월쉬변환영역 유전자 알고리즘에 의한 능동소음제어 (Acitve Noise Control via Walsh Transform Domain Genetic Algorithm)

  • This paper presents an active noise control algorithm via Walsh transform domain controller learned by genetic algorithm. Typical active noise control algorithms such as the filtered-x lms algorithm are based on the gradient algorithm. Gradient algorithm have two major problems; local minima and eigenvalue ratio. To solve these problems, we propose a combined algorithm which consist of genetic learning algorithm and discrete Walsh transform called Walsh Transform Domain Genetic Algorithm(WTDGA). Analyses and computer simulations on the effect of Walsh transform to the genetic algorithm are performed. The results show that WTDGA increase convergence speed and reduce steady state errors.

  • A High-speed cutter, a kind of electric tool is studied to reduce its vibration and noise. The experimental modal analysis, the operational deflection shapes(ODS) and the time domain analysis(TDA) are used in the SMS software to analyze the vibration signals from an operating high-speed cutters under steady state operating condition. The second mode and fifth m,)do of the base plate coincide with the driving frequencies of the motor, And the vibration of the wheel cover is caused by the gap between the main wheel cover and the sub wheel cover. The structural modification for the base plate was done to reduce the vibration. The effect of modification is verified through the test.

하이브리드 제어 알고리즘을 이용한 덕트내 능동소음제어 (Active Noise Control in a Duct System Using the Hybrid Control Algorithm)

  • This study presents the active noise control of duct noise. The duct was excited by a steady-state harmonic and white noise force and the control was performed by one control speaker attached to surface of the duct. An adaptive controller based on filtered x LMS(FXLMS) algorithm was used and controller was defined by minimizing the square of the response of the error microphone. The assemble controller, which is called a hybrid ANC(active noise control) system, was combined with feedforward and feedback controller. The feedforward ANC attenuates primary noise that is correlated with the reference signal, while the feedback ANC cancels the narrowband components of the primary noise that are not observed by the reference sensor. Furthermore, in many ANC applications, the periodic components of noise are the most intense and the feedback ANC system has the effect of reducing the spectral peaks of the primary noise, thus easing the burden of the feedforward ANC filter.

  • This paper presents a digitally speed sensorless control system for induction motor with direct torque control (DTC). Some drawbacks of the classical DTC are the relatively large torque ripple in a low speed range and notable current pulsation during steady state. They are reflected speed response and increased acoustical noise. In this paper, the DTC quick response are preserved at transient state, while better qualify steady state performance is produced by space vector modulation (SVM). The system are closed loop stator flux and torque observer for wide speed range that inputs are currents and voltages sensing of motor terminal, model reference adaptive control (MRAC) with rotor flux linkages for the speed fuming signal at low speed range, two hysteresis controllers and optimal switching look-up table. Simulation results of the suggest system for the 2.2 [kW] general purposed induction motor are presented and discussed.

변형된 디지털 Costas Loop에 관한 연구 (I) 잡음이 없을 경우의 성능 해석 (Analysis of Modified Digital Costas Loop Part I : Performance in the Absence of Noise)

  • 이 논문에서는 변형된 디지탈 Costas loop이라고 불리우는 새로운 형의 digital phase-locked loop(DPLL)을 제안하고 성능을 해석하였다. 제안된 DPLL의 주요 특성은 tan-1(·) 함수를 DPLL에 사용함으로써 phase error detector가 선형 특성을 갖게 되고, 따라서 mod-2π 선형 difference equation에 의해서 그 특성을 설명할 수 있다. 본 논문은 2부로 나뉘어져 1부에서는 먼저 제안된 시스템을 설명하고 잡음이 없는 경우 Phase plane방법에 의해서 1차와 2차 loop의 성능을 해석했다. 초기 조건에 관계없이 locking이 될 수 있는 locking 범위의 식을 유도하고, 경우에 따라서 일어날 수 있는 false lock 또는 oscillation 현상을 설명했다. 이론적인 모든 해석은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의해서 입증되었다. 논문의 2부에서는 잡음이 있을 경우에 제안된 DPLL의 성능을 해석하였다. Chapman-Kolmogorov 방정식을 사용하여 제안된 시스템의 phase error의 steady state probability density함수, mean 및 variance를 얻었다. 이 결과들은 제 2부에 게재 될 것이다.

Using structural intensity approach to characterize vibro-acoustic behavior of the cylindrical shell structure

  • In this paper, the vibro-acoustic behaviors of vibrational cylindrical shells are investigated by using structural intensity approach. The reducing interior noise method for vibrating cylindrical shells is proposed by altering and redistributing the structural intensity through changing the damping property of the structure. The concept of proposed novel method is based on the properties of structural intensity distribution on cylindrical shells under different load and damping conditions, which can reflects power flow in the structures. In the study, the modal formulas of structural intensity are developed for the steady state vibration of cylindrical shell structures. The detailed formulas of structural intensity are derived by substituting modal quantities, in which the effect of main parameters such as weight coefficients and distribution functions on structure intensity are analyzed and discussed. Numerical simulations are first carried out based on the structural intensity analytical solutions of modal formulas. Through simulating the coupling vibration and acoustical radiation problems of cylindrical shell, the relationship between vibro-acoustic and structural intensity distribution is derived. We find that for cylindrical shell, by properly arranging damping conditions, the structural intensity can be efficiently changed and further the noise property can be improved. The proposed methodology has important implications and potential applications in the vibration and noise control of fuselage structure.

시변하는 간단한 유체기계의 덕트 내 음원 특성에 대한 해석적 연구 (On the in-duct acoustical source characteristics of a simplified time-varying fluid machine)

  • Measurement techniques for the in-duct source characteristics of fluid machines can be classified into direct method and load method, according to whether the technique employs an external acoustic source or not. It has been known that the two methods yield different results and the load method used to come up with a negative source resistance, in spite of the fact that a very accurate prediction of radiated noise can be obtained by using any result. This paper is focused to the effect of time-varying nature of fluid machines on the output result. For this purpose, a simplified fluid machine consisting of a reservoir, a valve and a pipe is considered as representing a typical linear, periodic, time-varying system and the measurement techniques are simulated by utilizing the Hill equation and its steady-state forced response. In the load method, the source impedance turns out being dependent on the valve impedance at the calculation frequency and the valve and load impedances at other frequencies as well.

Thermographic Detection of Surface Crack Using Holomorphic Function of Thermal Field

  • This paper describes an analytic method for infrared thermography to detect surface cracks in thin plates. Traditional thermographic method uses the spatial contrast of a thermal field, which is often corrupted by noise in the experiment induced mainly by emissivity variations of target surfaces. This study developed a robust analytic approach to crack detection for thermography using the holomorphic function of a temperature field in thin plate under steady-state thermal conditions. The holomorphic function of a simple temperature field was derived for 2-D heat flow in the plate from Cauchy-Riemann conditions, and applied to define a contour integral that varies depending on the existence and strength of singularity in the domain of integration. It was found that the contour integral at each point of thermal image reduced the noise and temperature variation due to heat conduction, so that it provided a clearer image of the singularity such as cracks.

차량 고급감 향상을 위한 흡배기계 음질지수 개발 (A Development of Sound Quality Index of an Intake and Exhaust System for High Quality Improvement of Luxury Vehicles)

  • In this paper, a sound quality indices for the evaluation of vehicle intake and exhaust noise were developed through a correlation analysis of objective measurement data and subjective evaluation data. At first, intake and exhaust orifice noise were measured at the wide-open throttle sweep condition. And then, acoustic transfer function between intake orifice noise and interior noise at the steady state condition was measured. Also, acoustic transfer function for exhaust system was measured as the same method. Simultaneously, subjective evaluation was carried out by the paired comparison and semantic differential method by 27 engineers. Next, the correlation analysis between the psycho-acoustic parameters derived from the measured data and the subjective evaluation was performed. The most critical factor was determined and the corresponding sound quality index for the intake and exhaust noise was obtained from the multiple factor regression method. At last, the effectiveness of the proposed index was investigated.

Digital Phase-Locked Loops의 위상 포착 관정에 관한 연구 (Acquisition Behavior of a Class of Digital Phase-Locked Loops)

  • 본 논문에서는 Reddy와 Gupta가 제안한 1차 및 2차 디지탈 phase-locked loops(DPLL)에 관하여, 잡음이 없는 상태에서 위상 포착 과정을 연구하여 새로운 결과를 얻었다. 먼저 양자화단계 L과 위상 오차 상태수 N이 위상 포착 과정에서 중요한 위치를 차지하는 것을 보였다. 고정된 L단계 양자화 장치에서, N이 증가함에 따라, 포착 시간은 증가하고 동기 구속 범위는 감소하는 반면, 정상 상태에서의 위상 오차편차는 감소한다. L이 증가하는 경우에는, 포착 시간은 감소하고 동기 구속 범위가 증가하며, 또한 정상 상태에서의 위상 오차는 L의 변화에 거의 영향을 받지 않는다. 포착 과정에서 루프 필터가 미치는 영향에 관해서도 연구되었다. 필터의 변수를 크게 할수록 포착 시간을 줄이며, 구속 범위를 증가시킬 수 있다. 그러나 이 경우 정상 상태에서의 위상 오차 편차는 증가된다. 분석 결과들은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의해 입증했다.
