초전도 NMR-CT의 영상 원리 및 그 응용

  • Microspheres are expected to be applied to biomedical areas such as solid-phase immunoassays, drug delivery systems, immunomagnetic cell separation. To synthesize microspheres for biomedical application, "two stage shot growth method" was developed. The uniformity ratio of synthesized microspheres was always smaller than 1.05. And the surface charge density (or the number of ionizable functional groups) of the microspheres synthesized by "two stage shot growth method" was 6~13 times higher than that of the microspheres synthesized by conventional seeded batch copolymerization. As a previous step for biomedical application, adsorption experiments of bovine albumin on microspheres were carried out under various conditions. The maximum adsorbed amount was obtained in the neighborhood of pH 4.5. Isoelectric point of bovine albumin is pH 5.0, so experimental result shows that it shifted to acid area. The adsorption isotherm was obtained, the plateau region was always reached at 2.Og/L (bulk concentration of bovine albumin).The effect of the kind and the amount of surface functional group was also examined.p was also examined.

단단 천음속 축류압축기 동익의 Stacking Line 설계 최적화 (Optimal Design for Stacking Line of Rotor Blade in a Single-Stage Transonic Axial Compressor)

  • Shape optimization of a rotor blade in a single-stage transonic axial compressor has been performed using a response surface method and three-dimensional Navier-Stokes analysis. Two shape variables of the rotor blade, which are used to define a blade skew, are introduced to increase an adiabatic efficiency. Throughout the shape optimization of a rotor blade, the adiabatic efficiency is increased to about 2.2 percent compared to that of the reference shape of the stator. The increase in efficiency for the optimal shape of the rotor is due to the pressure enhancement, which is mainly caused by moving the separation position on the suction surface of rotor blade to the downstream direction.

Linking bilinear traction law parameters to cohesive zone length for laminated composites and bonded joints

  • A theoretical exploration for determining the characteristic length of the cohesive zone for a double cantilever beam (DCB) specimen under mode I loading was conducted. Two traction-separation laws were studied: (i) a law with only a linear elastic stage from zero to full traction strength; and (ii) a bilinear traction law illustrating a progressive softening stage. Two analytical solutions were derived for the first law, which fit well into two existing solution groups. A transcendental equation was derived for the bilinear traction law, and a graphical method was presented to identify the resultant cohesive zone length. The study using the bilinear traction law enabled the theoretical investigation of the individual effects of cohesive law parameters (i.e., strength, stiffness, and fracture energy) on the cohesive zone length. Correlations between the theoretical and finite element (FE) results were assessed. Effects of traction law parameters on the cohesive zone length were discussed.

  • This paper presents a recursive least square estimation algorithm to estimate parameters of the vector controlled induction machine based on measurements of the stator voltage, curents and slip frequency. Due to its recursive structure, this algorithm has the potential to be used for on-line estimation and adaptive control. The algorithm is designed using regression model derived from the motor electrical equation. This model is valid when there is a tittle-scale separation between vector control system and adaptive system. Vector control performed at fast stage and slow stage is in charge of parameters estimation. The performance of tile algorithm is illustrated by means of simulation results and experiment.

  • 발사체 RCS는 발사체의 롤, 피치, 요방향의 자세제어뿐만 아니라 상단의 자세제어를 담당하는 핵심부품으로서 발사체의 임무요구조건에 따라 하이드라진을 이용한 단일추진제, UDMH/NTO를 이용한 이원추진제, 그리고 소형발사체의 경우 GN2를 이용한 냉가스시스템 등으로 분류된다. 본 연구에서는 해외 상용발사체를 중심으로 발사체에 대한 간략한 소개 및 RCS에 적용되는 최신 기술, 개발현황 등에 대해 기술하였다.

Investigation on the flexural behavior of an innovative U-shaped steel-concrete composite beam

  • Within the French CIFRE research project COMINO, an innovative type of composite beam was developed for buildings that need fire resistance with no additional supports in construction stage. The developed solution is composed of a steel U-shaped beam acting as a formwork in construction stage for a reinforced concrete part that provides the fire resistance. In the exploitation stage, the steel and the reinforced concrete are acting together as a composite beam. This paper presents the investigation made on the load bearing capacity of this new developed steel-concrete composite section. A full-scale test has been carried out at the Laboratory of Structural Engineering of the University of Luxembourg. The paper presents the configuration of the specimen, the fabrication process and the obtained test results. The beam behaved compositely and exhibited high ductility and bending resistance. The shear connection in the tension zone was effective. The beam failed by a separation between the slab and the beam at high deformations, excessive shear forces conducted to a failure of the stirrups in this zone. The test results are then compared with good agreement to analytical methods of design based on EN 1994 and design guidelines are given.

SVM과 선택적 주파수 차감법을 이용한 음악에서의 보컬 분리 (Vocal Separation in Music Using SVM and Selective Frequency Subtraction)

  • 최근 원음 반주기에 대한 관심이 증가됨에 따라 고가의 스튜디오 직접 녹음 방법 대신 보다 저렴한 방법을 시도하고 있다. 그 구체적인 방법으로는 가수의 음악 앨범에서 가수의 목소리만 제거하여 원음 반주 음원을 만드는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 스테레오로 녹음된 반주음악에서 보컬을 분리하는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 두 단계로 구성된다. 첫 단계는 보컬을 검출하는 단계이다. 이 단계에서는 MFCC를 가지고 SVM 방법을 이용하여 입력 신호를 보컬 부분과 비보컬 부분으로 분리한다. 두 번째 단계에서는 보컬 부분에 대해 각 주파수 빈별로 선택적 주파수 차감을 수행한다. 제안하는 방법으로 보컬을 제거한 음악에 대한 청취실험에서 상대적으로 높은 만족도를 보여준다.

  • A numerical analysis using 2-D unsteady compressible program is conducted to explain characteristics of rotating stall such as rotating speed and number of stall cells in an one-stage axial compressor. Unlike an axial compressor which has only a rotor, in one-stage axial compressor a rotating stall is generated by rotor/stator interaction and tack pressure rising without any artificial disturbance and modeling. As a back pressure is raised, the separation of suction side at blades is increased uniformly, but because of the discrepancy of blockage effect by stator, the disturbances are generated to form a stall cell. Once the stall cell is formed, regularly the stall cell are rotating through rotor blades. When the speed of rotor is design speed the rotating speed of stall cell is $83.3\%$ of rotor rotating speed. When the speed of rotor is $80\%$ of design speed, the speed of rotating stall is $88.2\%$ of rotor speed. The number of generated stall cell are also varied for rotor speed and back pressure.

Thermal Analysis on a Satellite Box during Launch Stage by Analytical Solution

  • Simple methods are developed to predict temperatures of a satellite box during launch stage. The box is mounted on outer surface of satellite and directly exposed to space thermal environment for the time period from fairing jettison to separation. These simple methods are to solve a 1st order ordinary differential equation (ODE) which is simplified from the governing equation after applying several assumptions. The existence of analytical solution for the 1st order ODE is determined depending on treatment of time-dependent molecular heating term. Even for the case that the analytical solution is not available due to the time dependent term, the 1st order ODE can be solved by relatively simple numerical techniques. The temperature difference between two different approaches (analytical and numerical solutions) is relatively small (Jess than $1^{\circ}C$ along the time line) when they are applied to STSAT-I launch scenario. The present methods can be generally used as tools to quickly check whether a satellite box is safe against space environment during the launch stage for the case that the detailed thermal analysis is not available.

고추의 성숙에 따른 세포벽 다당류의 변화와 ${\beta}-Galactosidase$ Isozymes의 분리 (Ripening Related Changes in Hot Pepper Fruit Cell Walls Structural Alterations of Cell Wall Polysaccharides and Separation of Galactosidase Isozymes)

  • Various cell wall polysaccharides and related enzyme activities in hot pepper fruit were determined at different stages of maturity. The uronic acid content of cell walls decreased between immature green and turning stage fruit and then increased by red ripe stage. In contrast, cellulose content of cell walls changed only a little during ripening. Total neutal sugar content of cell wall material decreased 50% and galactose content of the walls decreased about 80% by the turning stage. Polygalacturonase and ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activities, as well as total hemicellulose from isolated cell walls of ripening hot pepper fruit were studied using gel filtration chromatography. Polygalacturonase activity was not detectable but 5 isozymes of ${\beta}-galactosidase$ were resolved. The activities of the enzymes were relatively high and gel filtration showed that they differed in molecular weight. Hemicellulose content decreased during ripening and softening. The molecular weight profiles shifted from high molecular weight to low molecular weight polymers during ripening. The changes in cell walls that may be associated with fruit softening involve the alteration of hemicellulose prior to the degradation of wall-bound uronic acid. It is suggested that the decrease in cell wall galactose involved changes in turnover of new cell wall components.
