  • 게임의 장르가 다양해지고 대규모의 온라인 게임이 가능해 징에 따라 게임 환경과 더불어 게임 안에 등장하는 캐릭터의 수도 많아지고 있다. 게이머에 의해 움직이는 캐릭터 외에도 여러 종류의 다양한 NPC(Non-Player Character)들이 각각 맡은 임무를 띠고 각기 움직이게 된다. 본 논문에서는 NPC들의 자연스러운 이동을 위해 제안된 일반화 가시성그래프를 이용하여 계획된 경로의 효과적인 구현을 위한 조타행동(steering behaviors)과 경로 이동 중에 만나는 다른 캐릭터에 대한 NPC들의 조타행동을 정의하고 구현하여 이동에 따른 효율을 실험해 본다.

  • A circuit-domain model of PWM inverter provides accurate simulation results in consideration of detail switching characteristics. Although, a huge amount of computation time is demanded for the simulation results of several ten seconds, which is the required time to analyze system behaviors or control performances of Electric Power Steering(EPS) on real drive condition. This paper describes the nonlinear inverter model for fast dynamic simulation of EPS without the PWM concept through analyzing the effect of nonlinear switching characteristics like dead time, forward voltage drop and conduction resistance. Some inverter models including proposed model are compared from two standpoints which are computation time and accuracy. The comparison results show the usefulness of the developed model in order to develop the control algorithm through the fast prediction of system behaviors.

Interactions of Behavioral Changes in Smoking, High-risk Drinking, and Weight Gain in a Population of 7.2 Million in Korea

  • Objectives: To identify simultaneous behavioral changes in alcohol consumption, smoking, and weight using a fixed-effect model and to characterize their associations with disease status. Methods: This study included 7 000 529 individuals who participated in the national biennial health-screening program every 2 years from 2009 to 2016 and were aged 40 or more. We reconstructed the data into an individual-level panel dataset with 4 waves. We used a fixed-effect model for smoking, heavy alcohol drinking, and overweight. The independent variables were sex, age, lifestyle factors, insurance contribution, employment status, and disease status. Results: Becoming a high-risk drinker and losing weight were associated with initiation or resumption of smoking. Initiation or resumption of smoking and weight gain were associated with non-high-risk drinkers becoming high-risk drinkers. Smoking cessation and becoming a high-risk drinker were associated with normal-weight participants becoming overweight. Participants with newly acquired diabetes mellitus, ischemic heart disease, stroke, and cancer tended to stop smoking, discontinue high-risk drinking, and return to a normal weight. Conclusions: These results obtained using a large-scale population-based database documented interactions among lifestyle factors over time.

운전자 정적 거동 특성을 이용한 차량 패키지 개선용 등가 인지지도 개발 (Development of Iso-Perception Maps to Improve the Driver Workspace Using Drivers' Static Behaviors)

  • This study was aimed at developing 1) iso-perception maps for various groups of drivers in terms of age, gender, and anthropometry and 2) the experiment framework required for obtaining subjective and objective measures. A total of 9 maps, which describe drivers' perceptions regarding their static behaviors inside a typical mid-size sedan, can be used to improve the utilization of the limited driver workspace, and to select better design alternatives for occupant packaging. An adjustable seating buck, $a^{***}$-camera motion capture system (Vicon), and $a^{**}$-channel EMG system were used for the experiment. Each iso-perception map was developed while H-PT, steering wheel center, or TGS knob center was moved to each of pre-defined positions relative to driver-selected positions. Adjustable ranges or positions of the seat, steering wheel, and TGS lever described in iso-perception maps can be used to determine better package layout alternatives.

  • It is necessary to analyze the mechanical behaviors of the power steering hose, which must play a proper role under severe operating conditions, in order to prepare a preventive measure fur contrary effects expected in unfavorable circumstances. In this paper, the stress and deformation characteristics of the hose components such as rubber, sleeve, nipple and reinforced braids during the swaging process, are analyzed using the finite element method. Contact conditions identical to the manufacturing process are taken into account, and the material properties based on experimental data are used in the analysis. Investigations into the mutual relations between the manufacturing conditions and the hose performances are done with respect to the jaw stroke on the basis of the stress and strain values of the hose components after swaging process.

로드맵 기반 경로에서의 그룹 이동 시뮬레이션 (Simulating Group Movement on a Roadmap-based Path)

  • 로드맵 기반 계획은 목표 지향적인 이동을 위해 로보틱스 분야에서 많이 사용되는 경로 계획 방식이며 최근 컴퓨터 게임과 같은 컴퓨터 애니메이션 세계에서 많이 응용되고 있다. 그러나 컴퓨터 캐릭터가 로드맵 방식으로 계획된 경로 이동을 기존의 로보틱스 분야와 같은 방식으로 하면 자연스럽게 보이지 않는 단점이 있다. 컴퓨터 애니메이션 분야에서 실제적이고 자연스러운 이동을 가능하게 하는 플로킹은 로드맵과는 달리 계획에 의존하지 않고 몇 가지 규칙만으로 빠르게 캐릭터의 이동을 가능하게 하지만 상태를 갖지 않으므로 목표 지향적인 이동은 불가능하다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 로드맵에 의해 경로를 계획하고 계획된 경로를 그룹이 자연스럽게 이동하도록 반응적 행동과 결합하여 시뮬레이션하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 로드맵 기반 경로의 특징을 분석하여 그룹의 리더가 자연스럽게 궤적을 추종하는데 필요한 조타 행동들과 나머지 멤버들이 주변 장애물 상태를 파악하면서 다양한 방법으로 리더를 따르도록 하는 조타 행동을 정의하고 구현하도록 한다. 구현된 조타 행동들을 이용하여 로드맵 기반 계획 방법들과 형상공간 모델링의 가능한 조합에 대해 이동 시뮬레이션하고 결과를 보여준다. 또한 경로 계획이 움직이는 물체는 점을 환산한 형상공간에서 이루어져 장애물 충돌 감지를 효과적으로 할 수 있음을 보여준다.

운전운동평가-기반 연령별 운전자 행태 분석 연구: 20대부터 70대까지 (A Study of Driver Test Station-based on Driver Behaviors Assessment: from 20s to 70s)

  • 고령운전자의 운전행동은 신체적 및 인지적 기능의 저하로 돌발 상황이나 시내주행에서 안전운전에 취약하다고 보고되고 있다. 본 연구는 성인 자가운전자를 대상으로 연령대에 따라서 운전행동양상에 차이가 있는지 알아보고 정상적인 노화로 인하여 발생하는 운전에 관한 신체적 기능변화를 제언하기 위함이었다. 연구 참여자는 운전면허를 소지하고 실제로 자가운전을 하는 75명(20세-39세 21명, 40-64세 40명, 65세 14명)을 대상으로 하였다. 연구 참여자는 자기-기입 설문지를 통하여 성별, 우세 손, 약물복용 여부, 운동 여부, 연령 및 운전 기간을 응답하였다. 또한 조용한 운전능력 실험실에서 운전운동평가 기기를 통하여 조향, 가속 및 제어 등의 운전운동평가를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 파워검사는 연령대에 따라서 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 타이머검사 및 응급제어검사의 총 시간은 연령에 따라 유의미하게 차이가 있으며, 20세~39세에서 가장 빠르고, 65세 이상의 노인에서 가장 느리게 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 정상적인 노화는 고령 운전자의 운전행동양상과 연관된 지각-인지과정에 영향을 미친다고 제언하는 바이다.

ENHANCEMENT OF VEHICLE STABILITY BY ACTIVE GEOMETRY CONTROL SUSPENSION SYSTEM

  • This paper presents the enhancement of vehicle stability by active geometry control suspension(AGCS) system as the world-first, unique and patented chassis technology, which has more advantages than the conventional active chassis control systems in terms of the basic concept. The control approach of the conventional systems such as active suspensions(slow active, full active) and four wheel steering(4WS) system is directly to control the same direction with acting load to stabilize vehicle behavior resulting from external inputs, but AGCS controls the cause of vehicle behaviors occurring from vehicle and thus makes the system stable because it works as mechanical system after control action. The effect of AGCS is the remarkable enhancement of avoidance performance in abrupt lane change driving by controlling the rear bump toe geometry.

조종운동이 유발하는 횡경사모우멘트의 불안정거동에 관한 연구 (On the Unstable Behavior of Roll Moment due to the Manoeuvering of a Ship)

  • In order to evaluate rolling characteristics of high speed container carrier the author developed yaw-sway-rudder coupled rool equation, which is likely to be 5th order differential equation. The free rolling time history with particular reference to automatic steering, was computed upon the base of the yaw-sway-rudder coupled roll equation. The computed result explained effects of $C_1$ and $C_2$ on rolling behaviors and furthermore the effect of $C_2$ proved to be very effective where $C_1$ and $C_2$ are yaw gin constant and yaw-rate gain constant of auto-pilot respectively. Computation was carried out using Matsumoto's data of hydrodynamic force derivatives of 5 meter long container model.

Factors Associated With Subjective Life Expectancy: Comparison With Actuarial Life Expectancy

  • Objectives: Subjective life expectancy (SLE) has been found to show a significant association with mortality. In this study, we aimed to investigate the major factors affecting SLE. We also examined whether any differences existed between SLE and actuarial life expectancy (LE) in Korea. Methods: A cross-sectional survey of 1000 individuals in Korea aged 20-59 was conducted. Participants were asked about SLE via a self-reported questionnaire. LE from the National Health Insurance database in Korea was used to evaluate differences between SLE and actuarial LE. Age-adjusted least-squares means, correlations, and regression analyses were used to test the relationship of SLE with four categories of predictors: demographic factors, socioeconomic factors, health behaviors, and psychosocial factors. Results: Among the 1000 participants, women (mean SLE, 83.43 years; 95% confidence interval, 82.41 to 84.46 years; 48% of the total sample) had an expected LE 1.59 years longer than that of men. The socioeconomic factors of household income and housing arrangements were related to SLE. Among the health behaviors, smoking status, alcohol status, and physical activity were associated with SLE. Among the psychosocial factors, stress, self-rated health, and social connectedness were related to SLE. SLE had a positive correlation with actuarial estimates (r=0.61, p<0.001). Gender, household income, history of smoking, and distress were related to the presence of a gap between SLE and actuarial LE. Conclusions: Demographic factors, socioeconomic factors, health behaviors, and psychosocial factors showed significant associations with SLE, in the expected directions. Further studies are needed to determine the reasons for these results.
