Black froak coat, white shirts, top hat and cane has been the symbol of gentlemen in 19th and early of 20th century. The pattern invented by Savile Row in London prevailed whole England. Such a pattern has been the standard form for two hundred years all over the word, although it was replaced with a functionalism which developed in Italy and America at the end of 20th century. The clothes of gentlemen was developed by several factors ; English people respect a tradition. The clothes was practical, since the weather in England was bad. The success of Industrial Revolution made England wealthy. Various special clothes in sports, for example, riding, criket, golf and tennis also contribute the modern gentlemen clothes with advance tailoring technique. The change of gentlemenship with social environment, from Regency dandy, Romantic gentlemen to Muscular Christianity, was studied. Idial gentlemenship and development its clothes which is now the standard of modern men's wear also studied.

1스포츠 양말의 쾌적성과 항균성에 영향을 주는 인자 중에서 특히 양말의 항균성은 위생적인 쾌적감에 중요한 요소이고, 반복되는 착용과 관리도중 에 발생하는 양말의 형태변화는 착용자의 Fit감에 영향을 준다. 본 연구에서는 20종류의 양말시료를 섬유종류, 실의 굵기, 편성조직, 가공처리를 실험조건에 맞게 고려하여 직접 편성하거나 구입하여 사용하였다. 항균가공된 시판 양말의 항균성과 내세탁성, 양말의 착용과 관리 중에 문제가 되는 형태안정성에 관한 실험결과로서 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 시판되는 항균가공양말의 항균성과 내세탁성은 모든 시료에서 매우 우수하게 나타나, 위생적인 의생활을 원하는 소비자들의 쾌적감을 충족시킬 수 있다. 2. 양말의 착용 중 또는 관리 중에 형태안정성을 결과를 보면, 섬유의 종류 편성조직에 영향을 받는데, 특히 면양말의 제작 시에는 착용 중에 발생하는 폭방향의 이완현상과 관리 중에 발생하는 길이수축현상을 고려하여 부위별 크기를 조절해야, Fit 감을 유지하며 이수축에 의한 문제발생을 줄일 수 있다.

Silk fabrics are very popular and widely used because of their elegant appearance. However, silk fabrics generally have easy wrinkle, and do not stretch and deform permanently after machine washing. Then the stretched properties of silk fabrics are important for the application of industrial textile materials such as formal and sports wear. Thus, this research surveys the covering, weaving and degumming conditions for stretched silk fabrics. As a result, yarn breaking stress was reduced with increasing spindle speed, and the yarn twists were optimized under the covering condition of polyurethane/silk with PVA pretreatment. In addition, the shrinkage of the silk fabrics treated with star degumming process was reduced by continuous NaOH degumming process. The fabrics showed the fabric physical properties with optimum stretched properties and evenness surfaces.

패션트렌드와 소비자감성에 적합한 패션소재를 기획, 선정하는데 도움을 주는 컴퓨터 기반의 의사 결정시스템이 개발되었다. 패션소재로서의 유용성을 결정하는 속성을 두께, 무게, 밀도, 광택, 색상등으로 한정한 후 다속성 모델을 구축하였다. 각 속성들의 가중치는 의류 매장의 방문객 대상의 설문 조사에 의해 결정되었으며, 한 소재의 최조 가치는 퍼지 추론 시스템에 의해 계산되었다. 구축된 “퍼지-다속성” 모델을 이용하여 패션소재의 총 가치를 i) 품질로부터의 가치, ii) 품질을 기반으로 부가되는 가치, iii) 품질과는 무관하게 형성되는 브랜드 가치의 세가지 요소롤 분해하였다. 시중의 유명 스포츠 의류 브랜드 2종을 선정하여 위의 모델을 적용하였다. 위의 모델은 컴퓨터 시스템으로 개발되어, 특정 소재의 기본정보가 입력이 되면 그에 해당하는 감성정보로 변환되는 소재 평가 시스템과 역으로 원하는 감성 어휘를 입력하면 그에 해당하는 소재를 제안하는 소재 기획 시스템의 독립적인 두 요소로 구성된다.

The mouth guard is a device with elasticity to be installed in the oral cavity. It has a function to reduce the trauma in the oral cavity and to protect the teeth and surrounding tissues from trauma. The purpose of mouth guard is to prevent trauma and concussion. It is mandatory to wear a mouthguard in sports where there is a lot of contact and the possibility of trauma or concussion in the mouth area is high. The mouse guard is divided into a stock type, a mouth formed type, and a custom made type according to the manufacturing method. The custom made type is made on the individual dentition model and has excellent retention because of its excellent fit. Also, the effect of trauma prevention is excellent. It is possible to design and adjust by the dentist and reduce the complaint the athlete has about the mouthguard. In this article, the process of making a dentist-customized mouthguard was described.

This research focus on analyzing the quality of clothing product in view of consumer's sensibility trend with a emphasis on measuring objective quality of pruduct. The fuzzy logic-based multi attribute model has been developed in order to evaluate the quality of clothing product. The overall quality of a clothing products can be divided into two distinct terms, product quality and brand value. Those two values are further analyzed with a relation to human sensibility.

This study provides the structural design for commercialization of outdoor breathable waterproof jackets for men merged with solar cells to enable emergency communications, utilizing wearable devices to develop smart clothing and extend convenience in everyday life. The most popular waterproof jacket with two-layer and three-layer moisture-permeable waterproof fabric was selected, based on previous studies of functional outdoor jackets and style with affinity to fashion. Flexible solar films suitable for clothing were embedded in the lining of the sleeve area and hood visor, and printed film was developed to balance weight and design. High performance smart solar jackets have application to expanding the use of smart phones for everyday and emergency communication, and leisure and outdoor sports activities, as well as day-to-day functions as a waterproof breathable outdoor jacket for men. It is also eco-friendly. Satisfying both the aesthetic and practical, a solar cell jacket with smart features, is an innovative tool for use in a variety of outdoor activities, and a fashion-forward commercialized product.

Fashion has been affected by the change of periodic conditions. A good example is found in the relationship between fashion and periodic conditions before and after World War I in the U.S. During the pre-wartime, the artificial silhouette achieved through using devices like the corset was popular and then women's dresses were very decorative and gorgeous using a wide variety of details. S-curved silhouettes and Paul Poiret's style will be reviewed as distinctive shapes of pre-war fashion in the beginning of the 20th Century. Through the war, women's rights improved enormously, the use of the automobile increased tremendously, and various kind of sports, the movie industry and ready-to-wear market developed very much. Women's clothes also changed to be much more practical and functional in post-war fashion. It seems that fashion is affected by the change of periodic conditions.

The purpose of this study is to provide implications by conducting research on brand benefits for skiwear brand customers. For this purpose, a structural equation model was established and empirical research was conducted by selecting brand convenience as a hygiene variable and brand emotion, brand satisfaction, and repurchase intention as endogenous variables. In order to analyze the general characteristics of the subjects, frequency analysis was conducted using SPSS 25 and Cronbach's alpha analysis was conducted using the same statistical program. Confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were conducted using AMOS 21. In addition, the benefits of skiwear brand, which is an independent variable, were composed of two sub-dimensions, and psychological benefits rather than functional benefits were found to have a stronger impact on brand emotion, suggesting practical implications.

Measuring energy burn during intensive combat sport has been a challenging concerns for a long time. In the present article, the energy consumption during combat sports is measured by use of wearable GoBe2 equipped with nanotechnology measuring devices. In this regard, 12 professional combat athletes were asked to wear GoBe2 devices during different sessions of intensive combat exercises. The curves provided by GoBe2 nano-sensor devices are further collected and analyzed for different combat durations. On the other hand, energy consumption in these athlete is calculated using other validated methods to evaluate reliability of GoBe2 wearable devices. Based on the results obtained from these experiments a multi-parameter mathematical model is presented for estimation of combat calorie consumptions. The results show that nanotechnology in these type of sensors could help in estimation of calorie consumption during combat. Moreover, the reliability of using wearable GoBe2 sensors are satisfactory except for some specific conditions. The mathematical model provides a satisfactory results based on athlete physical condition and also duration of the combat with about 8% error margin in the results.
