Self-assembled moolayers as anti-stiction coating for imprint (임프린트를 위한 자기조립단분자 이형코팅)

  • Ni stamper위에 100nm의 Si 코팅후 자기조립 단문자막(SAM)을 액상 코팅방식으로 형성 하였고, 내구성 및 열적 안정성을 검증하기 위해 반복적인 이형 및 압력인가test가 실시하였다. 20 회 이상의 이형실험을 통해 열적, 기계적 안정성을 확인하고, 접촉각 측정을 통해 이형특성의 안정성도 고찰하였다. 이를 Imprint공법을 적용 fine pattern의 구조물을 얻을수 있었다. SAM코팅은 TRICHLOROSILANE을 사용하였으며 Hexane과 1000:1의 비율로 섞어서 stirrer에서 mixing하는 방식을 사용했으며, UV-ozone처리를 통한 이형성 제거 효과도 관찰하였다.

Technology to Fabricate PMMA Light Guiding Plate with nano pattern Using Nano Imprinting Technology (나노 임프린팅 기술에 의한 나노패턴을 갖는 PMMA 도광판 제조 기술)

  • PMMA light guiding plate with nano pattern was fabricated by nano imprinting technology. Silicon mold was fabricated by conventional photolithography. A nickel stamper was fabricated by electroplating process using silicon mold. Nano imprinting was performed on PMMA plate at $140^{\circ}C$ under pressure of 20kN. The nano pattern on PMMA plate was investigated using FE-SEM.

  • Sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) is seldom associated with Wernicke encephalopathy (WE) or thiamine deficiency. While thiamine deficiency and repletion are often considered prior to dextrose infusions in patients with chronic alcohol abuse to prevent WE, they are often overlooked in non-alcoholic patients who are also at risk for malnutrition. In this paper we describe a case of a non-alcoholic 28-year-old female status post-sleeve gastrectomy who developed SNHL in the setting of thiamine deficiency and WE, with ongoing hearing impairment requiring hearing aids despite thiamine repletion.

Development of control technique of nano-sized pattern for electroplating (나노급 도금공정을 위한 미세패턴 제어기술의 개발)

  • The alumina membrane with nano sized pore was prepared from aluminum by anodic oxidation to apply for storage equipment, gas sensor and stamper. The pore size and cell size of the pores are controlled by anodic oxidation voltage. The alumina thickness was controlled by etching process using 0.2M $H_3PO_4$. The thickness of alumina on Si wafer was very accurately controlled by anodic oxidation time. Nickel with nano-sized grain was electroplated on the Au layer on silicon wafer. The fabricated pores on alumina membrane was the thickness of $7{\sim}10{\mu}m$ with straight nano-sized pore of 307${\sim}$120nm. The alumina by the etching process shows smooth surface. The size of Ni grain was 130nm and 250nm for 10mA/$cm^2$and 20mA/$cm^2$of electroplating currents, respectively.

Modeling of Passive Heating for Replicating Sub-micron Patterns in Optical Disk Substrates (단열층을 이용한 광디스크 기판 성형에 대한 수치 해석)

  • Transcribability of pit or land groove structures in replicating an optical disk substrate greatly affects the performance of a high-density optical disk. However, a solidified layer, generated during the polymer filling, deteriorates transcribability because the solidified layer prevents the polymer melt in filling the sub-micro patterns. Therefore, the development of the solidified layer during filling stage of injection molding must be delayed. For this delay, passive heating by insulation layer has been used. In the present study, to examine the development of the solidified layer delayed by passive heating, the flow of polymer melt with passive heating was analyzed. Passive heating markedly delayed the development of the solidified layer, reduced the viscosity of the polymer melt, and increased the fluidity of the polymer melt in the vicinity of the stamper surface with the sub-micro patterns. As a result, we predict that passive heating can improve transcribability of an optical disk substrate. To verify our prediction, we fabricated an optical disk substrate by using passive heating of a mold and measured the transcribability.

  • Recently, the trends of TFT-LCD are large scale and thin thickness, so, the demands of Light Guide Panel(LGP) which is able to substitute for prism sheets are appeared. Functions of LGP obtaining polarization of light of the prism sheet as well as the incidence and reflection of light are demanded. This prismless type LGP to complete functions of the existing LGP and polarization at once must be supported by micro machining technology of LGP surface. In this research, we have used the STAMPER method for the mass product and In-Line process, and the optimized conditions are established by analyzing the cutting force and conditions according to the material and processing properties when the prismless type LGP mold is fabricated. Parameters of the cutting condition were the workpiece and cutting depth.

A Study on the Improvement of Optical Efficiency for The 2 inch LGP Considering Injection Molding Characteristics (사출성형 특성을 고려한 2인치 도광판의 광효율 향상에 관한 연구)

  • LGP is a key component of LCD back light unit because it determines brightness and sharpness of the display image. Usually, it has optical patterns fabricated on the bottom surface. These optical patterns convert point or line sources placed in the side of LGP to plane source at the top surface by changing the propagating direction of the incident light. In the present paper the LiGA-reflow method was applied to fabricate the LGP mold. Furthermore, the optical simulation considering the replication ratio of pattern height was applied to the pattern design. The optical simulation through systematic correction scheme was adopted to find the optimum distribution of pattern density. Finally, the stamper fabricated by this method was installed in the mold and LGP was produced by injection molding. As a result of luminance measurement for the final product, the average luminance and luminance uniformity was measured 3,180 nit and 84%, respectively. Consequently, the mold fabrication method using the LiGA-reflow and optical simulation(CAE) can save the expense and time compared with the existing fabrication methods(laser ablation and chemical etching).
