Fifteen years have passed since the enactment of the Industrial Technology Innovation Promotion Act, which promoted industry cooperation activities for universities. Therefore, the study analyzes the relationship between the university's industrial cooperation activities and the college graduates' starting salaries and provides policy suggestions on improving the direction of university-industry cooperation. The study used nine-year panel data from Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey (GOMS) to conduct an empirical analysis and found that starting salaries of college graduates were not significantly higher if the university only participated in basic industry cooperation activities. On the other hand, when the quality of university-industry cooperation activities was higher, such as job search support, the starting salary of college graduates was higher. The findings suggest that university-industry cooperation activities must focus on qualitative performances rather than quantitative approaches.

In this paper, we investigate the effects of performance and non-performance variables attributed to Korean professional baseball pitchers on annual salary by the records about pitchers between 2010 and 2016. We select the variables in reference to previous research related to this topic. The models are then estimated using linear regression model. For pitchers, age, experience in the league, year, eligibility for free agency, the number of wins, WAR, the number of innings pitched, the number of games, the number of saves, the number of games started, and type of baseball team have a statistically significant effect. Among the notable factors, affecting pitchers salaries are largely measure of starting pitchers. Pitcher sabermetrics indexes were poorly reflected on annual salary. The model presented here can be used to remove any unobjective salary differences for Korean professional baseball pitchers.

Objectives : This study confirmed the limitation of long-term care insurance by analyzing media contents. Methods : Articles and reviews were searched with the article searching system (KINDS) from July 2008 to December, 2015. Results : Among the 155 articles examined, 61.1% highlighted the faults of suppliers, and 25.2% indicated the responsibility of the insurer. As for their purpose, 56.8% reported on accidents, and 32.3% provided information. Furthermore, 74.2% reported on negative contents and only 25.8% on neutral contents. The negative contents consisted of requesting false insurance benefits, amending the range and price indicating the very low salaries of the care givers, limitations on the care grade assessment, and problems related with assistive devices. The majority of neutral articles is for providing information. Conclusions : There were many problems starting from the early stage of the insurance. We must pay attention to these problems. Moreover, we should try to handle and prevent these problems with supportive responses from authorities.
