Reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome (RPLS) is an acute encephalopathy, usually characterized by seizures, visual disorder, mental change and reversible posterior white and gray matter lesions on brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Conditions commonly associated with RPLS include acute renal failure, eclampsia, hypertension, immunosuppresion state, and use of intravenous immunoglobulin or chemotherapy, and additional contributing factors. We report the case of RPLS associated with cyclosporine use in lupus nephritis. In this case, it was not clearly elucidated which was main cause of RPLS. We could think RPLS developed maybe due to combined effect of cyclosporine and lupus nephritis.
Recently, it has become a matter of importance concerning a distribution system of the fisheries products in our day, Especially, this paper disregards the fact of changes in demand and distribution system for fisheries products under the period of the high economic growth in Japan. The commercial capital of fisheries products has been modernized by the development of the public market place. The distribution system of fisheries products will rather play an important role than now. In this state, this study is to introduce the development of fish market theroy and attempts to explan the market trends in the production in Japan.
The utility of soil-gas surveys is directly proportional to their accuracy in reflecting and representing changes in the subsurface concentrations of source compounds. Passive soil-gas vapor-phase is merely a fractional trace of the source, so, as a matter of convenience, the units used in reporting detection values from EMFLUX surveys are smaller than those employed for source-compound concentrations. According to the Leaking Underground Storage Tank(LUST) Program Annual Report, approximately 16 U.S. million dollars were spent for environmental site investigations at over 1,600 Underground Storage Tank(UST) sites and approximately over 1,000 acres of land was characterized and remediated in the State of Illinois in the year of 2003 alone. The main purpose of this study is to propose an idea to significantly reduce the site investigation cost by utilizing a passive soil-gas survey and conventional intrusive drilling method and to fully define the three dimensional characteristics of subsurface contamination from two industrial drycleaning facilities.

We report the preparation and properties of polymer paste solutions with CNTs using conventional paste forming process. Electrospinning has been used for the fabrication of nano-fiber composite. In this process, dispersion of CNTs is very important matter. So, we emphasize the necessity of dispersion of CNTs in the solution and investigate effects of process parameters of electrospinning. The advantage of simple electrospinning process will be discussed..
In this talk, I will explain the implications of a rapid appearance of dark energy between the redshifts ($z$) of one and two on the expansion rate and growth of perturbations. Using both Gaussian process regression and a parametric model, I show that this is the preferred solution to the current set of low-redshift ($z<3$) distance measurements if $H_0=73~\rm km\,s^{-1}\,Mpc^{-1}$ to within 1\% and the high-redshift expansion history is unchanged from the $\Lambda$CDM inference by the Planck satellite. Dark energy was effectively non-existent around $z=2$, but its density is close to the $\Lambda$CDM model value today, with an equation of state greater than $-1$ at $z<0.5$. If sources of clustering other than matter are negligible, we show that this expansion history leads to slower growth of perturbations at $z<1$, compared to $\Lambda$CDM, that is measurable by upcoming surveys and can alleviate the $\sigma_8$ tension between the Planck CMB temperature and low-redshift probes of the large-scale structure.

The quest for renewable energy requires us to understand, predict, and ultimately control matter and energy at the electronic, atomic, and molecular levels. The ever-increasing demand to diversify the energy portfolio and to minimize environmental impact while supplying global energy needs, has intensified the urgency for developing alternative energy sources and carriers. Significant research efforts are under way and will continue in a broad range of materials synthesis, use-inspired and fundamental science with the use of light sources such as synchrotron and free electron lasers. Energy-related materials research faces urgent challenges today. We need to go beyond the Edisonian hit and trial approach to more systematic research with the use of advanced tools applicable under realistic in-situ and in-operando conditions capable of exploring electronic and atomic structure of catalysts and energy relevant materials. Through various scientific examples, I will explain the current state-of-the art and future directions in the aforementioned areas of research.

On site, In situ soil remediation technologies are very important among the remediation technologies and in general efficiency of these technologies are turned to site characterization and environmental condition. specially using of only one technology has so many limitation factors. for example, existing state of tailing and channeling and so on. actually, filled land have high concentration cation exchange capacity because of existence in abundance soil organic matter. Therefore we used various on site in Situ technologies by phase for overcome the limitation factors. Target site is petroleum (diesel) impacted filled land and using technologies are SVE(Soil Vapor Extraction), BV(Bioventing), Bioremediation, Soil flushing, Chemical oxidation.
Astronomical observations strongly suggest that the expansion rate of our universe is currently under acceleration. The nature of the so-called dark energy causing the acceleration is unknown, and it is one of the fundamental mysteries in the present day theoretical cosmology. Here we briefly review the current state of cosmic dark energy research in both theoretical and observational sides. Constraints on dynamical dark energy models (e.g., w-fluid, quintessence, and modified gravity) with recent observational data from type Ia supernovae, cosmic microwave background radiation, and large-scale structures in the universe indicate a preferred direction toward the simplest ${\Lambda}$CDM world model. We also discuss some issues regarding the early dark energy model and the spherical collapse of matter in the presence of dark energy.
The extended Lyα nebulae (also known as Lyα blobs or LABs) observed at z=2-6 can provide clues to galaxy formation in the early universe. The connection of LABs with the overdensities of compact Lyα emitters suggests that they are associated with matter density peaks in the universe and thus likely to evolve into the present-day groups and clusters of galaxies. However, the mechanism powering the extended Lyα emission in LABs is remained controversial. The detection of polarization signals that follow the theoretically predicted trend is interpreted as strong evidence supporting that the LABs are caused primarily by the resonance scattering of Lyα originating from star-forming galaxies and AGNs. However, Trebitsch et al. (2016) claimed that the radial profile of polarization could be better explained by the scenario in which Lyα photons are produced in the cooling gas surrounding galaxies and then self-scattered by the gas, rather than by the scattering scenario of photons originating from the central galaxies. In this presentation, using LaRT, a state-of-art Lyα radiative transfer code, it is demonstrated that the observed polarization pattern can be reproduced even with the scattering scenario.
The purpose of this paper is to 1)examine the current state of cultural studies in Korea with a focus on recent discourses about its 'crisis' and 2)attempt to find some ways out of these dilemmas in drama/theatre/performance studies. As Raymond Williams redefined 'culture' as 'a whole way of life,' performance studies has expanded the boundary of 'performance' from traditional performing arts onto almost everything that can be studied and analyzed 'as' performance. Performance is not only the final product on display but a whole process that includes training, workshop, and rehearsal of culture. According to Richard Schechner, workshop and rehearsal are the most critical and creative 'liminal' phases that allow traditional knowledge and alternative challenges to coexist in conflict and intentionally delay the final decision by putting itself in a perpetual process. From this view, this essay attempts to find an-no matter how limited and temporary-answer to or a possible exit from political and theoretical aporias of cultural studies.
