  • Purpose: The purpose of the study is to review the current states of new sports imported from foreign countries and to discuss strategic insights for promoting new sports which has been invented in Korea. Research design, data, and methodology: This study employed the qualitative approach, in which reviewed a related literature. First, the study selected flying disc, sports stacking, and T-ball as sample cases. This is because these new sports were recognized the prominent sports frequently played in physical education classes in Korea. Second, the study reviewed prior studies in the field of distribution and marketing in order to determine the criteria of analysis and variables that frequently examined in distribution and marketing studies. Finally, the study confirmed such terminologies as research variables including new sport name, organization name, background of the invented sports, distributional channel, promotional activities and so forth. To collect data, the study search literature via academic search engine including DBpia, KISS, RISS, ScienceDirect, SAGE Journals, SpringerLink, and Taylor & Francis. Results: It was found that all of the imported new sports organized association and its nationwide branches to deliver their sprots to local schools and recreational markets. second, they targeted schools and sought to broaden their markets to recreational communities. Conclusions: In order to promote new sport invented in Korea, associations need to be systematically organized and mission should be clearly stated. In addition, creative methods for promotion need to be developed. Future directions were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the change of wellness health awareness among 168 university students od D city participating in sports physical fitness class. Wellness health awareness was surveyed using Korean Wellness Questionnaire (KWLS) and the collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and two-way ANOVA depending on the research purpose. The results showed that the wellness health awareness of university students did not show statistically significant interaction effect between gender and class(before and after class), but differences between gender and enforcement factors were significant in some sub - area). Based on these results, it is necessary to provide intensive health management class to university students for the solution of positive change of well-being health awareness besides various physical education class by each university.

In order to achieve the purpose of this study, totalling 329 students were recruited from several different university. Data were collected by using convenience sampling method. Research model and hypothesis testing were conducted by using SEM(structural equation modeling) through AMOS 18.0. The result were as follows; First, sports brand ideal self-image positively influenced on brand affect. Second, brand affect had significantly effect brand attitude and purchase intention. Third, brand attitude positively influenced purchase intention toward sports brands. The finding s also revealed effect of ideal self-image congruity in there relationships between self-image and brand affect.

  • This thesis analyzed that which countries won the Olympic medals more efficiently at the Olympic Games. Unlike the previous studies, I measured efficiency under the CRS, found implications for investment to improve sports skills through understanding the characteristics of sports race. A methods for research is a DEA-based approach which measures efficiency by using the data only, not assuming the parameters. The inputs are total population and GDP, the output is Olympic medals at 2004 Athens Olympic Games and 2006 Turin Winter Olympic Games. I applied different weights based on the medal colors. The results showed the tendencies that the larger the scales of total population and GDP were, the lower efficient values were. These tendencies imply that sports skills are related with the law of diminishing returns and international convergence. According to these phenomenons, surging investments for sports performance are hard to get proper justification. In the case of limited resources, investing uniformly in various sport entries is more productive than in just one or two sport entries.

  • In this paper, suggests a gamification analysis method applied to screen sports. The analysis method is through the process of comparison, collection and application. In the process of comparison, compare the characteristics of actual sports and screen sports and Data collection to complement the differences derived from the comparison process is done during the collection process. Process of application is verify for application status of Gamification. and analyzed of screen golf and screen baseball. The result shows that screen golf couldn't apply walking exercise in the comparison process, and screen baseball couldn't apply exercise elements except batting. During the collection process, driving distance and swing data were used for screen golf, and driving distance, batting average and RBI (runs batted in) data were used for screen baseball. Lastly, it was revealed during the application process that both screen golf and screen baseball provide data to users by using reward, competition and Self-expression elements of gamification. The analysis methods presented in this study can be a method to analyze screen sports, and are expected to be appropriate methods to make screen sports.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of postural sway on the kinematic variables of the putter head during golf putting and to provide information to the importance of postural sway control in the putting stroke for novice golfers. Method: The center of pressure (CoP) and Kinematics variables of the putter head were calculated during 2 m flat golf putting using 8 motion capture cameras (250 Hz) and 2 force plate (1,000 Hz). SPSS 24.0 was used to perform Pearson's correlation coefficient and simple regression analysis, and the statistically significance level was set to .05. Results: As a result of analyzing the correlation between CoP variables and the putter head rotation angle, the CoP moving length, CoP moving range (ML direction), and CoP moving velocity (ML direction) showed a positive correlation with the putter head rotation angle (yaw axis) and were statistically significant. Conclusion: Therefore, In order to perform the accurate putting stroke maintaining the ball's directionality, it is determined that it is important to control posture sway in the ML directions by minimizing the movement and velocity of the CoP.
