LRFD 설계를 위한 항타강관말뚝의 저항편향계수 산정 (Evaluation of the Resistance Bias Factors to Develop LRFD for Driven Steel Pipe Piles)

  • 국내 기초구조물에 대한 저항계수 산정 및 하중저항계수설계법(LRFD) 개발의 일환으로 항타강관말뚝에 대한 저항편향계수를 산정하였다. 정재하시험 및 지반조사 자료를 수집하여 국내외의 기준에 따른 극한지지력을 산정한 후 말뚝의 대표 극한지지력을 결정하였다. 자료의 통계분석 결과에 기초하면, Davisson 기준이 말뚝의 극한지지력을 가장 합리적으로 평가하는 것으로 나타났다. 정역학적 지지력 공식과 N치를 이용한 Meyerhof 경험식을 이용하여 설계 극한지지력을 산정하였다. 이들 자료의 비교 분석을 통해 항타강관말뚝의 저항편향계수는 정역학적 지지력공식과 Meyerhof 경험식에 대해 각각 0.98, 1.46으로 산정되었다. 또한 두 가지 지지력 산정방법 중 정역학적 지지력공식의 불확실성이 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 나타났다.

산정방법에 따른 단말뚝의 지지력 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Bearing Capacity of Single Pile Based on Calculation Method)

  • Pile load test is good for estimating pile bearing capacity, but using this method is limited by time and cost required. Dynamic and static method is more convenient and economical, but confidence of estimated value by dynamic and static method are lower than that of pile load test. After being compared pile bearing capacity data obtained from pile load test with those of other two methods, the results from this study were summarised as follows. For allowable bearing capacity values greater than 175t per pile, bearing capacity acquired from static method was higher than that acquired from pile load test, whereas bearing capacity acquired from pile load test was higher than that acquired from static method for values under 175 per pile. It was that variance of bearing capacity was large when bearing capacity obtained by dynamic method was higher than 250t. Also bearing capacity based on dynamic method was higher than that based on pile load test. Allowable bearing capacity get from dynamic method suggested that carefull precautions are necessary in application for allowable bearing capacity values higher than 2S0ton per pile.

코어 프로그램이 20대 여성의 정적균형에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Core Program Exercise on Static Balance of Females in Their Twenties)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of core exercise on the static balance for females in their twenties. Methods : The core exercise program was conducted 3 times per week for 4 weeks. The result is based on the analysis of measuring static balance before and after the core exercise program. By using the GOOD BALANCE system, the assessment of the static balance ability was made before and after the exercise of 6 postures: normal standing, one left leg?and one right leg standing with eyes open and closed respectively. For each case, the experimental data were obtained in 3 items: mean X speed, mean Y speed, and velocity moment. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS/Win(10.0) version and Willcoxon signed rank test. Results : From the result of this study, we found that mean X speed, mean Y speed and velocity moment of total postures significantly increased after the 4 week program of core exercises. Conclusion : These finding indicate that core exercises could be beneficial to females in their twenties due to the effect of increasing static balance.

  • 새로운 형태의 교량 거더인 CFTA(Concrete filled and tied tubular steel arch) 거더의 비선형 거동에 대해 고찰한 후, CFTA 거더의 대량 공장 생산시 콘크리트 충진 불량으로 발생할 수 있는 결함인 거더 안의 빈 공간을 탐지하는 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. CFTA 거더 안의 비대칭성 콘크리트 충진 불량 결함을 구조물의 대칭 거동을 이용하여 탐색하였으며, 수치해석과 실험을 통해 제안된 방법을 검증하였다. 제안된 방법을 수치적으로 검증하기 위해 3차원 유한요소모델을 사용하였으며, 실험적으로 검증하기 위해 CFTA거더의 정적 실험자료를 사용하였다.

A Study on the Applicability of the Kinematic and the Static GPS Methods for Coastal Ocean Structure Survey

  • The position fixing usually is determined by triangulation, traverse surveying and astronomy surveying. However, when the station is moving, it is impossible to determine its position continuously by the former method. By a satellite positioning method(GPS), this problem can be solved. In our study, we used two methods to determine the length and coordinate of a point position. One is a kinematic GPS method and the other is a static one. Each is based on carrier phase measurement and employs a relative position technique. We implemented observation experiments such as Geodimeter and DGPS(Differential GPS) successfully. To estimate the accuracy between the kinematic and static methods, we compared the results of Geodimeter, the kinematic, and the static. The results showed that the static is relatively a little more accurate than the kinematic. However, in the kinematic mode, when we received the GPS data for a long time, we found that the kinematic also had a high accuracy value for the length survey Finally, we applied the GPS to Jeju Harbor Breakwater to examine the applicability of GPS for coastal ocean structure based on the kinematics and the statics, respectively.

냉각 유량이 가스 포일 스러스트 베어링의 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Cooling Flow Rate on Gas Foil Thrust Bearing Performance)

  • This paper describes an experimental investigation of the effect of cooling flow rate on gas foil thrust bearing (GFTB) performance. In a newly developed GFTB test rig, a non-contact type pneumatic cylinder provides static loads to the test GFTB and a high-speed motor rotates a thrust runner up to the maximum speed of 80 krpm. Force sensor, torque arm connected to another force sensor, and thermocouples measures the applied static load, drag torque, and bearing temperature, respectively, for cooling flow rates of 0, 25, and 50 LPM at static loads of 50, 100, and 150 N. The test GFTB with the outer radius of 31.5 mm has six top foils supported on bump foil structures. During the series of tests, the transient responses of the bearing drag torque and bearing temperature are recorded until the bearing temperature converges with time for each cooling flow rate and static load. The test data show that the converged temperature decreases with increasing cooling flow rate and increases with increasing static load. The drag torque and friction coefficient decrease with increasing cooling flow rate, which may be attributed to the decrease in viscosity and lubricant (air) temperature. These test results suggest that an increase in cooling flow rate improves GFTB performance.

Prediction of the turning and zig-zag maneuvering performance of a surface combatant with URANS

  • The main objective of this study is to investigate the turning and zig-zag maneuvering performance of the well-known naval surface combatant DTMB (David Taylor Model Basin) 5415 hull with URANS (Unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes) method. Numerical simulations of static drift tests have been performed by a commercial RANS solver based on a finite volume method (FVM) in an unsteady manner. The fluid flow is considered as 3-D, incompressible and fully turbulent. Hydrodynamic analyses have been carried out for a fixed Froude number 0.28. During the analyses, the free surface effects have been taken into account using VOF (Volume of Fluid) method and the hull is considered as fixed. First, the code has been validated with the available experimental data in literature. After validation, static drift, static rudder and drift and rudder tests have been simulated. The forces and moments acting on the hull have been computed with URANS approach. Numerical results have been applied to determine the hydrodynamic maneuvering coefficients, such as, velocity terms and rudder terms. The acceleration, angular velocity and cross-coupled terms have been taken from the available experimental data. A computer program has been developed to apply a fast maneuvering simulation technique. Abkowitz's non-linear mathematical model has been used to calculate the forces and moment acting on the hull during the maneuvering motion. Euler method on the other hand has been applied to solve the simultaneous differential equations. Turning and zig-zag maneuvering simulations have been carried out and the maneuvering characteristics have been determined and the numerical simulation results have been compared with the available data in literature. In addition, viscous effects have been investigated using Eulerian approach for several static drift cases.

Formal Representation and Query for Digital Contents Data

  • Digital contents services are one of the topics that have been intensively studied in the media industry, where various semantic and ontology techniques are applied. However, query execution for ontology data is still inefficient, lack of sufficient extensible definitions for node relationships, and there is no specific semantic method fit for media data representation. In order to make the machine understand digital contents (DCs) data well, we analyze DCs data, including static data and dynamic data, and use ontology to specify and classify objects and the events of the particular objects. Then the formal representation method is proposed which not only redefines DCs data based on the technology of OWL/RDF, but is also combined with media segmentation methods. At the same time, to speed up the access mechanism of DCs data stored under the persistent database, an ontology-based DCs query solution is proposed, which uses the specified distance vector associated to a surveillance of semantic label (annotation) to detect and track a moving or static object.

쇄석다짐말뚝의 극한지지력 데이터베이스 구축 및 통계학적 분석 (Constructing Database and Probabilistic Analysis for Ultimate Bearing Capacity of Aggregate Pier)

  • 국내 외 하중저항계수설계법의 저항계수 보정 시 수집된 데이터베이스의 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위하여 저항편향계수 산정 단계에서 저항편향치의 ${\pm}2{\sigma}$ 범위의 데이터만을 선택하거나 가정된 확률분포 검정을 만족하도록 꼬리(tail)부분의 데이터를 제거하는 방법을 적용하고 있다. 그러나 이들 방법에서는 데이터베이스 내에 우연히 포함된 저품질의 데이터를 확인할 수 없는 단점이 발견되었다. 본 연구에서는 정재하시험의 품질, 원지반의 공학적 특성, 쇄석다짐말뚝의 제원 등의 품질기준을 이용하여 데이터베이스 구축 단계에서 수행할 수 있는 품질평가법을 제안하였으며, 국내 외 문헌 및 정재하시험 보고서로부터 65개소의 정재하시험 데이터를 수집하여 데이터베이스의 구축 및 품질평가를 수행하였다. 데이터베이스의 품질 평가 상태에 따른 저항편향계수와 변동계수, 저항계수를 비교한 결과, 기존의 데이터베이스 처리과정과 품질평가법을 병행할 경우에 저항편향계수의 불확실성이 감소되며, 신뢰도 높은 LRFD 저항계수 보정에 효과적인 것으로 판단된다.

필라테스 동작시 폼롤러의 적용과 움직임에 따른 몸통근과 하지근의 근전도 반응에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Foam Roller Application and Movement on EMG responses of Trunk and Lower Limb muscles in Pilates)

  • 본 연구는 필라테스 동작 시 폼롤러의 적용과 움직임에 따른 몸통과 하지의 근활성도 차이를 알아보는 것이 목적이다. 피험자로 남자 8명을 선정하여 필라테스 네발자세, 교각자세, 코어컨트롤 동작을 매트위에서 정적동작, 폼롤러 위에서 정적동작, 폼롤러 위에서 동적동작으로 무선배정하여 1주 간격으로 수행하였다. 각 동작의 수행 시 척추세움근, 배곧은근, 배바깥빗근, 중간볼기근, 넙다리두갈래근과 넙다리곧은근의 근활성도를 측정하여 일원분산분석으로 분석하였다. 유의수준은 ${\alpha}=.05$로 설정하였다. 첫째, 네발기기 동작에서 폼롤러 동적동작에서는 배곧은근, 배바깥빗근, 중간볼기근, 넙다리두갈래근의 근활성도가 높게 나타났으며(p<.001)(p<.05), 폼롤러 정적동작에서는 넙다리곧은근의 근활성도가 높게 나타났다(p<.001). 둘째, 교각자세 동작에서 폼롤러 동적동작에서는 넙다리두갈래근의 근활성도가 높게 나타났다(p<.001). 셋째, 코어컨트롤 동작에서 폼롤러 동적 동작에서는 배곧은근, 척추세움근, 중간볼기근의 근활성도가 높게 나타났으며(p<.001)(p<.01), 정적 동작에서는 배바깥빗근의 근활성도가 높게 나타났다(p<.05). 필라테스 운동시 근활성도를 고려하여 방법과 난이도를 적용하면 더욱더 효과적일 것이라 사료된다.
