to those obtained from a conventional winding arrangement. The comparison shows that the distributed winding arrangement significantly reduces the radial and, especially, the axial force magnitudes.

  • This is analyzed using the finite element method which is appling excellent isoparametric curve element in the aspect of large usages of dynamic responses in which is regarding geometric and material nonlinear of a large scale shell structure of an airplane, a submarine, a ship, and an ocean structure. The solution of dynamic equations is got by direct integration method using time-stepping procedure and regarding Central Difference Method of the both solutions. But because formal matrix factorization is not necessary in each time step and it does not take less time to compute relatively, this method must be regarded very few time steps on the condition. Axisymmatric shell problems are inspected using 8 node Isoparametric element in this paper. Partial axisymmatric spherical shell is used as a model to analyze axisymmatric nonlinear dynamic behavior regarding. Total Lagrangian formulation in geometric nonlinear behavior and elastio-viscoplastic in material nonlinear behavior.
