보조극을 가지는 자동차 시동용 직류 전동기의 특성분석 (Characteristic Analysis of Automotive Starter DC Motor with Auxiliary Pole Core)

  • This paper deals with the effect of the auxiliary pole core in the automotive starter motor on its characteristics. This motor is excited by the permanent magnet and has auxiliary pole core in the stator. The auxiliary pole core is a device to increase the effective flux to obtain the starling torque and prevent the demagnetization of the permanent magnet from the starting current. It Is important to design the auxiliary pore core. And overhang structure causes the electromagnetic phenomenon of 3-dimensional flux Path. Therefore. the characteristic analysis is achieved by the 2-dimensional Finite Element Method (FEM) with the compensated model and the 3-dimensional Equivalent Magnet Circuit Network (3D EMCN). The mechanical loss and the brush and coil resistance are separated from the various experiment of the tested motor, and then these factor are reflected on the analysis results. The validity of the proposed analysis method is verified by comparing the experimental and analysis results. The effects of the design parameters related to the auxiliary pole cote on the motor performance are analyzed by the proposed method.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy advance angle control method is described to drive an industrial low voltage SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor) for 10kW forklift truck. SRM has a highly non-linear characteristic that is due to change the rotor and stator. And low voltage SRM is designed that its phase resistance and phase inductance is very low to inject high current into the phase windings. In this reason, the proper current control is necessary to drive the low voltage SRM efficiently. SRM has positive torque at increasing inductance region and negative torque at decreasing inductance region. Due to this reason, the current has to be built up in the increasing phase inductance part as soon as possible. Therefore, the phase switch must be turned on before the phase inductance increases, and this angle is called as the advance angle. Also, the phase current has to be dropped before the phase inductance decreases. Fuzzy logic is a flexible and general-purposed method of implementing non-linear functions and as such it is useful in control applications. Consequently, we designed a fuzzy advance angle controller to control the phase current appropriately.

  • In a small centrifugal compressor system, a high-speed motor needs to be developed to drive impellers directly. Heat is generated by both electrical heating due to copper coil resistance and aerodynamic heating in the gap between the rotor and stator in a high-speed motor. Removal of the heat is essential to the design of such motors since most magnetic materials are brittle and can be easily fractured by the heat. In the present study the cooling flow fields and temperature distributions were analyzed by using computational fluid dynamics simulation for a high-speed motor which has air cooling system as well as water cooling system. In the analysis a conjugate heat transfer problem is solved by considering both convective heat transfer in the cooling system and conduction heat transfer in solid parts. Based on design drawings of a motor, air cooling system and water cooling system were analyzed to obtain temperature field and thus to check the coiling system performance. Also the cooling performance are studied for various flow rates of cooling air and water at the inlets.

  • 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기의 원활한 제어를 위해서는 전동기의 상수인 고정자 저항이나 각종 인덕턴스의 값, 그리고 쇄교 자속의 값 등을 정확하게 알아야 한다. 그러나 이러한 상수들은 전동기 운행에 따른 전동기 온도의 상승이나 각 작동점 등의 변화에 따라 계속적으로 변하기 때문에 이들의 값을 정확하게 추정하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해서 실시간으로 상수의 값을 추정하는 기법이 필요한데 본 논문에서는 MRAS(Model Reference Adaptive System) 기법을 이용한 상수의 추정 및 적응제어 기법을 제시한다. 시스템의 관계식이 이들 상수에 대해 비선형으로 구성되어 있어 일반적인 제어기법을 적용하는데 문제가 있어 일부 논문에서는 상수의 일부를 안다고 가정하였지만 본 논문에서는 이러한 가정 없이 모든 상수를 추정하는 제어기법을 제시하고 적응제어 기법의 수렴성을 입증하였다. 제시하는 알고리즘의 우수성은 시뮬레이션을 통해 입증하도록 한다.

고속 슬라이딩모드 관측기를 이용한 PMSM 센서리스 속도제어 (PMSM Sensorless Speed Control Using a High Speed Sliding Mode Observer)

  • The paper proposes a sensorless speed control strategy for a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) based on a new SMO (Sliding Mode Observer), which substitutes a signum function with a sigmoid function. To apply robust sensorless control of PMSM against parameter fluctuations and disturbance, the high speed SMO is proposed, which estimates the rotor position and angular velocity from the back EMF. The low-pass filter and additional position compensation of the rotor are used to reduce the chattering problem commonly found in sliding mode observer with signum function, which becomes possible by applying the sigmoid function with the control of a switching function. Also the proposed sliding mode observer with the sigmoid function has better efficiency than the conventional sliding mode observer since it adjusts the observer gain by variable boundary layer and estimates the stator resistance. The stability of the proposed sliding mode observer is verified by the Lyapunov second method in determining the observer gain. The validity of the proposed high speed PMSM sensorless velocity control has been demonstrated by real experiments.

  • This paper proposes analysis and suppression method for reactive power vibration of the slave motor caused by back-EMF mismatch between the master and the slave motor and stator resistance during middle-low speed operation. The master and slave motors are parallel connected dual SPMSMs(Surface mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) fed by a single inverter. To suppress vibration of reactive power, RPC(Reactive Power Compensator) proposed in this paper analyzes flux-axis current vibration of the slave motor that occurs in middle-low speed operation using a mathematical model of the fan motor. And RPC adds vibration components detected from flux-axis current of the slave motor to flux-axis current of the master motor. The results of experiment conducted verify the efficacy of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we found the improved SPICE heat transfer modeling of impulsed magnetizing fixture system and investigated temperature characteristics using the proposed model. As the detailed thermal characteristics of magnetizing fixture can be obtained, the efficient design of the impulsed magnetizing fixture which produce desired magnet will be possible using our heat transfer modeling. The knowledge of the temperature of the magnetizing fixture is very important of forecast the characteristics of the magnetizing fixture which produce desired magnet will be possible using our heat transfer modeling. The knowledge of the temperature of the magnetizing fixture is very important to forecast the characteristics of the magnetizing circuits under different conditions. The capacitor voltage was not raised above 810[V] to protect the magnetizing fixture from excessive heating. The purpose of this work is to compute the temperature increasing for different magnetizing conditions. The method uses multi-lumped model with equivalent thermal resistance and thermal capacitance. The reliable results are obtained by using iron core fixture (stator magnet of air cleaner DC motor) coupled to a low-voltage magnetizer(charging voltage : 1000[V], capacitor : 3825[$\mu$F]. The modeling and experimental results are in close aggrement.

  • 일반적으로 가전기기에서는 재료비와 사용상 제약으로 인해 저가격의 위치센서 또는 센서리스 제어 방법을 사용한다. 기존의 센서리스 기어 방법을 수행할 때 속도와 부하의 변화에 따라 고정자 저항이나 역기전력 상수가 변한다. 따라서, 전동기의 제정수의 변화로 인하여 센서리스 제어시에 위치오차가 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 2개의 홀센서를 사용하여 영구자석형 동기전동기의 센서리스 제어시 발생하게 되는 위치오차를 보상하는 방법을 제안하였다.

  • In this paper, slot less type high-speed and compact motor was designed. it was selected through change of stator coil distribution for the optimal performance of the motor. In this paper, designed motor was expected to be very vulnerable to heat dissipation in a compact motor. Therefore, to ensure reliability in the design result, winding and permanent magnet damage caused by the losses of motor was analyzed by thermal analysis and demagnetization analysis. Using the result, whether motor burnout was confirmed by motor performance degradation and insulation breakdown.

  • To analyze influences under open fault conditions in switching devices, an integrated simulation and condition monitoring scheme for a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) based variable speed grid-connected wind turbine system are presented. Among various faults in power electronics components, the open fault in switching devices may arise when the switches are destructed by an accidental over current, or a fuse for short protection is blown out. Under such a faulty condition, the grid-side inverter as well as the generator-side converter does not operate normally, producing an increase of current harmonics, and a reduction in output and efficiency. As an effective way for a condition monitoring of generation system by online basis without requiring any diagnostic apparatus, the estimation schemes for generated voltage, flux linkage, and stator resistance are proposed and the validity of the proposed scheme is proved through comparative simulations.
