자기테이프용 Metal Powder의 초음파 분산에 의한 자기적 특성 향상에 관한 연구 (Study on Magnetic Property Enhancement of Metal Powders for Magnetic Tape by Using Ultrasonic Dispersion)

  • It was investigated the effect of ultrasonic treatment on magnetic property of ultra fine magnetic Fe powders ($\alpha$-Fe) for magnetic tape. The properties were characterized with vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), particle size analyzer (PSA) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). At 4hours ultrasonic treatment of 70 kHz, magnetic properties such as squareness ratio (S.Q. : 0.8868), orientation ratio (O.R. : 2.45) and switching field distribution (S.F. D. : 0.394) before taping were relatively enhanced. Cumulative particle size distribution of less than 5$\mu\textrm{m}$ fine powder was above 90% below 1 hour leaving time after ultrasonic treatment and it was supposed that ultrasonic treatment prevent aggregation. The magnetic values of S.Q. and S.F.D. of tape manufactured at 70 kHz and 4hour ultrasonic treatment were improved from 0.7747, 0.3818 to 0.8037, 0.3706, respectively. Electro-magnetic property used as in-output signal characteristic was improved, which showed that ultrasonic treatment developed the magnetic properties.

Mg-Mn훼라이트의 비자성 이온첨가에 의한 포화자화 감소효과 (A Study on the Effect of Reducing the Saturation Magnetization by Substituting the Non magnetic Ion in Mg Mn Ferrites)

  • 마이크로웨이브 Mg-Mn훼라이트에서 비자성 이온인 알루미늄으로 Fe 이온을 치환하여 포화자화를 낮출 수 있다. 이것은 마이크로웨이브 훼라이트의 사용 주파수 영역의 확장을 위해 필요하다. 이때 다른 특성의 변화가 수반되는 것은 검토해 봐야 할 점중의 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 MgO: MnO : $Fe_2O_3$를 1.0:0.1:0.95몰비로 제조한 마이크로 웨이브 훼라이트[화학식:$(MgO)_{1.0}(MnO)_{0.1}(Al_xFe_{1.9-x}O_{2.85}$]에서 AI을 0.1에서 0.4까지 첨가한 경우의 전기적.자기적 특성을 미세조직과 아울러 조사하였다. 포화자화 값은 첨가량에 따라 감소하였으며 강자성공명 선폭도 마찬가지였다. $H_c$ 값은 첨가량 0.2이상에서 103.48A/m(1.3Oe)이하로 나타났으며 각형비는 모두 우수하였다. 공명자기장은 첨가량에 따라 거의 변화가 없었다. 이상고 같은 실험결과로부터 적절한 조성범위에서 각각의 물성을 조합하여 넓은 범위의 마이크로웨이브 소자에 응용할 수 있는 제반 물성을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • This paper present an error compensation system and On-Machine Measurement(OMM) system for improving the machining accuracy of ultra-precision lathe. The Fast-Tool-Servo(FTS) driven by a piezoelectric actuator is applied for error compensation system. The controller is implemented on the 32bit DSP for feedback control of piezoelectric actuator. The control system is designed to compensates three kinds of machining errors such as the straightness error of X-axis slide, the thermal growth error of the spindle. and the squareness between spindle and X-axis slide. OMM is preposed to measure the finished profile of workpiece on the machine-tool using capacitive sensor with highly accurate ruby tip probe guided by air bearing. The data acquisition system is linked to the CNC controller to get the position of each axis in real-time. Through the experiments, it is founded that the thermal growth of spindle and tile squareness error between spindle and X-axis slide influenced to machining error more than straightness error of X-axis slide in small travel length. These errors were simulated as a sinusoidal signal which has very low frequency and the FTS could compensate the signal less than 30 m. The implemented OMM system has been tested by measuring flat surface of 50 mm diameter and shows measurement error less than 400 mm

  • The films with ferromagnetic fine particles dispersed in nonmagnetic matrix, such as $Fe-Al_2O_3$ and Fe-Cu have been studied for use of magnetic recording medium, optically device and sensor. Their magnetic properties depend strongly on structural parameter such as size and volume fraction of ferromagnetic particles. Fe-Cr-Ni alloy sputtered films also have microstructure with ferromagnetic -- b.c.c phase and nonmagnetic f.c.c phase grains. Magnetic properties of these films depend strongly on such a unique structure. These are depend on the ratio in volume of ferromagnetic particles to nonmagnetic ones $V_F/V_N$, the saturation magnetization Ms increased with increase of $V_F/V_N$. The coercivity Hc of the as-deposited films took maximum value of about 200 Oe at adequate $V_F/V_N$ and then Ms and Squareness S were 500 emu/cc and 0.5, respectively.(omitted)

A Study on the Deperm Protocols Considering Demagnetizing Field of a Ferromagnetic Material

  • Magnetic materials with large coercive force and high squareness ratio are currently developing to meet an industrial demand. Since a ferromagnetic material has hysteresis characteristics, it is hard to demagnetize a ferromagnetic material precisely. In this paper, we describe deperm processes and conduct an analysis of residual magnetization of ferromagnetic material using the Preisach modeling with a two-dimensional finite elements method (FEM). From the results, it was shown that an exponential decrement form of deperm protocol is more efficient than a linear decrement form because of the demagnetizing field in the ferromagnetic material.

  • Ferroelectric properties and reliability characteristics of(111) and (100) preferentially oriented tetragonal Pb(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3 (PZT) thin film capacitors have been investigated as a function of the top electrode thickness. The (111) preferentially oriented film exhibits 180$^{\circ}$domain switching process with better squareness of hysterisis loop and abrupt change of small singal capacitance-voltage comparing to the (100) preferentially oriented film having 90$^{\circ}$ domain switching process. The domain swithcing process of tetragonal phase PZT is different from that of rhobohedral phase. The film with thinner top electrode shows less initial switching polarization due to less compressive stress but it exhibits better endurance characteristics due to enhancing partial switching region.

  • This paper presents an useful technique for error assessment of CMM with simple gauges such as step gauge. A computer module for measurement path generation is implemented,where the appropriate measurement sequences are generated in terms of DMIS file format for CMMs of CNC mode. After the CNC codes are downloaded into CMMs, the measurement operations are performed, and the error analysis are followed. Positional errors, angular errors are successfully measured with high precision along the 3 axis in relatively short time. The squareness error is also assessed with the step gauge measurement data. The developed system has been practically applied, and showed good performance.

  • In this paper, Co-Cr thin films which are known for a excellent perpendicular magnetic recording media were prepared. Changing target- substrate distance, Ar gas pressure and arriving atoms, the incident angle and c-axis orientation properties by using the facing targets sputtering system. We evaluated the c-axis dispersion angle by measu ring half-height width with Micro area X-Ray Diffractometer, measured the thickness of thin film with Ellipsometer. The magnetic properties were compared measuring in-plane squareness and perpendicular coercivity with vibrating sample Magnetometer.

정밀전단금형에서 판누름압력과 삼각돌기가 전단특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Blankholding force and Vee-ring on the Blanking characteristics in Fine-Blanking Die)

  • This study was performed the blankholding force and Vee-ring effects on blanking characteristics, such as maximum blanking force, burnish, dish-shape, hardness. etc. in fine-blanking die by the experimental method. Two types of aluminum (Al.1050-O, Al, 5052-H) Such as annealed and unannealed materials were used for the experiment. In order to get a hydrostatic pressure effect, the clearance was set to 0.5% of the thickness of strip, and the counter punch and stripper plate with Vee-ring was set-up. While this experiment was carry8ing out, the average blanking velocity was constant (37.5mm/sec). As a result of this study, we got a good surface roughness and a dimensions, the good squareness and the reduction of dish-shape could be obtained, and also the additional results obtained were such that the hardness of shear plane was increased and the maximum blanking force was reduce in the condition of Vee-ring height of 1.0~1.5mm, and blankholding force of 1200kg.

Sputter-textured Mo 박막이 CoCrTa/Cr 자기기록매체의 자기적 성질에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Sputter-textured Mo Thin Film on Magnetic properties of CoCrTa/Cr Magnetic Recording Media)

  • The effect of Mo underlayer on the magnetic properties of CoCrTa/Cr films deposited on glass substrates were investigated. The coercivity increased and the coercivity squareness decreased by introducing Mo underlayer. The coercivity increase was attributed to the increase of in-plane c-axis orientation and magnetic isolation of Co grains deposited on Cr/Mo underlayer. The decrease of coercivity squarenesses seemed to be caused by the increase of magnetic isolation. The increase of magnetic isolation of Co grains was attributed to the diffusion of Mo atoms into grain boundaries of Co films and the physical isolation of Co grains. The coercivity of CoCrTa/Cr/Mo showed maximum values at Mo thickness of $400{\AA}$. The appearance of the maximum coercivity at that thickness was attributed to the development of strong $Co(10{\bar{1}}0)$ and $Co(10{\bar{1}}1)$ preferred orientation.
