유자과실의 반점피해 상황과 흡즙해충의 종류에 관하여 (The Status of Spot Damage and Fruit Piercing Pests on Yuzu (Citrus Junos) Fruit)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the status of spot damage by fruit piercing pests and the kinds of these pests on yuzu (Citrus junos) fruit in Koheung, the most chief producing district of yuzu fruit in Korea, from ’97 to ’99. The extent of spot damage by fruit piercing pests on yuzu was increasing in recent years. This damage of fruits was severe in the lower canopy than the high one from ground and intercropping groves between yuzu trees had a greater damage to compare with single cropping of yuzu. Spot damage of yuzu fruit was occurred mainly from late September to early November when yuzu fruit is enlarging and coloring yellow. The blackish concave spot on yuzu fruit surface was appeared in 3 days after introduction of Riptortus clavatus into a netted cage containing one yuzu fruit and the diameters of this spot was 8.3 mm. At 10 days after introduction, this spot changed into milky-white with 9.2 mm diameters. One concave spot has contained oil cells by 17.7 and its external appearances has unchanged until harvest. The kinds of piercing pests of yuzu fruit were investigated with 3 orders, 16 families and 37 species. These pests were classified by 11 species of bugs, 5 species of hoppers and 21 species of moths. Among them, dominant species were Physopelta gutta, Halyamorpha halys, Empoasca vitis, Aedia leucomelas, Agrotis tokionis, etc. Macroglossum bombylans and Acherontia s쇼x are newly confirmed species as the fruit piercing moths in Korea.

FATIGUE DAMAGE PARAMETER OF SPOT WELDED JOINTS UNDER PROPORTIONAL LOADING

  • In this paper, the author proposes a fatigue damage parameter of spot welded joints under proportional loading. The proposed fatigue damage parameter is developed based on von Mises' equivalent stress and local structural stress at the edge of spot weld nugget. The structural stress at the edges of the weld nugget in each sheet is calculated using the forces and moments that are determined by finite element analysis. A structural equivalent stress is then calculated by von Mises' equivalent stress equation. The structural equivalent stresses are correlated to experimental fatigue life of the spot welded joints. The proposed parameter is evaluated with fatigue test data of spot welds subjected to multi axial and tensile-shear loads. Sheppard's parameter and Rupp and co-workers' parameter are also evaluated with the same test data to compare with the author's parameter. This proposed parameter presents a better correlation with experimental fatigue data than those of Sheppard's and Rupp and co-workers' parameter. The proposed parameter should be very effective for durability calculations during the early design phase since coarsely meshed finite element models can be employed.

  • 본 연구에서는 2005년 4월 강원도지역의 대규모 산불로 인해 발생한 산림피해면적과 그에 따른 피해액 산정을 목적으로 하였다. 정확한 산림피해액의 산정을 위해서는 정확한 피해지역의 분류, 수고 의 결정이 중요하며, 이를 위해 SPOT-4 위성 영상을 이용하여 산불피해가 발생한 지역의 면적을 계산하고, 항공 및 지상 LiDAR 자료를 활용하여 수고모델을 생성하였다. 수고모델로부터 나무의 높이값을 결정하고, 임상도로부터 피해지역내 수종, 밀도를 추출함으로서 임분재적을 계산하였으며, 2005년 4월 고시된 입목가격을 기준으로 산림피해액을 산정하였다.

피로손상의 누적에 따른 강성변화를 고려한 점용접부의 진동피로해석 (Vibration Fatigue Analysis of Spot Welded Component considering Change of Stiffness due to Fatigue Damage)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 진동 피로해석 기법을 적용하여 다수의 용접점을 포함하고 있는 점용접 구조물의 강성변화를 고려하여 피로수명을 평가하는 것이다. 먼저 모재부 인장특성 및 점용접부의 인장 및 피로특성을 획득하였다. 유한요소법을 적용하여 S-N 선도를 획득하여 피로해석에 적용하였다. 주파수 응답해석을 수행하여 구조물의 전달함수를 획득하였고, 주파수영역에서 0.11의 PSD를 선정하여 수행하였다. 강성변화 및 고유진동수의 변화를 알아보기 위하여 점용접부의 총 6개 지점 중 최소수명이 발생하는 지점을 기준으로 1개씩 제거하여 반복 해석을 수행하였다. 따라서 강성이 낮아질수록 고유주파수도 낮아지는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 조건하에서 진동피로해석을 수행하여 피로손상의 누적에 따른 전달합수의 변화를 고려한 진동피로해석을 수행하였다.

도심 실내조경 식물의 적절한 생육에 필요한 광조건 - 서울시 광화문 교보생명빌딩 그린하우스를 대상으로 - (Light Conditions for Suitable Growth of Urban Interior Plants - In Case of Green House within Kyobo Building, Seoul -)

  • 본 연구는 교보생명빌딩 그린하우스를 대상으로 광조건에 따른 수목피해 및 생육상태 영향을 조사 분석하여 실내식물의 적절한 생육환경을 유지할 수 있는 적정 조도기준 도출을 목적으로 하였다. 광조건에 따른 조도현황과 고사목 교체주수, 수목피해율을 분석하여 생육조건에 따른 문제점을 파악하고 적정 조도기준을 도출하였다. 조도조사 결과 남측 음지와 양지에서 각각 531lux, 602lux로 가장 낮은 차이를 보인 반면에, 중앙 음지와 양지에서 210lux, 782lux로 약 500lux의 가장 높은 차이가 발생하였다. $1990{\sim}2004$년간 수목고사 조사결과 식재된 수목 중 아왜나무가 161주로 교체율이 가장 높았으며, 대나무 69주, 동백나무 40주, 후피향나무 40주 등의 순으로 조사되었다. 수목피해도 결과는 수종에 관계없이 채광이 양호한 양지구역에서는 평균 수목피해율이 $4.4{\sim}6.4%$로 경미하였으며, 음지구역에서는 수목피해율이 $21.9{\sim}48.8%$로 심각한 피해현상이 나타났다. 조도를 독립변수로, 수목피해도를 종속변수로 상관분석과 회귀분석을 각각 실시한 결과, 조도가 낮아질수록 수목피해율은 증가하였다. 조도가 $500{\sim}600lux$ 사이에서 피해율이 급격히 감소하였으며, 700lux 수준에서 피해율이 최소화되었다. 따라서 실내식물의 광조건에 의한 피해율을 줄이기 위해서는 최소 700lux이상의 조도가 필요한 것으로 판단되었다.

소손된 배선용 차단기 동작상태에 의한 전기화재 규명의 신뢰성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Authoritativeness of Electric Fire by Activating of Fire Damaged MCCB)

  • In the fire there are fusion signs and damage by fire, and insulation aging and carbonization of the electric wiring in the ignition spot because of special characteristic of the appliance in the electricity fire. Because of the physical factor applied in the damage of fire, the decision of ignition spot by eye investigation is insufficient. In this paper, the cause of electricity fire is researched. The focus is on the operation state of operated MCCB(Molded Case Circuit Breaker) at the time of electricity fire. Through grasping the operation principle of MCCB and the experiment, the state of MCCB after fire suppression is discriminated. The distinction possibility on the exist of electricity fire is proposed.

Hot spot stress approach for Tsing Ma Bridge fatigue evaluation under traffic using finite element method

  • The hot spot stress approach is usually adopted in the fatigue design and analysis of tubular welded joints. To apply the hot spot stress approach for fatigue evaluation of long span suspension bridges, the FEM is used to determine the hot spot stress of critical fatigue location. Using the local finite element models of the Tsing Ma Bridge, typical joints are developed and the stress concentration factors are determined. As a case for study, the calculated stress concentration factor is combined with the nominal representative stress block cycle to obtain the representative hot spot stress range cycle block under traffic loading from online health monitoring system. A comparison is made between the nominal stress approach and the hot spot stress approach for fatigue life evaluation of the Tsing Ma Bridge. The comparison result shows that the nominal stress approach cannot consider the most critical stress of the fatigue damage location and the hot spot stress approach is more appropriate for fatigue evaluation.

인장-전단 하중을 받는 점용접부의 피로 수명 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Life Evaluation of Spot Welded Joints under Tensile-Shear Loading)

  • The spot welding method has been used in the joining of structures, automotive body, railway carriage, aircraft, household electric appliances, precision parts etc., because of brief working, easy automation, available mass production, and convenience. In this paper, the effects of welding conditions on the fatigue life and the prediction of fatigue life based on fracture mechanics theory of spot welded joint were investigated. Fatigue tests were conducted with the tensile-shear specimens welded in the various current using cold rolled steel sheets. Fatigue life of spot welded joint was predicted and compared with experimental results. Using FEM(finite element method), we analysed the distribution of stress and the condition of deformation on the environments of nugget.

  • Thin spot welding is frequently used for industrial purpose, such as automobile and aerospace industries and household appliances due to its high performance. In these days, the systemization of welding process made it possible to produce more precise or smaller electric parts. And when it comes to welding of steel sheets, the size of nugget must be getting smaller. Therefore, welding conditions are limited to avoid defects, such as deformation, damage and weakening of joining area. In this research, thin spot welding establishes the welding conditions, and then the measurement of the nugget size by the nondestructive inspection has been conducted. As a result, the right estimation of the nugget size, the detection of corona bond near joining area, the selection of the optimum ultrasonic mode, and setup for ultrasonic inspection are studied. From the trustworthy solutions of the nugget size estimated by results of measurement, the optimum inspection conditions depending upon the width of welding parts are determined as well.

점용접의 간격 변화에 의한 구조 강성 영향 평가 연구 (A Study of the Effects on the Structural Strength by Change of Spot Welding Pitch)

  • In general, spot welding is used at no welding rod or flux for the process, low welding point temperature compared to arc welding, short heating time, less damage to the parent material, and low deformation and residual stress, relatively. Also, because of the pressurization effect, better mechanical qualities of the welding parts are obtained. Therefore, in various fields of industry its rapid operation speed can make mass production possible such as motor industry. In FEM analysis for the spot welding process, it is effective to use simple modeling rather than complicated one because of its numerous number of spots and reduction of analysis time. Therefore, this study provides with not only simplification of modeling analysis by using beam component composition of structure without re-compositing the spot welding point mesh but also modeling analysis of which property of fracture strength is reflected. In addition complete spot welding model is examined at rectangular post shape (hat shape) by impact test, compared the results, and verified its validity. As a result, it is possible to optimize the welding position and to recognize the strength of structure and the proposed equal distance model shows the effect of welding point reduction and improvement of stiffness.
