분광측색법에 의한 색인쇄물의 측색 및 해석 (Color Measurements and Colorimetric Analysis of Reproduced Colors with the Weighted-Ordinatc Method)

  • Reproduced colors which are half-tone dot printed at the rate of 10, 20, 30, 100% half-tone dot area by each process ink-cyan, magenta and yellow ant at the rate of 10, 20, 30, 100% by the mean color mixing of black, cyan, magenta and yellow, are colorimetric analyzed by make use of the 1931 CIE XYZ system of color specification and matching the Munsell color system. With increased half-tone areas, 1. Yellow has ideal reflectance curve, but magneta has nonideal reflectance curve. 2. Yellow and cyan have almost standard dominant wavelengths but magenta has complementary wavelengths. 3. Yellow has higher excitation purities in primary colors, but low excitation purities in secondary and third colors. 4. Value function is decreased and generally the range of value function in chromaticity diafgram is extented. 5. The properties of black and CMY printed materials have not equality, therefore black process ink is necessery in half-tone printing process.

Implementation of Tone Control Module in Anchor System for Improved Audio Quality

  • Recently, audio systems are changing the configuration of conventional sound reinforcement (SR) systems and public address (PA) systems by using audio over IP (AoIP), a technology that can transmit and receive audio signals based on internet protocol (IP). With the advancement of IP technology, AoIP technologies are leading the audio market and various technologies are being released. In particular, audio networks and control hierarchy over peer-to-peer (Anchor) technology based on AoIP is a system that transmits and receives audio signals over a wide bandwidth without an audio mixer, creating a novel paradigm for existing audio system configurations. Anchor technology forms an audio system by connecting audio sources and output equipment with On-site audio center (OAC), a device that can transmit and receive IP. Anchor's receiving OAC is capable of receiving and mixing audio signals transmitted from different IPs, making it possible to configure a novel audio system by replacing the conventional audio mixer. However, Anchor technology does not have the ability to provide audio effects to input devices such as microphones and instruments in the audio system configuration. Due to this, when individual control of each audio source is required, there is a problem of not being able to control the input signal, and it is impossible to individually affect a specific input signal. In this paper, we implemented a tone control module that can individually control the tone of the audio source of the input device using the audio processor core in the audio system based on Anchor technology, tone control for audio sources is possible through a tone control module connected to the transmitting OAC. As a result of the study, we confirmed that OAC receives the signal from the audio source, adjusts the tone and outputs it on the tone control module. Based on this, it was possible to solve problems that occurred in Anchor technology through transmitting OAC and tone control modules. In the future, we hope that the audio system configuration using Anchor technology will become established as the standard for audio equipment.

HDR와 SDR 비디오의 스케일러블 부호화를 위한 계층 압축 기법 (Layered Coding Method for Scalable Coding of HDR and SDR videos)

  • 본 논문에서는 SHVC (Scalable High Efficiency Video Coding)의 계층적 부호화 구조를 기반으로 HDR (High Dynamic Range) 영상과 SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) 영상의 부호화 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문의 제안하는 방법은 SHVC 계층적 부호화 구조 중 기본 계층에서 SDR 영상을 부호화 및 복호화하여, 기존의 디스플레이 장치에 대한 하위 호환성을 제공하고, 향상 계층에서 HDR 영상에 대한 부호화 및 복호화를 수행한다. 또한, 기본 계층의 복원 영상에 전역 역 톤 맵핑 (Global inverse tone mapping)을 수행하여 향상 계층의 참조 영상으로 사용함으로써 HDR 영상의 부호화 효율을 향상시켰다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법을 통해 기존의 SHVC 레퍼런스 소프트웨어인 SHM7.0 대비 약 향상 계층에서 평균 43%, 최대 76.3%의 BD-Bitrate 감소를 얻을 수 있었으며, 기본 계층과 향상 계층 전체에서 평균 15.7%, 최대 31%의 BD-Bitrate 감소를 보였다.

A Tone Mapping Algorithm Based on Multi-scale Decomposition

  • High dynamic range (HDR) images can present the perfect real scene and rich color information. A commonly encountered problem in practical applications is how to well visualize HDR images on standard display devices. In this paper, we propose a multi-scale decomposition method using guided filtering for HDR image tone mapping. In our algorithm, HDR images are directly decomposed into three layers:base layer, coarse scale detail layer and fine detail layer. We propose an effective function to compress the base layer and the coarse scale detail layer. An adaptive function is also proposed for detail adjustment. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm effectively accomplishes dynamic range compression and maintains good global contrast as well as local contrast. It also presents more image details and keeps high color saturation.

변조 방식과 채널 코드에 따른 EFTS 성능 비교 (Performance Comparison of EFTS According by Modulations and Channel Codes)

  • 최근에 Standard 톤 방식의 FTS(Flight Termination System)는 보안 및 다수의 발사체가 동시에 운영될 때 문제가 있음이 보고되어, 차세대 FTS의 도입이 검토되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 차세대 FTS로 도입이 검토되고 있는 EFTS(Enhanced FTS)의 변조 방식 및 채널 코드에 따른 BER 성능을 비교하였다. EFTS의 변조 방식으로는 비동기 BFSK, 동기 BPSK, 비동기 DPSK, 동기 CPFSK 그리고 비동기 CPFSK의 성능을 비교 검토하였으며, 채널 코드로는 컨볼류션널, RS 그리고 BCH의 성능을 비교하였다. EFTS의 변조 방식의 성능 시뮬레이션 결과 동기 방식이 비동기 방식에 비해 우수한 성능을 가짐을 확인하였다. 그러나 동기 방식은 발사체의 환경에서 동기의 획득 및 유지문제 그리고 동기를 위해서 추가적으로 사용되는 부품들의 신뢰성을 고려하면 도입이 어렵다. 비동기 방식에서는 DPSK, 비동기 CPFSK 그리고 비동기 BFSK 순서로 BER 성능이 좋은 것으로 시뮬레이션되었다. 그러나 DPSK 변조의 경우 PEP(Peak Enveop Power)가 약 2.6dB(rolloff 0.5인 경우)로 CPFSK의 PEP 1.8dB 보다 크기 때문에 송신기의 구성측면에서 불리하다. 채널 코드에 따른 성능 시뮬레이션 결과를 보면 컨볼루션널 코드가 다소 좋은 성능을 보이지만, 원하는 BER을 갖는 $E_b/N_0$ 부근에서는 RS의 BER 성능 개선 정도가 더 우수함을 확인하였다.

  • This paper discribes the nonlinear distortion of a pHEMT power amplifier. In the paper, we have used some commercially available power amplifiers for analyzing the relationship between the $IMD_3$ and ACPR for wireless LAN. And the $IMD_3$ results using two-tone test have been compared with ACPR to satisfy the requited 802.11g standard ACPR value. Measurement result shows that $IMD_3$ of 20MHz tone-spacing need to be more than 18.45dBc for power amplifiers. The WCDMA signal is fed into the power amplifier, for analyzing relationship between the asymmetrical $IMD_3$ and ACLR. With measurement result, the asymmetrical $IMD_3$ characteristic has increased with the increase of two-tone spacing. $IMD_3$ measurement result with maximum 20MHz of the two-tone spacing, shows that the difference between $IMD_3(lower)$ and $IMD_3(upper)$ is about 7dB. And the measured ACLR shows 5dB difference at -4MHz and +4MHz offset from center frequency.

블록별 양자화를 이용한 HDR 영상의 효율적인 JPEG 압축 기법 (Block Based Efficient JPEG Encoding Algorithm for HDR Images)

  • 본 논문은 HDR(High Dynamic Range) 영상을 기존의 JPEG 압축 방법을 이용하여 효율적으로 압축할 수 있는 방안을 제안한다. 입력 HDR 영상을 동적 영역 압축(Dynamic range compression)하여 통해 얻어지는 LDR(Low Dynamic Rage) 영상 및 HDR 영상과 LDR영상의 비율을 나타내는 비율 (Ratio) 영상으로 분리한다. LDR 영상은 하위 호환성을 유지하기 위해 기존의 JPEG 알고리듬을 이용하여 압축하며, 비율 영상은 각 블록별로 HVS(Human Visual System)이 인지하는 차이를 모델링 한 비용함수를 최소화 하도록 압축한다. 따라서 제안하는 알고리듬을 적용하면 동일한 조건에서 압축된 결과 영상에 왜곡이 적게 발생하게 되며, 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 그 유효성을 확인한다.

청년과 노인 남성 척주세움근의 노화에 따른 물리적 성질 변화 (Aging-related Changes of the Mechanical Properties of the Erector Spinae Muscles in Young and Elderly Men)

  • Purpose : This study aimed to investigate age-related mechanical changes in the erector spinae muscles, specifically in terms of tone, elasticity, and stiffness, in the elderly population compared to the younger population Methods : The mechanical properties, including tone, elasticity, and stiffness, of the erector spinae muscles were measured using myotonometry in 47 male adult subjects, divided into the younger group (23 subjects aged 19 to 28 years) and the elderly group (22 subjects aged 69 to 83 years). The measurements were performed in both the prone and sitting positions. The tone, elasticity, and stiffness of the erector spinae muscles were statistically compared between the two groups using a t-test. Results : The study showed increased stiffness and decreased elasticity in the erector spinae muscles in the elderly group compared to the younger group (p<0.01~0.001). The results were similar in both the prone and sitting positions. Conclusion : There are age-related degenerative changes that affect the mechanical properties of the erector spinae muscles. In addition, myotonometry can be suggested to be a useful examination tool in evaluating these changes provided that further studies are conducted and standard methods of application have been established in the future.

한국 전통 자수의 색채와 배색에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Coloring and the Arrangement of Colors of Korean Traditional Embroidery)

  • This study examines the Korean traditional and characteristic coloring through the color of Korean traditional embroidery. This research gives the chance to establish the cultural identity of Korea and presents the aesthetic standard of color images. Also, practical use of Korean traditional colors through this study provide opportunities which develope cultural merchandise in the world. were chosen as the references to analyzed the Korean traditional colors through gungsu: court embroidery, buddhist embroidery, everyday embroidery and clothing embroidery. Because this book published in commemoration of '20th General Conference and 21th General Assembly of ICOM' in 2004, which presented excellence of Asian culture. The color of these works were divided by 'Pantone Solid Color Chips' which organized by CMYK color system and categorized by Obangsaek. 'Gungsu' had vivid and splendid color sense which used strong and bright colors and 'buddhist embroidery' had mild and mysterious feelings which used low saturation.'Everyday embroidery' used the red color group frequently and 'clothing embroidery' had brighter colors comparing to other embroidery groups. The 'Chung(blue)' group had diverse color tone rather than one-tone color. This means that Koreans prefer the 'Chung' and used it regularly, also this color symbolized the racial characteristics. Even though 'Whang(yellow)' was prohibited because the color for emperor, in the case of embroidery, there were a variety of yellow colors from 'gold' to pale yellow and grayish yellow. The arrangement of colors in 'gungsu', tone on tone, complementary and bicolore coloring was used mostly which presented a strong and elegant color sense. On the other side, 'buddhist embroidery' used tonal coloring which gave gentle and noble feeling. 'Everyday embroidery' presented separation and accented coloring which was the example of common people's humor and originality. In the case of 'clothing embroidery', there was dominant lightness, separation, tone on tone and camaieu coloring which added gorgeousness in Korean traditional clothing.

효율적인 감성색채교육을 위한 휴 앤드 톤 컬러 시스템의 설계 연구 (Design Research of Hue and Tone Color System for Efficient Sensual Color Education)

  • The importance of color is increasing in modern life and we call such present age that is 'color age'. These day that all areas of life are being getting fashionize, ordinary people as well as design specialist are required of culture and knowledge about color. Color design education is important curriculum at liberal arts course and in special design trainning course. Color expresses by hue, value and chroma in Munsell color system. But design spot is using mainly hue and tone color system. Therefore it is very important that educate tone concept in color design education. When think influence that increase of color, we must develop hue and tone color system in suitable for color design education. This research designed usable 'Hue and Tone 313 Colot System' for efficeint sensual color education. Also I designed 313 color papers with attached the Munsell notation which could reappear the spare color paper when needed. The 10 hues classification of this system are Red, Yellow Red, Yellow, Green Yellow, Green, Blue Green, Blue, Purple Blue, Purple, Red Purple. The 19 tones classification of this system are vivid, light, standard, deep, pale, soft, dull, dark, very pale, light grayish, medium grayish, dark grayish, very dark, off White, off Pale, off Light Gray, off Medium Gray, off Dark Gray, off Black. The special colors of this system are gold, silver and copper.
