$Sr_xBi_{2.4}Ta_2O_9$ (SBT) thin films of 150 nm thickness were prepared using LSMCD (Liquid Source Misted Chemical Deposition) process with variation of the Sr/Ta mole ratio of 0.35~0.65, and their crystalline phase, microstructure, ferroelectric properties and leakage current characteristics were investigated. Ferroelectric characteristics of the LSMCD-derived SBT films were optimized at the Sr/Ta moleratio of 0.425. The remanent polarization (2Pr) and coercive field (Ec) of the SBT film with the Sr/Ta mole ratio of 0.425 were measured as 15.01 $\mu$C/$ \textrm{cm}^2$ and 41 kV/cm at an applied voltage of $\pm$5 V respectively. LSMCD-derived SBT films with the Sr/Ta mole ratio of 0.35~0.5 exhibited leakage current densities lower than $10^{-5} A/\textrm{cm}^2$ at an applied field of 100 kV/cm, and excellent fatigue-free characteristics of the remanent polarization decrement less than 1% after $10^{10}$ switching cycles at$\pm$5 V.
The crystal structures of $Sr_{31}K_{30}-X\;(Sr_{31}K_{30}Si_{100}A1_{92}O_{384};\;a=25.169(5) {\AA}$) and $Sr_{8.5}Tl_{75}-X (Sr_{8.5}Tl_{75}Si_{100}A1_{92}O_{384};\;a=25.041(5) {\AA}$) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques in the cubic space group $\=F{d3}\;at\;21(1)^{\circ}C$. Each crystal was prepared by ion exchange in a flowing stream of aqueous $Sr(ClO_4)_2\;and\;(K\;or\;T1)NO_3$ whose mole ratio was 1 : 5 for five days. Vacuum dehydration was done at $360^{\circ}C$ for 2d. Their structures were refined to the final error indices $R_1=0.072\;and\;R_w=0.057$ with 293 reflections, and $R_1= 0.058\;and\;R_w=0.044$ with 351 reflections, for which $I>2{\sigma}(I)$, respectively. In dehydrated $Sr_{31}K_{30}-X,\;all\;Sr^{2+}$ ions and $K^+$ ions are located at five different crystallographic sites. Six-teen $Sr^{2+}$ ions per unit cell are at the centers of the double six-rings (site I), filling that position. The remaining 15 $Sr^{2+}$ ions and 17 $K^+$ ions fill site II in the supercage. These $Sr^{2+}$ and $K^+$ ions are recessed ca $0.45{\AA}\;and\;1.06{\AA}$ into the supercage, respectively, from the plane of three oxygens to which each is bound. ($Sr-O=2.45(1){\AA}\;and\;K-O=2.64(1){\AA}$) Eight $K^+$ ons occupy site III'($K-O=3.09(7){\AA}\;and\;3.11(10){\AA}$) and the remaining five $K^+$ ions occupy another site III'($K-O=2.88(7){\AA}\;and\;2.76(7){\AA}$). In $Sr_{8.5}Tl_{75}-X,\;Sr^{2+}\;and\;Tl^+$ ions also occupy five different crystallographic sites. About 8.5 $Sr^{2+}$ ions are at site I. Fifteen $Tl^+$ ions are at site I' in the sodalite cavities on threefold axes opposite double six-rings: each is $1.68{\AA}$ from the plane of its three oxygens ($T1-O=2.70(2){\AA}$). Together these fill the double six-rings. Another 32 $Tl^+$ ions fill site II opposite single six-rings in the supercage, each being $1.48{\AA}$ from the plane of three oxygens ($T1-O=2.70(1){\AA}$). About 18 $Tl^+$ ions occupy site III in the supercage ($T1-O=2.86(2){\AA}$), and the remaining 10 are found at site III' in the supercage ($T1-O=2.96(4){\AA}$).
Effects of ZnO, PbO and SiO2 on the grain growth and magnetic properties of Sr-ferrite were investigated. (1) Addition of ZnO to Sr-ferrite increased remanence, but decreased coercivity and maximum energy product. (2) Addition of PbO up to 0.5 wt% increased (B$.$H)max of Sr-ferrite, but addition more than 0.5 wt% decreased (B$.$H)mzx (3) SiO2 addition to the 0.5 wt% PbO doped Sr-ferrite decreased remanence and increased coercivity. The coercivity increase in due to the grain refinement effect of SiO2. But addition of SiO2 more than 0.5 wt% invoked a decrease of coercivity and (B$.$H)max of Sr-ferrite due to abnormal grain growth. Sr-ferrite magnet having maximum energy product of 3.7MGOe was fabricated by using the roasting product of Pyrrhotite.
The adsorption of Cs-137 and Sr-90 onto kaolinite in prescence of major groundwater cations (Ca2+, K+, Na+) with different concentrations was simulated by using triple-layer surface complexation model (TL-SCM). The site density (8.73 sites/nm2) of kaolinite used for TL-SCM was calculated from it's CEC and specific surface area. TL-SCM modeling results indicate that concentrations dependence on 137Cs and 90Sr adsorption onto kaolinite as a function of pH is best modeled as an outer-sphere surface reaction. This suggests that Cs+ and Sr2+ are adsorbed at the $\beta$-layer in kaolinite-water interface where the electrolytes, Nacl, KCl and CaCl2, bind. However, TL-SCM results on Sr adsorption show a discrepancy between batch data and fitting data in alkaline condition. This may be due to precipitation of SrCO3 and complexation such as SrOH+. Intrinsic reaction constants of ions obtained from model fit are as follows: Kintcs=10-2.10, KintSr=10-2.30, KintK=10-2.80, KintCa=10-3.10 and KintNa=10-3.32. The results are in the agreement with competition order among groundwater ions (K+>Ca2+>Na+) and sorption reference of nuclides (Cs-137>Sr-90) at kaolinite-water interface showed in batch test.
High extracellular glucose concentration was reported to suppress intracellular $Ca^{2+}$ clearing through altered sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) function. In the present study, we attempted to elucidate the effects of pyruvate and fatty acid on SR function and reveal the mechanistic link with glucose-induced SR dysfunction. For this purpose, SR $Ca^{2+}$-uptake rate was measured in digitonin-permeabilized H9c2 cardiomyocytes cultured in various conditions. Exposure of these cells to 5 mM pyruvate for 2 days induced a significant suppression of SR $Ca^{2+}$-uptake, which was comparable to the effects of high glucose. These effects were accompanied with decreased glucose utilization. However, pyruvate could not further suppress SR $Ca^{2+}$-uptake in cells cultured in high glucose condition. Enhanced entry of pyruvate into mitochondria by dichloroacetate, an activator of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, also induced suppression of SR $Ca^{2+}$-uptake, indicating that mitochondrial uptake of pyruvate is required in the SR dysfunction induced by pyruvate or glucose. On the other hand, augmentation of fatty acid supply by adding 0.2 to 0.8 mM oleic acid resulted in a dose-dependent suppression of SR $Ca^{2+}$-uptake. However, these effects were attenuated in high glucose-cultured cells, with no significant changes by oleic acid concentrations lower than 0.4 mM. These results demonstrate that (1) increased pyruvate oxidation is the key mechanism in the SR dysfunction observed in high glucose-cultured cardiomyocytes; (2) exogenous fatty acid also suppresses SR $Ca^{2+}$-uptake, presumably through a mechanism shared by glucose.

Seasonal effects of the newly evolved bivoltine hybrid namely CSR$_2$${\times}$SR$_{5}$, SR$_1$${\times}$SR$_4$ and control hybrid KA${\times}$NB$_4$D$_2$ along with their parents SR$_1$, SR$_4$, SR$_{5}$, CSR$_2$ KA and NB$_4$D$_2$ were evaluated during different seasons of the year to understand genotype and environment interactions. Data were collected on five economic importance namely, pupation rate, cocoon yield, cocoon weight, cocoon shell ratio and filament length of the lines, hybrids and the control breeds/hybrid in three different seasons i.e., Pre-Monsoon, Monsoon and post-monsoon and subjected to relevant statistical methods. Seasonal performance of CSR$_2$, SR$_1$, SR$_4$ and SR$_{5}$ revealed superiority over control breeds KA and NB$_4$D$_2$. Both the hybrids i.e., CSR$_2$${\times}$SR$_{5}$ and SR$_1$${\times}$SR$_4$ performed well under diversified environmental conditions of tropical climate in a year indicating overall stability. These hybrids revealed highly significant (P < 0.01) variations for majority of the traits studied over the control hybrid KA${\times}$NB$_4$D$_2$.$.

This study searched for the status of medical Systematic Review(SR) publications in Korea and elsewhere for last 10 years, closely analyzing SR research papers by co-authors of Korean librarians. Through interviews with Korean librarians participating in SR, the activities, roles, and difficulties of these librarians were identified, and the results of the interviews helped explore new ways to promote collaboration in SR research. The result of the studied showed that the number of domestic and foreign SR studies has recently increased, and the number of cases where Korean librarians participated in SR research being officially credited as a co-author or acknowledgment source was also grow. The SR librarians in the Korean medical libraries were not only search experts, data collectors, and reference writers, but also did various activities such as designing search strategies, SR search records with complete reproducibility, and DB search tutorship. To promote SR support librarians participated in the interview suggested recruiting new librarians, retraining current librarians, and reformation courses in library and information science. As it is expected that the level of information demand of users and expectations for librarians would also increase in near future, SR librarians' activities and contributions seem to offer a guideline for academic library services that the others should pursue.
$Sr_2Ru_{1-x}Cu_xO_{4-y}(0.0{\le}x{\le}0.5)$ compounds were prepared using a conventional solid state reaction. Based on the Rietveld refinements of X-ray diffraction results, it is revealed that $Sr_2Ru_{1-x}Cu_xO_{4-y}$ compounds are the single phases with K2NiF4 type tetragonal system in the range of 0=x=0.3, while the mixed phases of$Sr_2RuO_4$ and $Sr_2CuO_3$ in the range of $0.4{\le}x{\le}0.5$. By means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, the valence states of Ru and Cu in $Sr_2Ru_{1-x}Cu_xO_{4-y}$, have been confirmed to 4+ and 2+, respectively. The bond length difference between $Ru-O_1 ({\times}4)\;and\;Ru-O_2 ({\times}2)\;in\;RuO_6$ octahedron is gradually decreased with increasing Cu content in $Sr_2Ru_{1-x}Cu_xO_{4-y}$, which results in the lower c/a ratio. So, it might be assured that the variation of local symmetry of $RuO_6$ octahedron is very closely related to the transporting property of $Sr_2Ru_{1-x}Cu_xO_{4-y}$ compounds. The behavior of resistivity discloses that the metallic property in $Sr_2RuO_4$ changes into the semiconducting one in proportion to the Cu content in $Sr_2Ru_{1-x}Cu_xO_{4-y}$.
Rb-Sr isochron ages, Sr and Nd isotopic compositions were determined for late Cretaceous granophyre on the Haenam-Wando areas, the southwestern part of the Yeongdong-Kwangju depression in Korea. The granophyre in the Haenam-Wando areas are distributed in the shape of a resurgent cauldron. Five samples of Haenam granophyre give a defined Rb-Sr whole rock isochron age of $75.7{\pm}7.2Ma$ and Sr initial ratio of $0.70826{\pm}0.00020(2{\sigma})$. Plagioclase, orthoclase and whole rock of Haenam granophyre give a defined Rb-Sr whole rock-mineral isochron age of $67.0{\pm}5.8Ma$ and Sr initial ratio of $0.708880{\pm}0.00028(2{\sigma})$. Five samples of Wando granophyre give a defined Rb-Sr whole rock isochron age of $70.6{\pm}3.3Ma$ and Sr initial ratio of $0.70850{\pm}0.00088(2{\sigma})$. Eight samples of Haenam granophyre give a defined Nd isotope ratios of 0.512180~0.512259 and ${\varepsilon}Nd$ (T) values of -6.53~-8.15, ${\varepsilon}Sr$ (T) values of +51.49~+66.48 and model age of 1.28~1.60 Ga. Four samples of Wando granophyre give a defined Nd isotope ratios of 0.512228~0.512289 and ${\varepsilon}Nd$ (T) values of -6.74~-8.00, ${\varepsilon}Sr$ (T) values of +54.88~+78.98 and model age of 1.14~1.42 Ga.

($Ba_x$$Sr_{1-x}$)$TiO_3$ (x=0.9, 0.7, 0.5) thin films were prepared on ITO-coated glass by sol-gel method. Perovskite phase formation temperature of BST thin films seemed to be higher than $600^{\circ}C$. Peaks of perovskite phase shift to high diffraction angles as the Sr/(Ba+Sr) ratio was increased, due to the smaller ionic size of $Sr^{2+}$ than $Ba^{2+}$ . As a heating temperature was increased, the grain became coarser. And as Sr/(Ba + Sr) ratio was increased, the grain became finer. Dielectric constants of the BST(50/50) thin film are higher and dielectric losses of that are lower than those of the others. Dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the BST(50/50) thin film were 652 and 0.042 at 1kHz, respectively.
