돼지 수정란의 급속 동결 융해법에 관한 연구 - 돼지 동결 수정란에 대한 1단계 Straw법이 배의 생존성에 미치는 영향 (Studies on Rapid Freezing and Thawing of Porcine Embryos III. Factors affecting the survival rate of porcine embryos cryopreserved and diluted by one-step straw method)

  • This study were carried out to investigate the effective concentration of cryoprotective agents and sucrose by one-step straw method, and to determine the optimum thawing temperature and equilibration time of frozen porcine embryos. The porcine embryos foflowing dehydration by cryoprotective agents and a various concentration of sucrose were directly plunged into liquid nitrogen and thawed in 3$0^{\circ}C$ water. Survival rate was defined by FDA test. The results are sunnnarized as follows : 1. The survival rates of porcine embryos after ultrarapid frozen4hawing in the freezing medium with a various concentration of glycerol, DMSO and propanediol added 0.25M sucrose were higher survival rate than those of sucrose concentration of 0.50M. 2. The survival rates of porcine embryos after ultrarapid ftozen4hawing in the freezing medium added 0.25M and 0.SOM sucrose were higher survival rate than those of sucrose concentration of 0.75M and 1.00M. 3. The temperature thawed at 2$0^{\circ}C$ and 3$0^{\circ}C$ resulted in a significantly higher embryos survival rate after 72 hrs in culture than did at 35$^{\circ}C$. 4. The equilibration time on the survival rate of porcine embryos was attained after short period of time(2.5~5 min.) in the freezing medium higher than long period of time(10~20 min.).

  • 본 논문은 능동 소음 제어 시스템에 적합한 새로운 가변 수렴 상수 filtered-x gradient adaptive lattice(NVSS-FxGAL) 알고리즘을 제안한다. Gradient adaptive lattice(GAL) 알고리즘은 협대역 특성을 가지는 소음을 효과적으로 제어할 수 있다. GAL 알고리즘의 수렴 성능을 개선하기 위한 가변 격자 필터의 각 단계에 동일하게 적용하면 입력 신호의 특성 변화에 강인하게 대처하지 못한다. 제안 알고리즘은 격자 필터의 각 단계에 적합한 로컬 가변 수렴상수를 이용하여 안정적이고 일관성 있는 수렴 성능을 보장한다. 실험을 통해 제안 알고리즘은 빠른 수렴 속도와 낮은 정상 상태를 보임을 확인하였다.

Systems for Production of Calves from Hanwoo IVM/IVF/IVC Blastocyst. IV. Direct Transfer of Vitrified and One-Step Diluted Hanwoo Blastocysts

  • This study was to examine whether the vitrified, one-step diluted and direct transferred Hanwoo IVM/IVF/IVC blastocysts can be successfully survived in vivo and they were succeeded into the live birth. For vitrification, blastocysts were serially exposed in glycerol (G) or/and ethylene glycol (EG) mixtures [10% (v/v) G for 5 min, 10% G plus 20% EG (v/v) for 5 min, and 25% G plus 25% EG (v/v) for 30 sect] which is diluted in 10% FBS added D-PBS. Thawing of straw was carried out in air for 10 sec and then in water bath of $25^{\circ}C$ for 20 sec. One-step dilution within the straw was done in water bath of $25^{\circ}C$ for 1 min. Vitrified and one-step diluted embryos were directly transferred into 36 (natural or hormone induced synchronized) recipient cows in 6 areas of Kyungsang Buk-Do. Pregnancies were confirmed at first when recipient cows did not return to the subsequent estrus cycle, and later by manual palpation per rectum on day 45, 90 and then living calves were derived into parturition. Overall pregnancy was 33.3%(12/36), However, higher pregnancy was obtained when the recipients exhibited estrus one day earlier than the age of transferred embryos (53.3 vs 25.0-27.3%), irrespective of synchronization methods. Also, parous recipients became pregnant higher than nulliparous heifers, And, there were not different in pregnancy rates by the aspect of corpus luteum (CL) quality of recipients (good, 29.4; fair, 37.5; poor, 33.3%). One hundred eight of frozen-thawed Hanwoo blastocysts were directly transferred into 36 recipient cows. In 12 of pregnant cows, 3 cows were aborted and 9 cows were calved [single, 66.7% (6/9): twin, 33.3% (3/9)]. Total embryo implantation rate was 11.1% (12/108). However, 9 Hanwoo calves were lived. Therefore, these results demonstrate that direct transfer technique of vitrified and one-step diluted bovine blastocysts can be applied easily and effectively with the higher pregnancy rate on field trial without the equipment and embryological skills.

  • 이 논문에서는 클러터 환경에서 최적의 거리와 거리방향 속도 추적을 위한 검출문턱값과 파형 파라미터의 one-step-ahead 제어를 제시하였다. 파형 파라미터의 최적 제어는 파형 파라미터에 대한 제약 조건이 있는 상황에서 추적 성능지수를 최소화하는 것이다. 성능지수는 항적분실확률과 추정오차 공분산행렬의 함수로 표현하였다. 항적분실확률과 오차 공분산행렬은 하이브리드 알고리듬을 이용하여 얻었다. 거짓 검출과 클러터 간섭의 영향은 이 성능 예측 알고리듬에서 함께 고려되었다. 여기서 제안한 one-step-ahead 제어의 추적 성능을 여러 가지 수치실험을 통해 확인하였고, 이 제어 방법은 유한 구간의 최적화 결과로부터 얻어진 경험적인 방법이다.

  • 단공 수리시험으로서의 단계양수시험은 일반적으로 대수층 및 우물의 생산성 혹은 효율을 평가하기 위해 수행되어 왔다. 단계양수시험은 기본적으로 초기에 저양수량으로 양수를 하며 양수관정의 수위가 안정되면 다음 단계의 고양 수량으로 다시 수위가 안정될 때까지 양수를 지속한다. 이러한 과정은 최소 3단계 이상 반복되며 각 단계별 양수지속시간을 동일하여야 한다. 본 기술자료에서는 그 동안 국내에서 수행된 단계양수시험의 해석과 관련하여 몇 가지 문제점들을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 단계양수시험에 대한 부적절한 해석결과는 주로 잘못된 해석개념 및 불완전한 현장 양수자료와 관계가 큰 것으로 파악되었다.

Cryopreservation of winter-dormant mulberry buds using two-step freezing

  • Genetic resources of mulberry trees are commonly preserved as trophosomes, which are vulnerable to environmental factors, such as natural disasters, diseases, and pests. This study establishes a basic protocol for ultra-low temperature cryopreservation of mulberry trees using a two-step freezing process. The procedure was established using the "Daeshim" variety and then tested on genetic resources from 24 other mulberry varieties. Samples were first dried to a moisture content of 33-43% in a low-temperature forced-air chamber at -5 ℃, then slowly frozen from -5 ℃ to -20 ℃, and preserved in liquid nitrogen (-196 ℃). To determine the regeneration rate, isolated dormant buds were inoculated into MS basal medium, and grown shoots were grafted onto 1-year-old rootstock via chip budding and then cultured. After freezing in liquid nitrogen, the "Daeshim" variety exhibited a survival and regeneration rate of more than 70% and 50%, respectively. Applying the two-step freezing process to genetic resources from 24 mulberry species yielded average survival and regeneration rates of 85.3% and 75.5%, respectively. Morus alba showed survival and regeneration rates of 100%, confirming the efficacy of the two-step freezing method. These results indicate the high feasibility of ultra-low-temperature cryopreservation through two-step freezing of dormant buds from mulberry genetic resources. Additional research is required into the variations in regeneration rates with freezing period in liquid nitrogen.

  • In this paper, we proposed that technique for reducing trailing artifact in MPEG-4 video. low bit-rate video is occured trailng artifact which remain part of moving object. Because MEMC doesn't work well in the degraded video. The proposed trailing artifact reduction approach has at its core three main steps. First step is to detect trailing artifact. Second step is applied intra block coding to remove trailing artifact. Finally, bit-rate control algorithm is used. Experimental result using an MPEG-4 based encoder indicate that the proposed method has overhead(bits) of about 2 percent and proposed method effective reduce or eliminate trailing artifact

Optimal step stress accelerated life tests for the exponential distribution under periodic inspection and type I censoring

  • In this paper, the inferences of data obtained from periodic inspection and type I censoring for the step-stress accelerated life test are studied. The exponential distribution with a failure rate function that a log-linear function of stress and the tampered failure rate model are considered. The maximum likelihood estimators of the model parameters are estimated and also the optimal stress change time which minimize the asymptotic variance of maximum likelihood estimators of parameters is determined. A numerical example will be given to illustrate the proposed inferential procedures and the sensitivity of the asymptotic variance of the estimated mean by the guessed parameters is investigated.

타원 모델기반의 전처리 기법에 의한 얼굴 인식률 개선 (Improvement of Face Recognition Rate by Preprocessing Based on Elliptical Model)

  • 얼굴 인식률 향상을 위해서는 전처리 단계에서의 영상 보정이 매우 중요하며, 특히 배경 잡음 제거는 얼굴 인식의 정확도에 중대한 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 얼굴 인식률 향상을 위하여 전처리 단계에서 타원 모델을 이용하여 배경 영역을 제거하는 방법을 제안하였다. 사람의 얼굴 윤곽은 타원의 형태를 나타내기 때문에 얼굴 영상에서 타원 모델을 이용할 경우 얼굴 영역을 용이하게 검출할 수 있다. ETRI, ORL, 및 XM2VTS 얼굴 데이터베이스에 대한 실험 분석을 통하여 제안된 방법이 얼굴 인식 성능을 뚜렷하게 개선시켰음을 알 수 있었다.

Mapping Quantitative Trait Loci with Various Types of Progeny from Complex Pedigrees

  • A method for mapping quantitative trait loci (QTL) was introduced incorporating the information of mixed progeny from complex pedigrees. The method consisted of two steps based on single marker analysis. The first step was to examine the marker-trait association with a mixed model considering common environmental effect and reversed QTL-marker linkage phase. The second step was to estimate QTL effects by a weighted least square analysis. A simulation study indicated that the method incorporating mixed progeny from multiple generations improved the accuracy of QTL detection. The influence of within-genotype variance and recombination rate on QTL analysis was further examined. Detecting a QTL with a large within-genotype variance was more difficult than with a small within-genotype variance. Most of the significant marker-QTL association was detectable when the recombination rate was less than 15%.
