This paper presents a CPW phase shifter and shunt stub with air-bridge on a 10-${\mu}m$-thick oxidized porous silicon(OPS) substrate using surface micromachining. The line dimensions of the CPW phase shifter was designed with S-W-Sg = 100-30-400 ${\mu}m$. And the width and length of the air-bridge with "ㄷ“ shape were 100 ${\mu}m$ and 400-460-400 ${\mu}m$, respectively. In order to achieve low attenuation, stepped air-bridge CPW phase shift was proposed. The insertion loss of the stepped air-bridge CPW phase shift is more improved than that of no stepped air-bridge CPW phase shift. The measured phase characteristic of the fabricated CPW phase shifter is close to 180$^{\circ}$ over a very broad frequency range of 28 GHz. The measured working frequency of short-end series stub is 28.7 GHz and the return loss is - 20 dB. And the measured working frequency of short-end shunt stub is 28.9 GHz and the return loss is - 23 dB at midband. As a result, the pattering of stub in the center conductor of CPW lines can offer size reduction and lead to high density chip layouts.
The use of semi-rigid joints can be considered in the beam-to-column connections of buildings. The advantages of semi-rigid joints can be found in the convenience of construction and the ability of effective moment distribution of members. This study is a basic step to acertain the application of middle high rise buildings by using reformed T-stub, of which rotation capacity is thought to be excellent compared with that of existing T-stubs. The tests of tensile and compressive elements of reformed T-stubs were performed to investigate the behavior of reformed T-stubs. The beam-to-column connections using reformed T-stubs are tested under monotonic loading. The structural behaviors of reformed T-stubs were understood qualitatively and the possibility of application of semi-rigid connections with reformed T-stub was acertained.
In the paper, a dual-bandpass filter for ship's wireless LAN has proposed, which was designed by using step stub in compliance with 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz band The dual-bandpass filter can be designed by adjusting the sizes of the step stub in compliance with the frequency bands of 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz, which has the improved performance compared with the existing dual-bandpass filter. Furthermore, dual-bandpass filter using step stub has better efficiency. The measured results for the fabricated dual-bandpass filters agreed well with the simulated ones, and hence it was confirmed that the proposed design method is valid.

This paper presents a compact, low insertion loss, sharp rejection and wide band microstrip band pass filter that is composed rectangular loop resonator and step-impedance-open-stub(SIOS) for wireless data communication. The SIOS can be reduce length about 30% more than general 0.25${\lambda}$ stub. And stubs can have the advantage of tuning impedance magnitude. In order to demonstrate agrement of this paper prove, the optimized wide band pass filters are realized and experimented. A transmission line model used to calculate the frequency response of the new filters shows good agreement with measurements. The filter with perturbation stubs has four poles at rejection band, the poles are excited 3.610GHz, 4.265GHz at low frequency band, 8.494GHz, 9.056GHz at high frequency band. And the filter has 3dB fractional bandwidth of 57%(3.695GHz), an insertion loss of better than 0.37dB from 4.549GHz to 8.244GHz, and two rejection of greater than 30dB within 237MHz(4.312GHz${\sim}$ 4.549GHz) at low frequency band, 234MHz(8.244GHz-8.491GHz) at high frequency band.
The purpose of this study was to observe the morphologic change of dentinal surface, adhesion in interface between dentin and bonding agents, and penetration pattern of resin tags into dentinal tubles according to bonding procedure of ONE-STEP universal adhesive system. Ten extracted human molars were mounted in dental stone and sectioned to expose mid-coronal occlusal dentin and again sectioned tooth crown apically. Specimens were randomly assigned to three groups for dentin conditioning with 32% phoshoric acid, two coats of bonding agents after dentin conditioning, and bond of composite resin. The surfaces of dentin were treated with etch ant and applied bonding agent, and bonded composite resin according to the directions of manufacturer. Specimens which were boned composite were sectioned longitudinally for observing interfaces between resin and dentin. Two of specimens which were sectioned longitudinally were immersed in 6 N HCL for 30 seconds and 1% NaOCL for 12 hours to partially demineralize and deproteinize the dentin substrate. Each specimen was mounted on a brass stub, sputter-coated with gold and observed under SEM. The result were as follows : 1. On the dentinal surface which was conditioned with 32% phosphoric acid. the smear layer was completely removed. orifices of dentinal tubules were opened 3-$5{\mu}m$ wide. and dentinal surface was irregular. 2. On the dentinal surface which was applied ONE-STEP. bonding agent. resin particles were observed on the orifices of dentinal tubules and intertubular dentin. 3. There were close adaptation between dentin and resin and were the pattern which composite invaded into dentin. 4. 1-$3{\mu}m$-wide hybrid layer was visible in the interface between dentin and resin. 5. Long and funnel shaped resin tags were observed in demineralized specimens. and the surfaces of tags were rough.

This study evaluates the reliability of present European codes in predicting the collapse load of columns made with perforated cold-formed steel (CFS) profiles under combined axial load and bending. To this aim, a series of experimental tests on slender open-section specimens have been performed at varying load eccentricity. Preliminarily, stub column tests have also been performed to calculate the effective section properties of the investigated profile. By comparison of experimental data with code-specified M-N strength domains, the authors demonstrate that present code formulations may underestimate the collapse load of thin-walled perforated open sections. The study is the first step of a wider experimental and numerical study aimed at better describing strength domains of perforated CFS open sections.

This paper presents the designing/manufacturing scheme of the diplexer for satellite transponder which is composed of 2-channel bandpass filters, coupled with E-plane T-junction, having symmetrical waveguide E-plane step discontinuity structures. The 2-channel bandpass filters of the diplexer are designed by the scheme of connecting ${\lambda}_{g}$/2 shunt stub to the waveguide E-plane, playing the role of heat sinks without attaching a special heat sinks and to give the profitable productivity and allow the low-cost manufacturing at mass production, tuning screws are eliminated which have been used to compensate the operating characteristics of manufactured filters. The 2 channel bandpass filters of manufactured 14/12 GHz diplexer for domestic Ku-band satellite transponder have the return loss of 25 dB, insertion loss of 0.3 dB in passband, and below-50 dB of stopband characteristics (T$_{x}$ : f$_{o}{\pm}$250 MHz, R$_{x}$ : f$_{o}{\pm}$220 MHz) at room temperature.
An ultrawide stopband lowpass filter is reported using three stepped impedance resonators with high selectivity. The filter extends the stopband frequency range and attenuation, and two quarter-wave open stubs and three circular ground slots are introduced. The lumped and distributed equivalent models are derived and analyzed. The corresponding results are validated experimentally in a fabricated prototype. The prototype lowpass filter has a 3 dB cutoff frequency (fc) of 2.9 GHz, and the stopband is extended up to 35 GHz (12.07fc), with an attenuation level better than 20 dB throughout. The passband-to-stopband transition (3 dB-20 dB) bandwidth is 0.18 GHz, and the roll-off factor is 135 dB/GHz at 30 dB. The insertion loss is 0.3 dB at 1.6 GHz. The normalized circuit size of the proposed filter with respect to the guided wavelength is 0.04.
