FCM과 FSM공법에 의한 강-콘크리트 복합사장교의 신뢰성에 기초한 시공간 구조안전도평가 (Reliability-Based Assessment of Structural Safety of Steel-Concrete Hybrid Cable-Stayed Bridge Erected by the FCM and FSM during Construction)

  • 본 연구에서는 시공간의 구조안전도 확보와 교량붕괴를 방지하기 위해 FCM과 FSM공법으로 가설되는 강-콘크리트 복합사장교의 안전도평가 모형을 제안하였다. 구조물의 저항과 하중효과에 내제된 각종 불확실성을 합리적으로 고려하는 구조신뢰성이론에 의해 강합성거더와 콘크리트거더가 연결된 강-콘크리트 복합사장교의 저항과 하중의 분포특성을 정의하고 가설중 영구구조물과 가설구조물의 강도한계상태방정식을 제안하였다. 케이블, 주탑, 거더, 강-콘크리트 접합부 및 가설벤트의 신뢰성해석을 위해 AFOSM 알고리즘과 MCS 기법을 사용하였다. 또한, 가설단계별 구조시스템에 따라 요소신뢰성해석을 수행하였다. 제안된 평가모형의 타당성과 실용성을 검증하기 위하여 제시된 방법을 실제 교량에 적용하였다. 유사한 교량의 안전도 관리를 위한 중점 항목을 정의하기 위해서 주요 인자에 대한 민감도 분석이 수행되었다. 본 연구를 통해, 제안된 모형은 FCM과 FSM으로 가설되는 강-콘크리트 복합사장교의 시공간 안전도 평가를 위한 합리적이고 실용적인 방법으로 적용될 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 철골 보와 철근콘크리트 기둥으로 구성된 복합 시스템은 철골과 철근콘크리트 간에 재료적인 단점을 보완함으로써 구조 효율성과 시공 생산성을 높이는 이점을 가지고 있다. 이 연구는 철골 보에 현장 타설 철근콘크리트 기둥을 간편하게 접합시킬 수 있는 복합구조 시스템을 개발하고, 그 시스템의 휨 및 전단 저항성능을 시험을 통하여 규명하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다.

Effect of Reinforcing Bar on Rayleigh Wave Propagation on Concrete Structures

  • This paper presents results on a study of the Rayleigh wave scattering in concrete with a steel bar using transient elastic waves. To study the characteristics of the scattered waves induced by a steel bar in concrete, a three-dimensional finite element method was adopted. A case for elastic wave propagation parallel to the steel bar is discussed. The effect of the cover thickness and steel bar diameter on the Rayleigh wave was studied. To confirm the numerical investigations, a concrete specimen containing a steel bar was made, and corresponding transient elastic wave experiments were conducted. It is believed that the result of this study can serve as an important reference in a nondestructive evaluation of concrete with a steel bar.

금속용사 방식공법의 경제성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Economic Evaluation of Thermal Spray Methods for the Corrosion Protection of Steel)

  • Generally, as corrosive protection processing of a steel structure, zinc galvanizing and heavy duty coating paint are applied. However, zinc galvanizing has the difficulty of restriction of a size, or on-site construction. Moreover, heavy duty coating paint has a problem with many administrative and maintenance expenses with short problem of adhesion, corrosion generating of a damage portion, and maintenance management cycle. In this study, a salt water spray test, CASS test, and the electrochemistry examination were carried out for the thermal metal spray method of construction for corrosive protection performance evaluation. Moreover, the corrosive protection life of a thermal metal spray method of construction was quantitatively calculated on the basis of this experiment. in consideration of LCC, the economical efficiency of a general corrosive protection method of construction and a thermal metal corrosive protection method of construction was compared. Consequently, although initial construction expense was estimated 16 to $30\%$ high, as for a thermal metal spray method of construction, it turns out that the administrative and maintenance expenses for 100 years became cheap 9.3 to 13 or more times.

연결 강판을 이용한 모듈러 유닛 간 접합부의 비선형 거동 해석 (Nonlinear Behavior Analysis of Connections Between Modular Units Using Connecting Steel Plate)

  • Modular construction is an economical and efficient construction that reduces time and costs by manufacturing units in factories and constructing them on site. Currently, the demand for modular construction is increasing not only abroad but also domestically. As the demand for modular construction increases, a lot of development and research on connections between modular units are being conducted. Connections between modular units should be quick and simple to assemble when assembling units on site, and should be in a form that allows each unit to be connected regardless of direction. In addition, it must be able to exert sufficient strength against external loads. In this study, a connection between modular units using connecting steel plates and bolts was proposed, and the nonlinear behavior of the connection to external lateral force was analyzed through finite element analysis, and resistance performance was evaluated.

Performance of cold-formed steel wall frames under compression

  • This study presents the strength of braced and unbraced cold-formed steel wall frames consisting of several wall studs acting as columns, top and bottom tracks, and bracing members. The strength and the buckling mode of steel wall frames were found to be different due to the change of bracing type. In addition, the spacing of wall studs is a crucial factor to the strength of steel wall frames. The comparisons were made between the test results and the predictions computed based on AISI Code. The related specifications do not clearly provides the effective length factors for the member of cold-formed steel frame under compression. This paper proposes effective length factors for the steel wall frames based on the test results. A theoretical model is also derived to obtain the modulus of elastic support provided by the bracing at mid-height of steel wall frames in this research.

  • 본 논문은 스테인리스강이 건축구조용으로 이용될 때 중심압축재와 기둥의 최대내력을 수치해석으로 조사한 것이다. STS304의 소재인장시험결과로부터 응력-변형도 관계를 모델화하여 최대내력에 미치는 영향을 조사하였으며 강구조 한계상태설계기준식과의 비교를 시도하였다. 스테인리스강을 건축구조용으로 사용하기 위해서는 별도의 설계기준식이 필요하다는 점이 확인되었다.

Suggestion and Verification of Assessment model on Construction-Cost of Steel Bridge in Project Performance Phases

  • Estimating the reasonable construction-cost according to the construction phase in public construction is an important element for securing and executing a national budget efficiently. As a general rule, the predetermined cost of construction is estimated at the end of the design of the target structure. Therefore, it seems to be a considerably difficult problem to estimate the approximate cost of construction, only with its basic information of the bridge in the design planning phase and the early design stage where we can not have specific detailed-section of the target structure. In this paper, we present the calculation of construction-cost in the planning phase based on the analysis of factors affecting the cost of construction conducted in the previous study. Beside, to estimate the cost of construction in early design phase, we would like to present the calculation of construction-cost in the early design phase by executing the analysis of data collected from 61 steel box bridges. It was found from the result of study that the estimated cost of construction gained by the calculation of construction-cost in this paper reduces the error between the real cost of construction and that by the existing method of using.

  • The corrosion of the embedded steel rebars and the consequent deterioration of the reinforced concrete structure has become a challenging concern to the construction industries for the fiscal deficit. However, corrosion inhibitors are potential and being widely used for corrosion mitigation to solve such problems. This study has been focused on the mixed type of corrosion inhibitor where one component of the corrosion inhibitor is organic and another one is inorganic material. 0.1 (M) triethanolamine (TEA) and 0.01 (M) sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP) have been mixed in distilled water to produce the mixed inhibitor. Studies of the steel rebar corrosion in chloride contaminated (3.5 wt.% NaCl) concrete pore (CCCP) solution has been conducted using different concentrations of corrosion inhibitor. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) method is involved to understand the corrosion behaviour of the steel rebars at different exposure durations.

시공중 강사장교의 극한거동에 대한 해석적 연구 (Analytical Study for Ultimate Behavior of Steel Cable-stayed Bridges under Construction Stage)

  • 본 연구는 데릭크레인과 인양중인 새그먼트 자중에 의한 외력이 작용하는 시공중인 폐합 직전 사장교의 기하비선형성 및 재료비선형성을 고려한 비선형 해석을 통해 극한 거동을 규명하였다. 시공중 사장교의 상태를 수치적으로 구현하기 위해 초기형상 해석과 역방향 시공단계 해석을 순차적으로 진행하였고, 이후에는 데릭크레인 및 인양중인 새그먼트 자중을 중앙경간 최 측단에 재하 하여 폐합 전 강사장교의 주요한 거동을 모사하였다. 또한 주요 매개변수에 따른 극한거동 및 극한하중계수의 변화를 정량적으로 분석하기 위한 방법으로 주탑-거더간 강성비와 케이블 면적을 변화하면서 거동을 관찰하였고, 기하비선형성과 재료비선형성 모두를 고려한 극한해석 결과를 기하비선형성만을 고려한 기하비선형 해석과 비교하여 보다 구체적이고 정량적인 극한거동에 대해 분석하였다.
